Waiting for Springer to pop out. I actually do miss some Farrah drama, but she had issues. Why do the Duggars get good street cred when these young people are trying to show positive parenting to young people and then the cameras over focus on negative messages. If that means TLC more than MTv the franchise should sell the contracts to a more family friendly show who will focus on more positive storyline spin.

First, I am happy to see Bristol on this show. Her and her exhusband are doing a really good job of illustrating the difficulties that come in relationships with service members. It really deepend my approciation. Secondly, for anyone consufed, amazon put out a bunch of mini episodes and commercials before the season aired and many people who gave this show bad rateings at the beginning did not yet recieve the season, but they have those episodes now.

Several things, including the new additions, totally ruin what has clearly been going downhill already for a while now. For one, Bristol Palin is about as entertaining to watch as paint drying. There's just nothing entertaining there at all. For two, Cheyenne, while more entertaining than Bristol, isn't even a teen mom and seems to belong on a different type of show. For three, Amber's lying in bed and whining constantly is getting old. I definitely realize that editing is a huge factor in how she appears, but there's just nothing new. For four, the only thing still slightly interesting about Maci is the Ryan drama, and even that is getting old. Maci seems to have her life so well together now that there's just nothing that great to watch about her anymore. I still love Ty and Cate, and they are about the only reason I'd be interested in watching another season of this show (if produced), but I definitely wouldn't purchase it. Overall, this has been on so long that it's losing its appeal. It's just not worth buying to watch anymore.

Sarah Palin 's kid Bristol who had that embarrassingly stupid show about Tripp, her kid, is being added as a Teen Mom OG, with the added "bonus" of talking head shots of Grandma? So far, between Sarah, Bristol, and hubby Dakota, it looks like the Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest family - one episode in, they are already, once again, demonstrating their stupidity, needing PTSD explained to them, then breaking it down to us-big newsflash-that Bristol is "naive". Bonus addition to this bizarre mess, they drag some other random person over from some other unrelated reality show and this one is not only not an original TM OG either, but not even a Teen mom- and decide to label her an "OG" too?!? WTF?!? Speaking of random, it's annoying enough that, during the reunions, we have to deal with Nessa, (who is she and where did she come from?) and we never quite seem to be able to shake "Deb OG" loose (Farrah is GONE, let's PLEASE let that dead horse lay down, stop BEATING it already!), now we appear to be stuck with these NEW "teen moms" as part of the supposed "OG"? BAD idea, REALLY bad. This is NOT Teen Mom OG, this is Teen Mom OMG.

There is two new girls in the season & they’re irrelevant, season isn’t good anymore. Not Amazon’s fault.

Maci Bookout believes early episodes of her MTV reality show, “Teen Mom,” can help her 13-year-old son, Bentley, better understand the birds and the bees.
“I feel like the authenticity of our show in the early days, it’s kind of unmatched,” she tells Page Six in an exclusive interview, while promoting the latest iteration of the franchise, “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.”
The 31-year-old elaborates, “And I feel like it’s a great, real, raw, human example of, ‘Hey, this is life and this why every decision you make matters.’”
Bookout was one of six girls who starred on the inaugural season of “16 and Pregnant,” a real-life depiction of teen pregnancy that premiered in June 2009 — following extensive media coverage of Jamie Lynn Spears and Bristol Palin’s teen pregnancies. (Palin, now 31, eventually appeared on a season of “Teen Mom OG” in 2018.)
Months after “16 and Pregnant” debuted, Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell were assembled as the original cast of “Teen Mom,” an instant hit that ignited further conversations about teen pregnancy in America.
Bookout memorably faced a series of obstacles after welcoming her son in high school — including a broken engagement with Bentley’s father, her ex Ryan Edwards , Edwards’ seeming disinterest in fatherhood and his eventual battle with addiction .
Those struggles, along with those of Bookout’s castmates, had a positive impact on viewers and, most notably, teen pregnancy rates in the U.S.
Despite concerns that “16 and Pregnant” and ensuing “Teen Mom” spinoffs would glamorize teen pregnancy, research conducted in 2014 and published by the National Bureau of Economic Research indicated that the franchise was to credit for a decline in underage conceptions across the country.
“We’ve always believed that storytelling can be a powerful catalyst for change, and are incredibly heartened by this news,” Stephen Friedman, then-President of MTV, said at the time.
For her part, Bookout is hopeful that Bentley will make a concerted effort to avoid teen parenthood — especially after watching his mother’s onscreen journey.
“Obviously, I was a teen mom. And as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized more and more I was a kid having a kid and was a kid raising a kid,” she reflects. “I think with Bentley getting so close to 16, it really just puts that into a whole kind of different perspective of, ‘Yeah, you were a baby having a baby,’” she reflects.
The mom of three — who also shares daughter Jayde, 7, and son Maverick, 6, with husband Taylor McKinney — adds, “He’s a great kid … Bentley’s mature and he’s very wise beyond his years and still, I’m like, ‘There’s no way [he can be a parent now].’”
“Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
