Amanda Gorman , the poet who stole the show at President Biden 's inauguration, says she went from hero to suspect, adding it's a reality of what Black girls are forced to endure.
Amanda was walking home Friday -- apparently in L.A. -- when a security guard seemingly felt she was a threat and followed her. When she got to her home, she says he demanded to know if she lived there because "you look suspicious."
Amanda says she showed the guard her keys and went inside, but that's not the end of the story. After the guard realized she lived there, there was no apology ... nothing.
Amanda says, "This is the reality of black girls: One day you're called an icon, the next day a threat."
To that Amanda agreed ... "In a sense, he was right. I AM A THREAT: a threat to injustice, to inequality, to ignorance. Anyone who speaks the truth and walks with hope is an obvious and fatal danger to the powers that be."
Amanda's inaugural poem , "The Hill We Climb" was historic ... delivered by the youngest poet ever at a Presidential swearing-in. Apparently, there are more hills to climb.
The judge in the "QAnon Shaman" case is scratching his head over decisions made by the infamous defendant ... in particular, his decision to do a LONG interview with "60 Minutes+."
The accused insurrectionist, whose real name is Jacob Chansley, was called on the carpet by the judge for doing the jailhouse interview, which appeared on "60 Minutes Plus."
Chansley's lawyer told the judge yes, they did arrange for the interview, but felt everything was kosher.  Apparently the judge didn't see it that way.
Chansley, who says he's been in solitary since being arrested, said he was never violent inside the Capitol.  He says his participation was "not an attack on this country" ... an interesting argument, given the images of him in the Senate Chamber.
He also says he's still loyal to Trump, despite being overlooked for a pardon. He makes it clear ... he did what he did at the former President's behest.
Chansley's been behind bars since January 9th.  He asked to be released from jail pending trial, but prosecutors objected, calling him a danger to the community.
It's war between Harry and Meghan and Buckingham Palace, and Texas and Mississippi say 'see ya later!' to COVID restrictions. So, we gotta ask ...
"Entourage" star Kevin Connolly put the E in "eruption" after his car got towed at a flower shop ... and the store's banning him after the blow-up.
The manager of Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design in L.A. tells TMZ ... there’s a podcast studio next to the shop, and they claim Kevin's frequently parked his Tesla in their parking lot ... presumably while recording podcasts.
On Tuesday, the manager says the shop had enough -- after having left multiple notes on Kevin's car about jacking their parking -- so after it had been there more than an hour ... they called a tow truck.
Kev's car alarm was sounding as the tow truck left with his baby.
Shortly afterward, Kevin entered the flower shop -- captured on security camera -- and appeared to grow increasingly irritated while speaking to the staff.
We're told he asked where his car was and was told to call the towing company ... and that's when you see him getting really upset. Kevin appears to yell at someone as he's walking out, then delivers a couple of swift kicks to items near the exit.
The shop manager says the business is closing soon, but regardless ... Kevin is not allowed to come back to the store while it remains open.
We're told no one called cops -- no blood, no foul. As for Kevin's Tesla? We reached out to his rep, but no word back so far. It's a pain in the ass, for sure, but we'll bet he's got it back by now.
The Kardashians are all about expanding their business empire ... and now it looks like they want to tap into the greeting cards biz.
Kim , Kourtney , Khloe and Kris filed trademark docs to lock up the rights to a name for their potential new revenue stream ... "Kardashian Kards." Ah, it just rolls off the tongue.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, the Kardashians are looking to use their famous family name to sell greeting cards, calendars, decals, photo albums and postcards.
The docs make it look like they also might slap "Kardashian Kards" on scrapbooks, stationery, paper, notebooks, stickers, erasers, bookmarks and gift wrap.
Look out Hallmark, the Kardashians might be coming for you!!!
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a trailblazer -- so says the Hollywood Critics Association that labeled him as such -- but D.J. says the real trailblazer was his pops.
Johnson accepted the HCA's Trailblazer Award Friday night via Zoom, of course, and he got pretty emotional.
Dwayne says he felt super lucky to be in a position of privilege where he could make people feel good. He's done that in a big way, working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a long, long time. He was also honored for the donations he's made to frontline workers and first responders.
The former wrestling champ dedicated the award to his dad, WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, who passed away a year ago at age 75.  Dwayne called his dad a real trailblazer, and then went on to describe their relationship as "complicated" -- "Father and son, tough love, tough love." Dwayne says his dad did all he could do to make people go home feeling happy.
UFC light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz says he's got a secret weapon for beating Israel Adesanya on Saturday night -- his newborn son!
