I'm sorry if this is a repeat topic - but how many of you are comfortable being nude around brothers or sisters?

I have a brother - we were not nude around each other a lot growing up - but since the boys and I adopted the lifestyle - he has joined in. It was a little awkward at first - like with the boys, But now we are very comfortable.

Growing up there were occasions. Most, but not all of them were pretty short. vacations etc. our family wasn't prudish, but casual nudity was not a thing.

just curious what everyone else experienced.
I was an only child. I did have one friend with whom I was occasionally nude. But he was the only one. My mother died when I was in junior high school and my father remarried. Then I had a step-brother and a step-sister. Casual nudity was not a thing in that family. I should add, however, that there was no end of differences with my new family, although I somehow managed to get along just fine. We moved from the house I had grown up in, which belonged to my late mother's mother, first to just outside of the same town, then to the country in the next county. Although I said there was no casual nudity in the family, which would be an understatement, the place in the country allowed me to start my lifelong practice of nude hiking. I was in high school at the time.
What prompted you to start hiking nude?

No casual nudity among siblings in my family. We are a pigeon pair.
Well, that's a good question that no one has ever asked before.

I have always enjoyed being outdoors and I still go hiking. Somewhere along the way when I was still in public school, I presumably discovered that I liked being nude, also presumably the same as everyone else here. I never went skinny-dipping anywhere, though, there being no suitable places for that. It may have been when I tried to get an all-over tan, which for me was a hopeless wish. Redheads don't tan. Anyway, I had found a good place in the woods near the house where I could 'lay out' and sunbathe. But sunbathing is boring, at least by yourself, so I was soon exploring the woods, naked. Then we moved to the country and I suddenly had acres and acres of woods to roam around in, so I did, naked. We'd been visiting that place for a few years before moving, so I had lots of opportunities. I've continued to hike nude off and on (I've always had other interests, too) over the years. I think the longest hike totally nude has been maybe something over ten miles. Practically every place I've hiked when warm enough to be nude is in shady places, so my fair skin has not been a problem.

That's not exactly the complete story of my life, you understand.
Blue ... In your years of hiking nude have you bumped into others on the trail? How do you handle the exchange? I too enjoy hiking nude, but always feel a bit uncertain of that risk.

I grew up in a conservative home and nudity simply wasn’t permitted. I have two sisters and they were a bit younger than me. I remember around age 13, trying to convince them to sleep nude since I had already adopted the “one-button sleeper.” We saw each other a few times, but it was a pretty short-lived experiment that failed.

I didn't have any siblings until I was 13. In fact I only had mom until I was 12 when she remarried, but while not a nudist, she was comfortable with nudity- didn't freak out if I saw her dressing or in the tub and didn't care if I was nude as long as we didn't have visitors. As for my sister, there was so much age difference that she never seem like a sibling to me, more like some baby my mom agree to take care of. She was only 6 when I left home for college.

Of course, my kids grew up in a clothes optional home from the start so it was normal to them to see each other and mom and dad nude. The thing that seem strange to them was that their friends families were not like that.
I grew up with 2 older brothers. 
We were an ultra conservative family. We were never naked in front of each other. We always changed clothes behind closed doors.
In fact (and I told this story once before), I shared a room with one of my brothers, and one morning, I woke up with a blanket over my face. He covered my face in case I woke up while he was getting dressed. My Mother did scold him for that and told him to next time, go in the bathroom.
We never shared baths or anything like that.
So or course, finding out I'm a nudist I was now a "pervert" and I have no relationship with either brother. I haven't spoken to them in over a decade and we last saw each other 9 years ago at my Dad's funeral; they sat on one side of the church and I sat on the other.
I am the youngest of three and my brother was emotionally and physically abusive. Although I had desires to spend casual nude time at home, I never did because I was afraid it would cause additional abuse.

Now that I am an adult, if my siblings come to visit, they will see me nude and there's nothing they can do about it. If they don't like it, they know where the door is.
My sister and I have not been nude or would not be nude now around each other.

I do remember when we were younger camping and swimming in the lake I took off my shorts.
