Are you in need of some outfit inspiration ?
Everyone gets into a rut sometimes, when it feels like you have absolutely nothing to wear. That’s why I’ve come up with 18 outfit ideas that you can wear in school, in the spring, in the summer, and in the early fall . Basically, every occasion for the upcoming months!
From casual to cute and everything in between, you can shop these looks or try to recreate them with items from your own closet. Everything featured is affordable and totally on-trend .
So without further ado, read on for 18 outfit ideas for school, spring, summer, and early fall .
We all know the struggle of waking up before school and having no idea what to wear – cue the early-morning fashion meltdown!
Instead of throwing on mismatched sweats or leggings, though, try some of these casual outfit ideas instead, which you can quickly pull together. They are school-friendly and you’ll be able to wear them in multiple seasons throughout the year.
If you’re really in a pinch and need a comfy outfit to quickly throw together, go for an athleisure look .
Flared stretch pants are totally back in style, and they feel like a fresh take on classic leggings. Wear a pair of these with some sneakers and a white long sleeve buttoned top , plus a baseball hat (which is ideal when you don’t have time to style your hair or are having a bad hair day). Bonus points if you add some layered necklaces and rings!
This look is simple yet still makes a stylish statement thanks to its street-style vibe.
For a fashionable take on the academia aesthetic , wear a sweater vest with a mini skirt and some loafers . You’ll almost feel like you’re wearing a school uniform, but way more stylish!
Of course, pick a skirt with a length you’ll be comfortable in at school, and don’t forget to keep your school’s dress code in mind.
You’ll also be able to wear this look with sneakers for a more casual vibe, and can swap out the skirt for some jeans.
These black skinny jeans practically feel like leggings thanks to their soft, stretchy material, but look a bit more polished for class. You’ll be able to style them a ton of different ways, from dressy to casual.
For a laid-back school outfit , wear them with a tank top and an oversized plaid flannel top, along with some white sneakers and our favorite no-show socks . You’ll be comfy while looking cute.
Cargo pants are a major trend right now , and luckily, their loose fit makes them ultra-comfortable to wear, especially when you’re sitting in class. They look great with t-shirts, tanks, and long sleeve tops.
Give your outfit a pop of color with a bright cardigan – this one is hooded and cropped – and add some layered necklaces. Complete the ensemble with your go-to sneakers.
Jeans and a hoodie, but make it fashion. Give your denim an easy upgrade by opting for a fun, patterned pair of pants. These checkered print jeans are right on trend and will stand out from the crowd.
Keep them casual for school by pairing them with a neutral-colored hoodie and sneakers.
It’s finally spring, and if you’re anything like me, you’re so ready to ditch the winter coats in favor of the hottest spring fashion trends . If you need outfit inspiration for the spring season, check out these cute outfits for teens to wear in spring.
If you’re ready to break out your rompers but it’s not quite hot enough, just throw a denim jacket over top and opt for sneakers instead of sandals. This springtime-ready look features a floral print romper , oversized jean jacket, and casual low-top sneakers like Vans.
This outfit is so versatile, you’ll be able to wear it to anything from brunch to a casual hangout with friends.
Pastel colors and springtime go hand-in-hand . This pastel color-block cardigan has such a spring-y vibe that looks adorable with a denim mini skirt and a necklace.
You can keep this outfit casual with low-top sneakers, or try a pair of trendy loafers.
Jeans are still a staple in the springtime, but now you can start wearing them with cute (and cropped) tops. A brightly colored crop top like this tube top with a retro-inspired print will look amazing with light wash denim that has a loose fit.
Amp up this look’s trend appeal by adding some fun hair clips and a faux fur printed bag, plus sneakers or sandals.
If there were ever a season to wear floral prints, it’s the springtime! This adorable tiered floral print mini skirt is so spring, and can be dressed up or down.
For a casual spring look , wear the skirt with a fitted tank or cami top and some sneakers like Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. Throw on a cropped jean jacket over top for a lightweight layer.
As spring starts turning into summer, you’ll want to start rocking denim shorts . But since it’s not quite hot outside yet, try wearing a cute cardigan over your tank top or t-shirt, along with high-top sneakers and a baseball hat.
This casual spring look is super functional while still being cute. From school to sporting events, this look will always be a go-to.
Summer is just around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait! There’s so much to look forward to, from days at the beach or pool, to backyard BBQs.
These cute summer outfits for teens are going to be perfect for the summertime and all the fun, carefree days ahead.
You can’t go wrong with denim shorts in the summertime. They’re a must! For a cute, casual summer look, pair your jean shorts with an oversized button-up shirt in a light, airy fabric worn over a tank or crop top. This shirt doubles as a beach cover-up, too!
