How old is teenage? Or rather, are they still the sort of children that like playing in parks or are they way too sophisticated for that? I am guessing that they are too old for Longleat/Bowood House etc.
Also will they be fed up with sightseeing by the time you arrive?

Prior Park Landscape Garden - The Big Tree Climb (tree climb and zip wire) 22-27 August is taking place in this landscape garden - lovely views of Bath.
Boating - how about trying your hand at punting from Bathwick Boating station (or hire a Victorian skiff if you are scared of falling in). Alternatively there are some little motor boats for hire between North Parade bridge and Pulteney Weir.
Cycle hire - head out in the car to Brassknocker basin to hire bikes or boats
Do try to watch a bit of cricket. There seems to be a summer school taking place most days at the Bath cricket ground on North Parade so I sure you could pop down and ask somebody to explain the game.
If they are Harry Potter fans, then do consider a trip to the village of Lacock and its Abbey where a couple of the movies were filmed.
In the evening, provided that they have a sense of humour, then I think they would probably really enjoy the Bizarre Bath walking tour.

I've also read about some caves at Cheddar?
A visit to the Roman Baths will easily take up an afternoon and is fun and informative for teenagers too. Bath is actually a great place for teenagers to just mooch around. The centre is very compact, lthere are loads of shops, cafes, parks and museums, so you could easily turn them loose for a few hours and let them explore!

Take them to a football game at Twerton Park to see Bath City FC.

Those caves near Cheddar you asked about - that's Wookey Hole Caves
It's about 45 mins in the car from Bath and is down the road from Cheddar Gorge which is also worth visiting, although it can get very busy during the summer.
Matt is slightly misleading as there are two different tourist attractions
There are the ones at Cheddar Gorge
The Wookey Hole caves are a few miles away
It is probably worth Googling to see if you can get some discount vouchers because it can get quite pricey.