The Polish powerhouse's fiancee gave birth to their first child, JJ, back in December -- and Jan says it's changed his whole outlook on life and fighting.
"Mentally, I'm stronger," 38-year-old Jan told TMZ Sports ... "Bigger motivation for everything right now. To hit harder, work harder."
As for his fight with Adesanya -- the undefeated middleweight champ -- Blachowicz knows it'll be the biggest challenge of his career but he's confident he'll end it in less than 2 rounds.
"I believe that I'm going to be the first one who beat him after this Saturday," Jan says.
"He gonna be 20 and 1, this what I believe and that's it. I know that he's really great fighter, amazing fighter, one of the best in the world but anyway I got my time right now, it's my division and I will stop him."
There's talk of a possible matchup with Jon Jones down the line -- but Jan says he's focused on Israel ... and will deal with Jones when the time comes.
"I don't know what Jon Jones right now what he do. He not my problem. If he not coming back to 205, I'll go to heavyweight and catch him there. No problem! He's not my problem now, my problem is Israel. I focus all about him. Nothing more in my head. Just Israel."
Jackboy 's driver literally couldn't stay in his lane, according to cops, and that's what ended up leading to the rapper's Georgia arrest on a gun charge.
Monroe County cops say they pulled over the blue Lamborghini SUV Jackboy was traveling in last month when an officer noticed the driver failed to maintain his lane.
According to the report ... the cop smelled marijuana in the vehicle during the traffic stop, so he called for backup to conduct a search.
Cops say during the search, 2 unregistered firearms were discovered in the passenger side glove box where Jackboy was sitting -- a 9mm and a Glock.
According to the report ... Jackboy said he didn't know the guns were in the vehicle, and the back seat passenger claimed they were his. Problem is, according to the report, police ran Jackboy's record and discovered he was a convicted felon -- so it's illegal for him to be within arms reach of a firearm.
The "Pressure" rapper was arrested and booked for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He bonded out later the same day for $2,500, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
On the bright side, police say they let Jackboy and his crew off with a verbal warning for a small amount of weed they found -- and he seemingly didn't have to eat any of it this time.

7:15 PM PT -- We just got the first pics from Nicolas and Riko's wedding which was held at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
Nic's rep Shannon Barr tells TMZ ... the date, February 16, was special for the groom ... it's Nic's late father's birthday. Riko -- who Nic met over a year ago in Japan -- was wearing a handmade Japanese bridal kimono, and Nic was rocking a tux by Tom Ford.
We're told the ceremony included traditional Catholic and Shinto vows, but in true Nic fashion they also kept things unique ... adding some poetry from Walt Whitman and Haiku.
Seemingly acknowledging, his 5th time down the aisle might shock some folks, Nick says, "It's true, and we are very happy."
BTW, his ex-wife Alice Kim and their son, Kal, celebrated with the happy couple after the ceremony.
Nicolas Cage is going back to the wedding well ... he got married for a whopping 5th time, and once again he tied the knot in Sin City.
The 56-year-old actor married 26-year-old Riko Shibata last month in Nevada, according to the Clark County Clerk's Office. The records show Riko took Nic's last name, and on Feb. 16 they said "I Do."
Nic, who lives in Las Vegas, announced his engagement to Riko back in August after proposing over FaceTime. Riko was in Japan when he popped the question, so Nicolas sent the engagement ring via FedEx.
It's the 5th marriage for Nicolas ... and the union comes less than 2 years after his last marriage to Erika Koike ended in divorce after only 4 days. DailyMail was first to report the news of his new bride.
He's also previously been married to Alice Kim , Lisa Marie Presley and Patricia Arquette .
Cleveland Browns star lineman Wyatt Teller hunted, shot and killed a 10-foot gator in Florida this week .... and then picked up the beast with his bare hands!!
Here's how it went down -- Teller linked up with his buddy and Miami Dolphins defensive end Zach Sieler ... who happens to own a hunting outfitter, Clay Gully Outfitters, in central Florida.
The 2 NFL players -- who have been planning the trip for a while -- hunted hogs and gators on Sieler's enormous plot of land.
Sieler and his GF Hannah Cook tell TMZ Sports the 26-year-old All-Pro killed the gator -- which Zach estimates were 9.5 feet and 200 pounds -- and then threw it over his shoulder and carried it away.
FYI -- folks down south love to eat fried gator ... but no word on what will happen with this particular beast -- it could be eaten, or used to make a cool rug or even gator boots!!
Either way, it's gonna get used up.
That's one way to stay ready for football season!!
