Tumblr diblokir Kominfo karena dinilai sebarkan pornografi.
Di tengah kunjungan Presiden Joko Widodo ke Silicon Valley di California, Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo) mengumumkan pemblokiran situs jejaring sosial dan mikroblog Tumblr yang dituding menyebarkan konten pornografi.
“Saya sudah tanda tangan suratnya dan sudah dikirim ke ISP (Internet Service Provider). Dalam satu dua hari, akan ditutup,” ungkap Azhar Hasyim, Direktur e-Business Kemenkominfo, kepada wartawan BBC Indonesia, Rafki Hidayat, Rabu (17/02).
Azhar menegaskan berdasarkan Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE), ISP wajib memblokir situs yang berkantor di New York, Amerika Serikat tersebut.
Ketika ditanya, apa ukuran Kemenkominfo ketika memutuskan sebuah situs layak ditutup, Azhar menyebut “Tumblr ditutup (karena) menampilkan video porno”.
“Udah pernah lihat nggak video porno? Itu videonya adalah laki-laki (bersenggama) dengan perempuan, juga laki-laki (bersenggama) dengan laki-laki. Itu apa nggak porno itu? Selayaknya suami istri di sana.”
Azhar Hasyim akui pornografi masih bisa menyebar meskipun pemblokiran situs internet dilakukan.
Pemblokiran Tumblr, dilakukan Kemenkominfo tanpa komunikasi dengan pihak Tumblr terlebih dahulu. “Kalau pornografi ini harus duluan. Diblok dulu, baru komunikasi”.
Meskipun begitu, Kemenkominfo mengakui akses terhadap pornografi tidak bisa dibendung hanya dengan blokir. Apalagi terdapat berbagai trik untuk mengelabui sensor.
“Kalau yang bisa seperti itu pasti orang pintar, yang bisa lakukan bypass. Tapi yang dilindungi itu adalah masyarakat kita yang nggak ngerti apa-apa. Apalagi anak-anak yang melihat,” tandasnya.
Kemenkominfo menegaskan, situs dapat kembali dibuka jika Tumblr tidak lagi menampilkan konten porno. Namun, menurut Azhar, sejauh ini “belum pernah ada situs yang diblokir Kemenkominfo karena pornografi, yang kembali dibuka”.
Tumblr didirikan David Karp pada 2007 silam. Lewat Tumblr, pengguna dapat mengunggah konten multimedia dalam bentuk blog pendek.
Pemblokiran situs yang memiliki 420 juta pengguna di dunia itu, bersamaan dengan pemblokiran 477 situs internet lainnya, yang disebut Kemenkominfo menyebarkan pornografi.
