Its pretty fun, but you aren't really making songs as much as simple basslines. The microdrum in this is very basic. If you want to make music with just one Pocket Operator, maybe get arcade, tonic, ko... The cable that came with this is pretty useless but the batteries are okay. Overall, I didn't think the build quality of a Pocket Operator would be this good. Its not as bad as I thought it'd be. Still cool.

The shipping envelope was secure, but the item packaging itself was open on arrival. Could have been marked fragile as sitting outside in the rain isn’t good for an open circuit board :) The item itself works fine, though the screen is fastened a little crooked. Satisfied.

Loaded with monophonic bass sounds, the teenage engineering PO-14 sub is a powerful deep bassline synthesizer. It's also a 16-step sequencer packed into a small, ultra-portable design. You can carry and use it virtually anywhere. Just plug in your favorite headphones and create trippy beats while traveling in the subway. With an array of studio-quality synth sounds, the PO-14 is perfect for making electronic rhythms on the go.
PO-14 sub uses multiple real synthesizer engines to produce 15 assorted bass synthesis sounds, including phase distortion and wavetable. This pocket operator gives crunchy and whoomph sounds like no other. Button 16 has a micro drum machine kit that adds another layer to the sounds.
You can use the built-in speaker for instant sound. The 3.5mm output jack works with headphones and external speaker systems. With three different ways to listen, you can choose the ideal experience to explore your creativity.
This pocket operator is a miniature programmable bassline synthesizer with a 16-step sequencer. It is equipped with 16 patterns and offers a maximum of 16-pattern chaining. A pattern consists of 16 steps. As your sequence plays out, the animations on screen move and groove to the beat.
The onboard clock is one of the pocket operator's quirky features. Use the alarm clock to rouse you from long jamming sessions. To set the alarm clock, press the sound + pattern buttons and turn the A knob for hours and the B knob for minutes. Then press any 1-16 keys to confirm. Turning the A knob all the way down disables the alarm.