The first man to respond to the Tiger Woods crash scene was a local man who told law enforcement the golfer was unconscious in the driver's seat ... this according to new court documents obtained by TMZ Sports.
L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Johann Schloegl submitted an affidavit which described an interview with a man who lives in the area where Tiger crashed his SUV on Feb. 23.
The man told law enforcement ... he heard the crash near the Rolling Hills Estates and decided to walk to the accident scene to check it out, where he saw Woods.
According to the affidavit, the witness tried talking with Tiger but the golfer was unresponsive.
L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Carlos Gonzalez arrived at the scene shortly after -- and has publicly stated Woods was conscious and talking when he got there.
Deputy Gonzalez has also said Tiger did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance.
As we previously reported, officials are now pulling data from the "black box" in Tiger's 2021 GV80 vehicle which could reveal details about Tiger's speed and driving pattern in the moments before the crash.
In the affidavit, Deputy Schloegl spells out, "I believe the data will explain how/why the collision occurred."
L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has been adamant Tiger will not be charged with a crime ... describing the situation as a pure accident, nothing more.
PETA demonstrators are putting the heat on a North Carolina police department where a cop hanged and choked a K-9 by its leash, and they're demanding justice for the dog.
The demonstration went down Friday outside Salisbury PD HQ -- masked up PETA protesters held signs condemning cops not only for the horrific treatment of the K-9, named Zuul, but also for an apparent attempt to cover up the alleged abuse.
As we reported ... disturbing footage surfaced this week showing an unnamed cop manhandling the hell out of Zuul, who he was supposed to be training.
Video shows the cop screaming at the K-9 before putting a leash on him, hanging him by it, slamming him into the side of an SUV, throwing Zuul into the back seat and hitting him. You can also hear an officer say, "We're good. No witnesses" ... as Zuul was getting choked.
Friday's protest comes on the heels of PETA firing off a letter to Salisbury Police Chief Jerry Stokes , urging the officer to be criminally prosecuted for animal abuse.
Salisbury Mayor Karen Alexander told us there's a probe into the incident and police say Zuul is healthy, unharmed and in the hands of a different police sergeant ... but PETA says that's not enough.
Timothy V. Murphy is ready to throw back some Irish whiskey and beer for St. Patrick's Day ... and he'll be doing it at a pub, even though the CDC wants the holiday to go virtual.
We got the "Sons of Anarchy" star at LAX Friday afternoon and our photog asked the famous Irishman about his St. Paddy's Day plans.
Timothy says he's looking forward to drinking at some popular Irish pubs in L.A. and he's not about to cancel the holiday for the second year in a row, despite the CDC urging folks to stay home and celebrate.
The way Timothy sees it ... St. Patrick's Day just doesn't work in a virtual setting, so he's keeping it live and in person. L.A. has outdoor dining (and drinking) again, so he'll have options.
Our guy also asked Timothy about Conor McGregor catching heat for buying a bottle of Proper 12 inside a liquor store without wearing a mask. Sounds like Timothy's glad he's not back in Ireland, or New York City, for that matter.
March 17 is gonna get interesting, especially in places like Texas where all restrictions will be lifted.
Sampson the service dog is a very good -- and smart -- boy who deserves lots of treats for learning an important new trick -- how to wear PPE so he can help his disabled neuroscientist mom.
The scientist, Joey Ramp , conducts her lab work at the University of Illinois, but says she wouldn't be able to do her job without the aid of her assistant ... the first pup ever granted access to the college's chemistry lab.
For safety reasons, Sampson, a golden retriever, is required to wear protective gear just like the humans do, and as you can see ... he's mastered it.
Joey suffered a traumatic brain injury in a 2006 horse-riding accident and now studies the human brain, and she says her good boy's crucial to her research. She explains that he's not only there for her if she drops something and needs support kneeling down to pick it up ... but he's also trained to spot signs of her PTSD.
Joey says, "I couldn't possibly navigate academics or a neuroscience program without his assistance," and she's advocating for more service dogs to be allowed in labs for students with disabilities ... with guidelines like making the pups wear PPE.
Clearly, Sampson's setting the best possible example possible.
A couple claiming a Maggiano's seated all its customers of color in the back ... is getting an apology, but the restaurant chain also insists it wasn't segregating patrons.
Here's the backstory -- a Black woman named Dot claimed on Instagram she and her husband had reservations last weekend at the Maggiano's in Orlando, and when they showed up ... they were ushered all the way to the back of the joint.
That's when she says she noticed a "stark contrast from the patrons in the front of the restaurant, versus where we were being seated." Dot added ... "Guys….I s**t you not…this restaurant was segregated!!!!!!!!! In 2021!!!!!! Our minds were BLOWN!!!!!!"