Complete the outfit with flat sandals and your favorite jewelry pieces.
Feel the summertime vibes in an adorable gingham mini dress . The orange color of the gingham print and the floral embellishments along the trim make this a perfect piece for the summer, along with its mini length and cami straps. You’ll definitely be able to beat the heat in a mini dress like this!
Style your frock with either sandals or casual sneakers like a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars. A straw basket bag or woven crossbody bag would look especially cute with this dress.
Jean shorts are going to be your BFF in the summertime . For a trendy look, style them with a graphic print t-shirt and a fun trucker hat, which have made a major comeback recently.
Complete the ensemble with some cool sneakers, a shoulder bag, and retro-inspired aviator sunglasses.
White jeans are a summertime staple , especially for summer nights out. Embrace this year’s crochet fashion trend with a crochet crop top featuring bright colors, like this color-blocked option . It includes white along with its more vibrant hues to match the white denim perfectly.
Sneakers always work, but for a summertime-ready look, opt for a pair of sandals.
Why not try a boho look in the summer ? Play on the crochet trend by wearing a crochet crop top with high-rise jean shorts and flat, lace-up sandals for a total boho vibe.
Don’t forget to accessorize with some round sunnies and a straw bag for this summery look.
Nothing is worse than dressing for chilly mornings, but sweating by the time your lunch break rolls around! That’s often how it goes in the early fall, when the daytime temperatures are still warm.
If you’re looking for outfits to wear during the transition from summer to fall , try the following looks.
This cropped fleece shacket is the perfect lightweight jacket to layer over your early fall outfits . It looks super cute worn over black biker shorts and a simple t-shirt – just add some sneakers like a pair of Nike Air Force 1’s.
When it gets warmer later in the day, you can leave this shacket in your locker!
Not only are coordinating cardigan sets stylish, but they’re an ideal way to layer on warm fall days.
This knit set features a tank top and matching hooded cardigan with a zipper front for easy on-and-off – wear the full set in the morning, and when you get hot later in the afternoon, ditch the cardigan.
A set like this looks great with jeans, and sneakers or booties.
Corduroy jackets are totally underrated, especially for the spring and fall seasons. With just the right amount of weight, they’re lightweight while still able to ward off any chill in the air.
Opt for one with an oversized fit that you can wear with mom jeans and a t-shirt for a laid-back look. Add a bit of edge with combat boots and a cool pair of sunglasses.
Would you wear these outfits? Which outfit is your favorite? Leave a comment and let us know!
Really miss the Polyvore-style outfit grid posts. I’ve been reading College Fashion since 2017, and that’s the kind of content I associate with the website. I feel like I can find photos taken from store websites on any fashion blog, but the grid posts are what made me keep coming back to College Fashion specifically.

All of these unique filler ideas are under $20!
While the big-ticket items get all of the attention, and they certainly take up their fair share of the spotlight, it's really the small things that are the most fun to shop for at Christmas. With stocking stuffers , the pressure is off: You don't have to wow, you just have to offer a little moment of delight. And hunting for those perfect little gifts under $20 or gifts under $10 — or, dare we say it, even gifts under $5 ? — is the most fun kind of scavenger hunt.
Of course, the recipient determines the level of challenge for that hunt. Pretty much any stocking stuffer for toddlers will get played with. And the fillers for guys are pretty easy once you know their hobby. The best stocking stuffers for teens , on the other hand, are harder to find. Still, there are plenty of inexpensive delights to be found, even if you're shopping for a last-minute gift . And, even though they don't cost the big bucks, you can still find cool tech gifts , practical items that'll definitely get used, fun nods to their favorite movies and TV shows and thing they'd love to play with (just don't call them toys). Whether you're looking for gifts for teen boys or teen girls , you'll be able to take care of every teenager on your list.

Soon, your teen will be out on their own. If they don't yet know how to do thinks like sew a button or fix a small appliance, at least send them out into the world with this reference book, so they can figure it out when they need to. The book includes everything from how to clean a house in 15 minutes to how to seal a drafty window to how to frost a cake — all techniques vetted by the experts at Good Housekeeping .
It's a fast-paced card game designed after their favorite snack! The strategy game asks players to "eat" Pop-Tarts flavor combinations with the highest point values, and they can shift the flavors around using different action cards. The game is designed to be played in 15 minutes, so it's good for teens with short attention spans.
You have enough to worry about with them on the road. At least you can make sure they never have to look down for directions with this durable phone holder that will stay put through all the bumps or vibrations as they drive.
Teens are obsessed with GIFs and memes, and the Oh! My GIF collectibles take their favorites off their screens and onto their desks. Each one does some kind of motion, making them great fidget toys that you can buy packs of three or as blind boxes .
