Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003
Things Change: In their underground lair deep beneath the city streets, the Turtles and Master Splinter are suddenly attacked by a horde of Mouser robots!
The Turtles discover the source of the Mouser robots that trashed their old lair: Dr. Baxter Stockman -- a noted technological genius/inventor, who tries to pass off the Mousers as a means to eradicate the city's rat problem.
When April O'Neil wakes up in the Turtle's lair she has major trouble dealing with the reality of four giant talking Turtles and a Zen-master rat, but she calms down when she hears the official ORIGIN of the TMNT!
Raphael is a little cooped up underground with only his brothers and Master Splinter. When Raphael almost clobbers Michelangelo in some brotherly sparring, it's pretty apparent that Raphael needs to get out ... let off a little steam.
When a scientist accidentally unleashes a super-powered Nanotech monster with a childlike mind, it adopts a small-time grifter as its father figure, and the mayhem begins!
The Turtles, investigating a strange blackout, discover the Foot Ninja stealing a Japanese ceremonial sword from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
After Casey Jones makes himself an wnwanted guest in the Turtles' lair, Raphael takes him topside for a "breath of fresh air", where they encounter the Foot Tech Ninjas.
On a nightly training run, the Turtles and Casey Jones break up a Purple Dragon robbery.
The boys have made friends with a group of homeless people and are worried when they start mysteriously disappearing into the night!
Oroku Saki (aka the Shredder) attempts to convince Leonardo that Saki is fighting the good fight ... that he's out there carrying on the great tradition of Bushido and Ninjitsu, and the turtles should stand with him.
Our four turtles stand facing their most formidable foe to date ... the Shredder. Beaten and battle weary, the turtles get separated from one another during the martial arts mayhem and a building collapse!
Believing the Turtles can accomplish so much more for the city, and inspired by iconic superhero Silver Sentry, Michelangelo decides to take a crack at being a superhero.
13. Notes From The Underground Part 1
When Don's examination of some mysterious crystals attracts the attention of a subterranean monster, the Turtles underground exploration unearths a Foot Genetics Lab!
14. Notes From The Underground Part 2
After discovering an abandoned underground Foot Genetics Lab, and being attacked by once-human Digging Creatures, the Turtles assist those very creatures in trying to repair a Force Field.
15. Notes From The Underground Part 3
After befriending the once-human creatures in an abandoned underground Foot Genetics Lab, the Turtles join them on a journey deeper into the earth, where they come upon the ruins of a once-great subterranean city.
With all the turtles living in April's apartment, things are getting a little crazy. But, when Donatello stumbles upon a fantastic monster in the basement, things get crazier.
On a training run Leo is ambushed by a major Foot attack force, including Foot Tech Ninjas, their old enemy Hun, and a new threat: the Foot Elite!
When the Foot Ninja attack April's apartment in force, the Turtles fight against overwhelming odds to get the wounded Leo to safety.
The Turtles, Splinter, Casey and April just barely manage to escape from the explosion that destroys the antique store. They hit the road and hide out at Casey's grandmother's old farmhouse, but Leonardo is badly wounded.
Still recuperating up at Casey's grandmother's farm, the turtles are feeling the sting of boredom. Luckily, a scientist known as the "Monster Hunter" has come to the area searching for a legendary monster...
The Turtles return to New York (as the title might suggest) with one goal in mind: to destroy the Shredder once and for all.
The Turtles and Splinter continue to fight their way up through the Foot Headquarters skyscraper, facing down three misshapen Mutant Shredder Clones, a hallway of traps, and never-before-seen supernatural foes.
With Stockman showing up in the middle of the final battle between our heroes and the Shredder, everything is thrown into chaos ... so much so that our heroes must join forces with the Shredder and Hun to defeat Stockman.
With Splinter mysteriously vanished last episode, the Turtles are feeling frustrated, not knowing where to start looking for him. Impatient with strategizing, Raph heads off on his own, and runs into a solo adventure.
After the frustrated Turtles exhaust their search for Splinter, their suspicions turn to the Guardians, and the trail soon leads them to a non-descript building, the initials of its company name spelling out "TCRI."

I saw the original series back in the 80s, and like everyone did back then--loved it. I watched the cartoons regularly, and each movie as it came out. The franchise had a good run, but I didn't expect to see it come back. Much to my surprise, in 2003 a brand new cartoon appeared--and the turtles were more serious, the Shredder was actually intimidating, rather than the bumbling villain from the 80s--it didn't take long before I was sucked in. But the DVD releases were lackluster. When everyone else was releasing season sets for $40-$50, you could only buy TMNT episodes 3 to a disc at $15! So I held off on buying them, hoping the company would come to their senses. And now that I was just getting to the point of thinking I would have to go hunt down all the older 3-episode DVDs, they finally wised up! I feel bad for those who already bought the older DVDs, but I'm very glad they are finally being released in this format. It's better for collectors, and more friendly to those who might not have wanted to pay so much for the single discs (like me). The 2003 cartoon has had great art/animation, and a more serious, exciting tone that has made it alot of fun to watch. If you were a fan of the old show but have never seen this, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Since no one else has posted it, here's a list of the episodes that should be on this disc (from an online episode guide-may vary a little): 1- 1 Things Change 1- 2 A Better Mousetrap (1) 1- 3 Attack of the Mousers (2) 1- 4 Meet Casey Jones 1- 5 Nano 1- 6 Darkness on the Edge of Town 1- 7 The Way of Invisibility 1- 8 Fallen Angel 1- 9 Garbageman 1-10 The Shredder Strikes (1) 1-11 The Shredder Strikes (2) 1-12 The Unconvincing Turtle Titan Overall this should be a great set of solid episodes. I'm definitely pre-ordering this one.