Dot claims this pattern of seating people continued throughout their visit, and she posted a couple photos with her hubby to make her point. She also speculated that a nearby Trump rally that day may have factored into the restaurant's motivations.
While Maggiano's insists the seating situation had nothing to do with race, the restaurant chain still apologized, saying ... "We understand that two valued Guests felt unwelcome when they dined at our Maggiano’s restaurant in Orlando on Sunday, February 28, and for that we sincerely apologize."
As for an explanation, Maggiano's says it investigated the incident, and says the reason for the perceived segregation is because "a single large party of 30 African-American guests" requested to be seated together.
The restaurant says when Dot and her husband arrived, "our system suggested a table that was still occupied by Guests, which prompted the reassignment of their new table" ... which happened to be in the back.
However, Maggiano's acknowledges the table reassignment didn't make the couple feel welcome. It adds that it's going to work to ensure future seating arrangements "are not just computer generated but have a human touch."
Dot later revealed Maggiano's sent her a $200 gift card and the chain's President Steve Provost reached out to her.
Provost tells TMZ ... they've also offered Dot a celebration for her husband's B-day in one of its banquets with their friends, and asked for "a do-over."

A lot of changes happen as you grow up, especially as you reach puberty
(say: PYOO-bur-tee), the name for the time when your body begins to develop and change.
Girls start developing breasts and get their
periods — signs they are growing into
women.
But how do boys know they are growing into men? Let's find out.
For a guy, there isn't just one event or sign that you're growing up. There are
lots of them, including your body growing bigger, your voice changing, and hair sprouting
everywhere. Most boys begin puberty between the ages of 9 and 14. But keep in mind
that puberty starts when a boy's body is ready, and everyone grows at his own pace.
Here are some of the questions boys have.
You might have noticed that some of the girls you know are taller than the boys.
But you've probably noticed that out of the adults you know, most of the men are taller
than the women. What's going on?
Well, girls get a head start on puberty — and growing taller — because
they usually start these changes between the ages of 8 and 13. Most boys, on the other
hand, don't begin until between the ages of 9 and 14. So that's why girls are often
taller than boys during that time.
Most boys may catch up — and even grow taller than girls. But it's also important
to remember that your genetics play a role in height .
So if your mom and dad are tall, you're more likely to be tall. And if your mom and
dad are kind of short, you may be short, too. But nothing is definite.
You have to wait and see how it turns out, but you can also talk to a doctor if
you're concerned. Remember — not every adult male is tall. Many men who are
considered "short" have gone on to have careers in the movies, the military, and even
professional basketball!
There aren't any exercises or magic pills to make you grow tall. But by being
active and eating nutritious foods ,
you're helping your body grow up healthy, just the way it should.
During puberty, some boys might become worried about their bodies after seeing
what some of their friends look like. For instance, lots of boys are concerned about
their muscles . You may have already noticed some
boys starting to get chest muscles (called the pectoralis muscles
or pecs for short). Others may have broad shoulders (the deltoids ,
or delts for short). Other boys might still be slimmer and smaller.
Remember that puberty happens on its own schedule, so there's no rushing it if
you're a little slower to develop muscles. Maybe you've considered lifting weights
to help yourself get bigger. It's important to know that if you haven't quite reached
puberty, this will tone your muscles, but it won't build up any
muscles yet.
Eating nutritious food and being active (like riding your bike, swimming, and playing
sports) will help you be a kid who's strong and fit. In time, you'll reach puberty
and you can start building your muscles, too.
If you decide to try lifting weights, first let your doctor know you are interested.
He or she may tell you to hold off on weightlifting for a bit or give you some advice
on how to start. If your doctor discourages weightlifting, try some other ways to
work out. Resistance bands, which are like big rubber bands, are a great way to help
build your strength without putting too much strain on your muscles.
If your doctor recommends weightlifting, here are some tips:
There is this girl who lives in your neighborhood and you see her playing with
her friends every afternoon when school is done. You get really hot and your palms
sweat when she says "hi" to you. That night you go to bed and before you sleep, you
have one last thought about her. Every day for the next few weeks you keep thinking
about her. You might be wondering, "Why do I feel this way?" You just may have a crush .
Or perhaps your friend keeps talking about this one girl he thinks is so pretty.
He goes on and on about how she tells funny jokes. He also tells you that he likes
her. You think, "Why don't I feel or talk this way about a girl — am I supposed
to?"
