She’d been hoping to woo him with a sexy video of herself in the shower.
But Maxime’s plan to impress a potential date went horribly wrong when she forgot to turn the sound off on the clip.
“I was exchanging some very spicy messages with a man recently,” she explained on TikTok , adding that she decided to take things to the next level by sending him a video of herself in the shower.
“Unfortunately, when I shower, I listen to ABBA,” she laughed.
“Which is not necessarily a problem except for the fact that ABBA f**king slaps, which means it is not possible to listen to them without wildly singing and dancing along, which is exactly what I did.”
Maxime added that she told herself to “persevere”, thinking that she could just “crop out” her head and remove the sound.
“Except I forgot one crucial step of the process – turning off the sound,” she sighed.
So what she thought was a “very sexy video” was actually a clip of her enjoying herself to the sounds of ABBA’s “Chiquitita.”
“And I very promptly discovered it is not possible to recover from that,” she concluded.
“Yeah I’m not going to talk to him anymore,” she captioned the video.
People quickly took to the comments section to assure Maxime that it was the man missing out if he didn’t see the funny side of her mistake.
“If he didn’t die laughing and love every second of it he’s not worth it,” one wrote.
“If he didn’t enjoy it… He’s not the one…” another agreed.
While someone else hilariously added: “At least it wasn’t slipping through my fingers.”

Police are on the hunt for a peeping Tom who secretly recorded female athletes while they were showering at a South Carolina Christian college after some of the videos were recently posted online.
The women were filmed as they changed inside the men’s soccer team locker room at Limestone College sometime between September 2012 and October 2013, Gaffney police revealed Wednesday.
Appearing to have been captured by a hidden camera placed on a sink in the bathroom, the images show the entrance to the shower and the changing areas of the locker room.
Five of the videos were uploaded to a porn website two months ago and a police investigation was launched on October 10 after officials at Limestone were notified about the invasive footage by someone from another school.

Each of the five clips depicted images of five different female teams changing in the locker room, including athletes from different colleges both in and out of state.
Investigators, who didn't identify the site where the videos were posted, are still searching for the camera operator, referring to him as a ‘peeping Tom’ in police documents.
‘Our campus is in their (Gaffney Police Department) jurisdiction,’ said Charles Wyatt, Limestone College vice president for communications and marketing to GoUpstate .
‘They will continue to investigate. Our campus safety department was notified and notified the police as soon as they got the information. It’s all been turned over to them.’
In a separate statement released Wednesday, Limestone said it's assisting with the investigation and that the school’s ‘primary goal continues to be the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and guests.'
'We are fortunate that such alleged incidents are highly uncommon on our campus, and they certainly will not be tolerated,' the statement continued.
It's unclear whether law enforcement has notified the victims or even determined their identities at this stage of their investigation.
A former athlete at Limestone, Clair Culp, admits she panicked when she heard about the incident from friends, calling the idea that something like this could happen at the school ‘insane’.

Culp was a cross country runner at Limestone College in 2012 and 2013 – the same time the videos were captured.
‘Was I involved? Was one of my friends involved? I mean I was there. How does this even happen? It’s really scary knowing you could be exposed to the entire world,’ she told 7 News .
Culp added that she texted all of her friends who attended the college with her to warn them they could be a victim of the incident.
‘[I’m] 100 percent paranoid. It’s terrifying,’ Culp said. ‘I’ve got a 9-year-old step-son and this is the world he’s going to grow up in, so I not only have to be concerned about myself, but also him.’
Gaffney Police Department Detective Brian Blanto confirmed the incident is likely to impact more than just Limestone students and includes ‘out-of-state universities’.
‘There are a lot of moving parts to this with other universities,’ he said. ‘We’ll exhaust every option we’ve got until we get to the bottom of it.’
The other universities involved in the investigation have not yet been named by police.

A woman shared the realization that her neighbors and passersby could probably see her showering in a TikTok that has since racked up almost 18 million views.
Jill Santom ( @mama_jill34 ) wrote in the video that she kept feeling like people could see her showering through the bathroom window. The window, which is frosted, is in the shower, and while it’s on the side of the house, Santom added that it overlooks most of the street.
To test her theory, Santom had her husband pretend to take a shower with the bathroom lights on at night while she stood on the street.
“I felt like people could see me even though it’s frosted glass,” she wrote. “So I asked my husband to pretend he’s showering so I could see.”
Her husband’s outline is clearly visible in the bright bathroom light and, thanks to his theatrics, it was pretty obvious what room it was and what he was doing.
“His commitment to ‘fake showering’ is impressive,” she joked.
Commenters loved the video and were horrified at how clearly you could see someone showering through the window.
“They can’t SEE you, but they definitely can SEE you,” someone said .
“I will never understand why there are windows in the shower,” another added .
“This would make me extremely uncomfortable,” a commenter wrote .
The next day, Santom posted a follow-up video showing what the window looked like during the daytime. Santom employed her daughter to pretend to shower this time, and everyone was stunned at how clearly someone on the street could see into the window.
“I didn’t think it was that bad when I originally posted,” she captioned the clip.
“The window has spoken,” Santom joked in the TikTok . “Nighttime showers are better.”
Santom clarified in the comments that the family had put up a temporary solution to maintaining their privacy prior to filming the videos and that they’d been living in the house for about a year and a half. For now, they’re just having fun. Santom also clarified that her kids do not use this bathroom; her daughter was just used for the daytime experiment.
“Why am I so invested in this window?” one viewer asked .
“Oh no,” another said . “That’s WAY too clear.”
