Teenagers face a number of problems these days, and just as our society has changed over time, so have the problems faced by teens. Female teenagers are no longer considered educationally subnormal when compared to men like they were years ago, which is one problem that no longer exists, but now young women are under tremendous pressure to have sex without the prerequisite of a meaningful relationship. Below are a few more problems faced by teenagers these days.
This is a rather large problem for teenagers, and is the main reason why teenagers use essay writing companies and buy answer keys. A modern student living in the West is told that if he or she does not get a degree, then he or she will be a lower income earner for the rest of his or her life. There is also the pressure to do well that comes from society, parents and the educational institutions themselves. Many western teens suffer from a range of stress related illnesses and even stress related conditions such as grinding their teeth or IBS.
Drugs are everywhere, and this is especially true in North America where a lot of money may be made from selling drugs to kids. Acceptance into peer groups is often conditional of them taking drugs of some sort (most often ecstasy and marijuana), and since teens often have trouble judging the long-term repercussions of their actions, they are often caught up in addiction from an early age.
It often comes down to a question of loyalty, but to whom a teenager should be loyal is quite mixed. If a teenager cannot find that loyalty within a family environment, then he or she may look towards a gang or church. Join a church and the teen is bullied for believing in a super-monster in the sky, and join a gang and you are bullied by the police. The word loyalty is often thrown around when morality is questioned, for example, a person withholds criminal information on another person because it was the Christian thing to do (a la loyalty to a god). Another example may be a person who withholds criminal information on another person because that other person is in their gang (a la loyalty to their gang/family).
Teenage hormones do play a part in teen life
The effect of hormones is not as dramatic as the TV may make you think. Teens do not lose their sense of right and wrong, or become irrational (in a technical sense). But, as any woman who suffers from may tell you, hormones are capable of making a person more emotional and sensitive than usual. Add this to a teenage body, which is not used to dealing with such emotional shifts, and you get some very odd behavior and reactions.
The conflict of being liked as oppose to being an individual
The “norm” is often all that is required in order to make it through education. A person must have no major differences to all the other students in order to avoid the harshest ridicule. However, teenage years are often a time for self discovery, and this often means exposing individuality. Doing this will create a conflict between being oneself and acting/dressing/talking the same way as others.

Today in the modern society, there a lot of problems, especially problems related with teenagers. A lot of factors influenced in this situation. For example some teenagers felt lack of love from their parents. Another factor is the lack of education because of poverty. In most of the cases the problems deal with drugs, alcohol, prostitution, teen pregnancy, depression, etc.
Drugs between teenagers is the most serious problem, because it causes a change in the behavior of any person and a physical change too. Most of the teenagers used them as an escape from their problems or sometimes they used them because of their friend's influence. Poor children used it too, to forget their cold and hunger.
Alcoholism is a society's sickness that affects all people, from teenagers to older ones. It is consider as a modern way to have fun and if you drink alcohol you are accepted between your friends. People who drink alcohol think that they can forget their problems and go out from reality if they do that. I think it is very bad to drink alcohol because it can turn in an addiction and when a person drinks, he or she isn't in their 5 felts to take any decision.
Another problem is the prostitution. Most teenagers have to do this because they don't find a good job and they need money. With this problem they can became sick with Aids and other diseases. Another consequence can be teen pregnancy because they don't have a good education and they don't know way to carry themselves.

Every year thousands of teens die not from cancer or car accidents, but by their own hand. They make the choice that they want to die and they take their life. Suicide is the fastest growing killer of youth in world and if left unaddressed, it will help bring about disastrous consequences for us. Teenage suicide is indeed a great plight.
Statistics show that more than 13 of every 1000,000 teenager took their life in 1998 and that number is rising every year. In fact suicide kills teens 3 to 6 times more than homicide. Although suicide rates over the past 40 years are relatively stable, the incidence of suicide among 15-24 years olds has tripled, while the rate among 15-19 year olds has quadrupled.
The number of deaths by teen suicide is rising quickly and it must be stopped. Why are those committing suicide? There are many factors, which lead teenagers today to take their own life.

Suicide is genetically influenced. It may be the result of an underlying personality or predisposition to mental illness that is inherited. One other cause is the imitative thinking of our youth. The two major causes of teen suicide are the homophobic sentiments of the people and struggles within the family unit.
Struggles and problems within the family are also a big factor of teen suicide Youngsters who commit suicide are somewhat more likely to come from a broken home than are youngsters of the same ethnic group with both biological parents at the time of the death.
The absence of a strong relationship to parent-child friction and a significant excess of poor parent-child communication also lead to teen suicide. What can be done to cripple the rise in teen suicide? There are three steps in the fight against the problem access, illumination and methodology.
The access to services and programmes dealing with the issue must be enhanced, the public’s awareness be broadened or illuminated and the scientific approach to the problem be continued. The problem is still not being addressed as it should be. Many teenagers are still dying.