Every boy has his own likes and dislikes. And during puberty, some boys are very
friendly with girls and others might be nervous about talking to girls. Thinking about
someone you like is a normal process of puberty. And if you feel like you don't like
any girls, that's fine, too. Eventually, you may find someone who makes you feel giddy
inside. Only time will tell.
So why do you feel this way? The hormones in your body are becoming more active.
As a result, you're starting to have more feelings. These feelings can confuse you
and may leave you scared. This is natural because you are going through a new phase
in your life.
Talking with a friend or an older person like your brother or sister might help
you be less confused. Older people sometimes have more experience than you, so they
can be good people to go to for advice.
Body hair really gets going during puberty. Some boys will start to notice hair
growing on their face around the chin, on the cheeks, and above the lip. Also, hair
grows on the chest, the armpits, and even down there in the pubic region. Remember
that there's nothing to worry about because hair is just one of the body's many ways
of telling you that you are on your way to manhood.
You're growing hair in new places because hormones are telling your body that it
is ready to change. Some of the hormones that trigger this new hair growth come from
your adrenal glands. Other hormones come from your pituitary (say:
puh-TOO-uh-ter-ee) gland (a pea-shaped gland located at the bottom
of your brain). These pituitary hormones travel through your bloodstream and make
your testicles ("balls") grow bigger and start to release another hormone called testosterone
that also helps make your body start sprouting hair in your pubic area, under your
arms, and on your face.
Boys don't really need to do anything about this new hair that's growing.
Later, when you're a teen, and the hair gets thick enough on your face, you may want
to talk with your parents about shaving.
You probably know what sweat is, but did you
know that it's also called perspiration (say: pur-spuh-RAY-shun)?
How does it happen? Perspiration comes out of your skin through tiny holes called
pores when your body gets hot.
Your body likes a temperature that is 98.6°F (37°C). If you get hotter
than that, your body doesn't like it, so then your body sweats. The sweat comes out
of the skin, then evaporates (this means it turns from a liquid to a vapor) into the
air, which cools you down. Sometimes this sweat or wetness can be smelly and create
body odor (sometimes called BO). During puberty, your hormones are working all the
time, which explains why you sweat a lot and, well, sometimes smell.
What makes it smelly? The sweat is made almost completely of water, with tiny amounts
of other chemicals like ammonia (say: uh-MOE-nyuh), urea
(say: yoo-REE-uh), salts, and sugar. (Ammonia and urea are left over when your body
breaks down protein.) Sweat by itself is not really smelly, but when it comes in contact
with the bacteria on your skin (which everyone has) it becomes smelly.
But how can you keep yourself from being all sweaty and smelly? First, you can
shower or bathe regularly, especially after playing sports or sweating a lot, like
on a hot day. You can also use deodorant under your arms.
Deodorant comes in many good-smelling scents or you can use one that's unscented.
Some deodorants come in a white stick that you can twist up. Lots of people put this
on after showering or bathing before they put their clothes on. Otherwise, the white
stick deodorants can leave white marks on your clothes. You can also choose a deodorant
that's clear instead of white.
You can decide to wear a deodorant (which helps stops the smell) or a deodorant/antiperspirant
(which helps stops the smell and the sweat). If you find these products aren't working
for you, talk with your doctor.
An erection is what happens when your penis fills up with blood and hardens. The
penis will become bigger and stand out from the body. Boys will start to notice erections
occurring more often when they reach puberty. And they're perfectly normal.
An erection can happen at any time. You can get many in one day or none at all.
It depends on your age, sexual maturity, level of activity, and even the amount of
sleep you get.
An erection can happen even when you're sleeping. Sometimes you might wake up and
your underwear or bed is wet. You may worry that this means you wet your bed like
when you were little, but chances are you had a nocturnal emission, or "wet dream."
A wet dream is when semen (the fluid containing sperm) is discharged from the penis
while a boy is asleep. Semen is released through the urethra — the same tube
that urine (pee) comes out of. This is called ejaculation.
Wet dreams occur when a boy's body starts making more testosterone. This change
for boys is little bit like when a girl gets her period. It's a sign a boy is growing
up and the body is preparing for the day in the future when a man might decide to
be a father. Semen contains sperm, which can fertilize a woman's egg and begin the
process that ends with a baby being born.
Although some boys might feel embarrassed or even guilty about having wet dreams,
a boy can't help it. Almost all boys normally experience them at some time during
puberty and even as adults.
But if you ever have pain or a problem with
your penis or testicles, it is important that someone take you to the doctor. You
may think "Man, I don't want to go to the doctor for that!" But it's best to get problems
like this checked out — and your doctor won't be embarrassed at all. It's a
doctor's job to help you take care of your body — even that
part.
