A 15-year-old Georgia girl who sparked an Amber Alert in December when she allegedly ran away with her friend's 37-year-old father says the it was his idea to flee, and that he talked her into it after threatening to kill himself.
Calah Waskow and her mother, Nora, recently sat down with Dr Phil McGraw for an exclusive interview shedding light on her alleged affair with Jason Johnson, her disappearance and eventual rescue following a multi-state search.

Waskow went missing from her home in Evans, Georgia, on December 4, setting of an Amber Alert.
She was found a week later in a candy store in Sevierville, Tennessee, 200 miles away from home, along with her alleged kidnapper, 37-year-old Johnson, who was already wanted on unrelated child molestation charges.
Calah says she and Johnson had been secretly meeting to have sex at his home or in his car for six months when in early December her mother discovered text messages on her phone from a person named 'Jason.'
Calah initially lied to her mother that Jason was a 16-year-old boy, but the truth emerged a short time later when the girl was subpoenaed to court to explain her numerous absences from school.
What Nora Waskow did not know is that almost every morning, her 15-year-old daughter would take the bus to go to school, check in with her guidance counselor, then leave to meet Jason Johnson, who would pick her up and bring her back to his house to have sex.
When Calah and her family went before a judge, he pressed her to divulge the identity of a person named ‘Jason’ that the 15-year-old had been seeing.
‘He said, “You're either gonna tell or you're gonna go to jail,” and then Calah told him who it was,’ Nora Waskow said.
‘I just fell apart,’ she tearfully recounted. ‘I could not believe this grown man was messing with my daughter.’
After the hearing, Calah says she contacted Johnson and admitted that she had told the authorities about their relationship.
According to Calah, Johnson reacted to the news by threatening to take his own life by overdosing on drugs and telling her ‘there’s no reason to be alive anymore.

'And I was thinking if he kills himself, his kids and everybody’s going to blame me for his death,' she said. ‘He said running away must be the only other option.’
Fearing that Calah might run away, Nora Waskow had an electronic tracker placed on her daughter, but the 15-year-old was able to remove it with a knife.
Calah said Johnson told her he wanted to go to a rural area, so eventually they ended up in Tennessee.
Describing her week on the lam, the 15-year-old said it was difficult since the couple had no money, and soon she was yearning to go home to her family.
‘I had to panhandle; asking people for money for gas, and we slept in the car. And it just started getting too hard,’ she said.
When asked about her first intimate encounter with the man more than 20 years her senior, who was also the father of a friend, Calah Waskow said: ‘I was sitting on the couch and he started sitting with me and we laid down together,’ adding that both she and Johnson were naked.
At some point during that first sexual experience with Johnson, Calah said her teenage friend, Johnson's daughter, walked in on the pair sprawled in the nude on the couch.

‘He just stopped and looked at her and laughed,’ Waskow said when asked about Johnson’s reaction.
Having caught her father engaging in sexual activities with her friend, Calah said the girl just went back upstairs.
The 15-year-old said that after that initial tryst, she and Johnson would secretly meet up for sex ‘if not every day, every other day’.
Calah's parents put out a call to police when they realized their daughter wasn't in her bedroom on the morning of December 5, 2016.
She had been taken from their home, cops said at the time.
The teen was feared to be in 'extreme danger' by police, because Johnson, whom she had been seen with previously around town, was already wanted on child molestation charges.
But a Tennessee Sheriff's Department said an eagle-eyed man spotted the pair on December 10 and called police dispatch, then followed them from gas station to gas station.
Eventually, the pair went into the Russel Stover Candies in Sevierville, around 250 miles away from Calah's home, where police were able to bring them in.
Nora was put on the phone to her daughter at around 3.30pm that day, after being called by an officer from the sheriff's department.
'She said, "Momma, I just want to come home," Nora said. 'She said she saw us on the news and she said she was okay. She said she was all right.'
Calah was taken to hospital but was reportedly unharmed, and was kept at a juvenile detention facility overnight, until a judge could sign her into her parents' care.

And Waskow's older brother, Jayson Wheatley, said three or four women have contacted the family on Facebook stating Johnson had abused their children.
'Different relationships that he's had. He had molested their daughter. One lady in particular she went to the sheriff's office and made a report but unfortunately there wasn't enough evidence for them to have a case,' he told ABC7 .
'It's been three or four different ladies come forward on Facebook messaging and everything else stating he had done it to their children as well.'
Johnson was wanted for aggravated child molestation, child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

An Oklahoma woman has recalled the horrifying moment she learned her dad had bedded her best friend.
Autumn Ankerich, 21, shared the shocking story in a TikTok video that has racked up more than 1.7 million views since it was posted earlier this month.
“Thinking about the time on vacation I found a condom wrapper in my dad’s truck from the night before but he was only with me and ‘bff,'” the disturbed daughter captioned the clip.
In a subsequent interview with Jam Press, Ankerich detailed how she confronted her gal pal after finding the incriminating item inside the vehicle.
“I asked her why there was a condom wrapper on the seat and she told me she thought it was a dream,” Ankerich stated.
The frisky friend initially refused to admit she had bedded her bestie’s dad, saying they “just made out.”
However, after further interrogation, the pal eventually admitted to the steamy sex session — prompting the end of their longtime friendship.
According to Ankerich, the backstabbing bestie brazenly bragged about the X-rated romp on social media.
“She posted [about it] on Instagram a few weeks later,” she told Jam Press.
Ankerich and her former friend haven’t seen each other since.
Despite Ankerich’s initial shock, she says that, in retrospect, both her dad and her best friend were acting suspiciously on the night of their truck tryst.
“My friend was flirting with my dad and he was flirting back, so I went to the room as it made me uncomfortable,” she stated. “I used to be a ‘daddy’s girl’ but as I got older and smarter, we grew apart because I realized he wasn’t normal.”
The best friend was over the legal age of consent, and Ankerich does not accuse her father of any criminal wrongdoing.
Meanwhile, the story stunned TikTokers, many of whom responded with quippy comments beneath Ankerich’s video.
“So she was calling him daddy too?” one viewer joked.
“I mean at least he used protection,” another wisecracked.