This is amazing, how far things have come. The very first dvd of this show only included 3 episodes. Now six fit on one disc! This show won me back to comics in general and TMNT in particular. From the first episode I saw (which is NOT on this disc, btw) I was hooked, and as soon as I could watch all of the past episodes I did-- and was more and more amazed! It has the feel of the comics (even adapting some of the old comics stories as well), plus a feel that is more "grown up" than the fun-loving toon of the 80s/90s. All of the voice actors are fantastic, especially- forgive my spelling-- Michael Sinternnclaus as Leo, Sam Regal as Don, John Campbell as Raph, Wayne Grayson as Mikey, and Darren Dunstan as Splinter-- and they play off of each other smoothly. The family bond is really apparent in all of the episodes, and as I look at my other DVDs from the following seasons, I can see growth and development in the characters. The action sequences in some of the episodes is awesome! The fight with Shredder in "The Shredder Strikes" parts one and two are wicked (and only surpassed in "The Shredder Strikes Back" parts one and two, not on this disc), the humor is not over the top, and you get the feel that these could be real characters-- indeed, a real family. Like Nano in the one episode, and Leatherhead in later ones, that is the most important thing: Family. And I'm glad that this family has come into my life.

I personally have gone out of the way to own every DVD release of this series that I can get my hands on. It's a great show with a lot of character growth, strong plot, fun comedy and action packed fight scenes. I only wish that they had an entire series box set of the show including Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers. The DVD set is a great way to be able to share this series with fellow TMNT fans or friends that you want to share the series with. This is the closes we've had to a TV series of the original TMNT comics. Highly recommended.

This is a great series. I remember watching it on CW4Kids when I was young. When I was in middle school you could watch the whole series on YouTube as well (which, as I found today, is no longer the case, lol). I honestly don’t mind paying for it now that I can, it’s such a wonderful show with well written stories and great animation. Watching it now as an adult I enjoy it just as much! If you were a fan then or not, this is a great purchase. I hope they have the rest of the series so I can rewatch the whole thing :)

This series was the logical evolution of the turtles for the 2000’s. It was darker, edgy, funny but with such better storytelling and deeper story lines. It succeeded on every level and in every way. Great animation that didn’t look sloppy after the first season but instead remained strong, clean and sharp and the stories…..they are just so well told and by that I mean that they are engaging and interesting and will, most likely, keep you coming back to see how each story line ends with no cheesey or goofy antics to make one feel silly for watching it through. No batman Donatello or Captain Leonardo kirk here. Great story arcs and good character development all along the way. This is a more grown up version to the 80’s turtles and I have been hoping they would release it for digital purchase and they finally have. This was a series cut short and should have run a few seasons longer imo. Worth a watch if you’re a fan or not.

I at one time collected the volumes, but when the episodes became out of order, I stopped. This is for anyone who doesn't want 6-8 volumes per season. This is something Funimation and 4kids should have been doing Since day one. This is an obvious beginning showing they are releasing all 4 seasons in 2 volumes sets with 2 discs in each volume. By the time they get to Season 4, it is my hope they will have Season 5 (dubbed "The Lost Season" in many respects) Ready to release as a final addition to this collection. This series outstands the original 1989 series for various reasons. delving back into the original black and white mirage comics for reference, This series expands in plot, character development and consistency where the 10-year running series merely entertained the idea the turtles were Ninja and barely gave it true form or reference. While I collect and admire the old series for its longevity and childhood memories, TMNT2003 is one series I watch over and over again. If you have been Reluctant to collect this series thus far because of the amount of volumes and the price each volume costs, I recommend to buy this and start the Turtles story all over again.

After the first show that made the Ninja Turtles what they are today, they now get a new show of the new century, but this time it's different from that of the old show. This time around the show is more story oriented and the action is probably better than that of the original show that started in the late `80s. While this show borrowed elements of the first movie while at the same time stayed true to the comics, though there's one thing that didn't change and that's the Shredder is still a part of the Turtle universe. While this set only contains like the first half of the first season, but it's better than trying to do what was done with the other show releasing in volumes for the first three seasons then not releasing Season sets. This set helps brings the turtles to how they could've been originally, but at the same time helps brings fans in a younger generation. I give this set a 4 stars out of 5.

The series is great! But the quality of these videos is mediocre. I know it's old, but they look like they were recorded on an old VHS tape. Also, Amazon only has 3 seasons available to buy, but this show ran for 7 seasons. I'm giving it 4 stars because the series' writing was really good.
