I've been looking for a classic movie more in the manner of how I remember so many of them--scary at the time but non-threatening. Dracula, Werewolf, etc., were scary, but not real to me. Nowadays, whatever is on the screen is often capable of not only scaring my britches off, but, also, of coming knocking on my door, given the world we are living in. Thoroughly enjoyed this who-done-it without having a breakdown from the realism with which it was presented since it wasn't presented as realistic. Glad I am old enough to have memories of gentler times. Thank you for reading my review and please have a good day and life.

The plot of this is fair enough. The characters are fun enough. This is four stars and watchable as the color of the day shows the past outside the black and white movies and TV shows of the era. As a movie, Scared to Death, is fair enough. As a color stamp of history it rocks. Bella Lugosi always added an interesting charm to his roles.

1 star: couldn't watch more than 15 minutes. Unwatchable! 2 star: jumped my way to the end for the ending. Unwatchable, but interested in how this turd ended. 3 star: watched it all, but not happy about it. Nothing better to do. 4 star: I watched it, liked it well enough. Would never watch it again. 5 star: Great moving picture show! I'll watch it again, and maybe again in a few years.

I love these old movies and with Bela Lugosi in it made it worth watching this was a very good movie .

More amusing than frightening. This movie would be a good candidate for "Svengoolie," a Chicago personality who plays old movies and makes amusing comments about them. I recommend it if you want to be amused.

Fans of MST3K will remember Jerry Warren as the director of The Wild, Wild World of Batwoman, and this has all the classic Warren hallmarks: badly shot, bad sound, bad acting, bad dialogue, and an incredibly cheap, shoddy look. Warren said in an interview that he never tried to make anything worthwhile, he only did enough to get by, so they would buy it, so it would play, and he'd get a few dollars, and this certainly shows in his work.

"Scared to Death" is one of the best movies, I ever watched. George Zucco and Bela Lugosi are at their best. Everybody has something to hide, so everyone is a potential victim of blackmail. If you want suspense and mystery, then this movie is for you. However, the seller, videoluvr has sent me a defective tape, that I have to constantly re-adjust the tracking. Try enjoying a film with the tracking all screwed up every four to seven minutes. The movie is one of the best, but please refrain from purchasing from this vendor.

Bought this as a Lugosi and old-movie fan, and it was fairly entertaining; a bit humorous at times. Definitely not hardcore suspense and not a best-ever contender, but Lugosi's performance was alright and it was an enjoyable low-impact movie--maybe something to watch while eating dinner, etc.; not bad for the price.

A meteor strikes a houseboat in the swamps near a southern town populated by Yankees with fake accents. The people on the houseboat become zombies who feed on the alligators in the swamp. Once they run out of alligators, they start going for the citizens. All the ingredients for a solid cult flick
The makers of My Boyfriends Back, obviously saw this film a number of times. The likable cast of unknowns help to pull this above the majority of 80s cult wannabes. The plot centers around six friends trying to score some weed to loosen up their prom dates. It's been a very dry year, so only dealer Moose(who Backlash007 perfectly described as a meshing of Jerry Stiller with Cheech Marin) has the only "weed" in town. His product is subpar to say the least, so the buddies decide to get a refund, which Moose refuses to honor. This leads to the guys killing Moose, and disposing of his body in a contaminated river. Well, the contamination brings Moose back from the dead, as a crazed revenge seeking zombie. After Moose kills baseball stud Dan(a remarkable performance by Michael Rubin), his friends decide to dump his body into the river, thus re-animating him to serve as undead protection from the zombie Moose. This film is very clever, in the league of Evil Dead and Re-Animator, and should be considered a great cult film. Personally, my favorite scene was when Dan day-dreams about swatting a clutch homerun, that kills the crazed Moose. Well worth a look for people who like witty comedy sprinkled with their horror.
