A very happy video full of happy people singing and dancing and a lot of happy fences – ENJOY!!
Guaranteed to make you smile on this Happy Fence Friday :-D
I am guarded by this hilarious court jester
because he's as bald as Uncle Fester
What do you mean you've no idea who that is
Surely you've seen the Addams Family
Well, I know he wasn't made up of old drainpipes
he stands at the wayside guarding me well
but if a robber stops by he can't run
so quite what good he is proving to be
but he's company during the day and night
and he squirts me with water when I am hot
one night the alarm was tripped and went off
but it drove right through the gap between his legs!
People stop by just to take his photo
so I wish Poppy had focussed more on ME the FENCE
and not on my friend just 'cos he's funny!!

Here’s a shot of my latest custom built drone that I’m flying now, fitted with a GoPro 6 Black for filming smooth video. See below for link to results......such an experience to fly......so enjoyable!!.
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you.
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do.
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee, my squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, miss-spells, knocks me on my knees.
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt, hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company.

Before anyone clicks on the link to this video, I want you all to keep an open mind! I can enjoy music from all genres so when a band is cubbyholed with a certain label, I'll still give it a listen to, because no one genre is all bad. With that said, this song is by a band from my part of the world, the video shows some great scenery from this province and the song is catchy as hell with the band being down to earth and wholly entertaining. I found this video when it had just over 59 million views, and it wasn't that long ago.......I don't think I've watched it almost 14 million times, but it's been a lot. So, give them a listen...if it's not your thing that's OK.....just carry on to a different video and I won't hold it against you! :D
I had a quiet Second Life evening yesterday and while looking around on the Mother Road sim I decided to stop in at the little chapel and sit and think for a bit. It's the Jessenia Wedding Chapel by Trompe Loeil, but there was no wedding while I was there, although it's a beautiful building if a wedding is in your future. The sign says Jesus is coming and no....I'm not ready...but I'll put the coffee on.
Here are some pictures. itook on this day right before I had some fun with my new squirting dildo!!

These are pretty much the defining buildings of Cohagen, seeing as they are right on the main street. I wonder what it was like in the days when this place was swingin' on a saturday night...
All the town of Cohagen has is a post office (the local gathering place since this town is an hour or more from anything), an abandoned bar, several abandoned houses, and a tiny school. It is truly in the middle of nowhere.
Highway 59 that leads north of Miles City Montana is one of the most desolate places I have driven. On it are a handful of "towns" that usually have nothing more than a post office or a church in them.

-Curlers/straws/pipe cleaners (anything that can create curls)
-Fine tooth comb (preferably a rat tail)
#1: Always restore your doll's hair to optimal condition prior to adding any curls/waves. Make sure it has been washed, conditioned, and if necessary boil washed (or flat ironed) smooth. The better quality the hair is to start, the more polished and perfect the end product will be.
#3: Section the hair as desired. For smaller curls, you will want smaller sections. For larger curls or waves, you will divide in bigger sections. For the tightest ringlets (corkscrews), I recommend sectioning the hair horizontally by hair plugs/rows of wefts (a few at a time). For larger, looser curls/waves, I like to work in vertical sections, and to do fewer sections.
#4: Decide how large your individual sections of hair will be. The best way to figure this out is to match the size of your section to the curler of choice. Make sure they are the same diameter. Too large of a section of hair for a curler will not wrap well, and the results will be shoddy.
#5: Comb through the section of hair and make it as neat and straight as possible.
#6: Take an end paper and fold it over the hair, sliding it down to the ends. The end papers ensure that all the stray hairs at the bottom stay in place. Using them creates a more polished look, however you can curl without them. Dampen the papers if necessary, to help them stick in place.
#7: Slowly begin rolling the curler up the hair. If you want corkscrew/spiral curls, make sure not to overlap the hair on top of itself. For looser waves, turned under ends, or curled bangs simply roll a little bit of the bottom in which ever direction you want (do not go all the way up to the root). Consider where you want the curl to start,, so you can figure out how far up the hair shaft you need to roll the curler. Also consider the direction you want the curls to flow in. You will want to wrap away from the face for instance, so the hair does not fall into the doll's eyes.
#8: Secure the curler in place. For straws you will need bobby pins (keep the wavy part of the bobby pin inside the straw). If you use rollers, you will need clips. Perm rods come with their own elastics to stretch over the hair. Pipe cleaners can be twisted in place so they do not move.
#9: Continue to wrap curlers around the entire head. Double check all your curlers. You don't want any bumps or loose hairs. This will show in your end results, and can affect how smooth the finish is. If you need to redo sections, make sure to take the time to do so.
#10: For temporary curls that you want to gradually fall out over time, skip to step #13. For tighter, more "permanent" waves or curls, heat up water. You will want to set them with boiling water. No worries, if you do not like the results, you can always boil wash the hair straight again and start over.
#11: Dunk the doll's rollers in the hot water. For more stubborn hair types, like nylon and saran, leave the doll to sit in the water, undisturbed, for several minutes. For kanekalon hair (American Girl or fashion doll grades), Dunk the hair in and out of the water. This hair type takes to the heat very easily and does not need to soak. You can alternatively pour the hot water over the rollers in the sink if you choose to do so.
#12: After the boil wash, rinse the hair in cold water to help set the style.
#13: Drizzle diluted gel (2-4 squirts in a bottle of warm water, diluted thoroughly), over the doll's entire head. Concentrate on the rollers.
#14: For kanekalon hair, I recommend removing the curlers while the hair is still wet. This way you can assess if there are any undesirable bumps or places that need touching up. For looser waves/curls, take out the curlers on any hair type and comb gently through it. This will soften the style. To help the style set, gently comb through each section and twist it into place.
#15: If there are any places you are unsatisfied with, you can heat another bowl of water and comb it through these spots (do not dunk the hair, or it will straighten out your work). You can also soften curls by gently combing hot water through them.
#16: Place the doll in front of a fan to dry. If the doll has curlers in her hair, it will take longer for her hair to fully dry out.
#17: Once the hair is dry, remove any curlers. If you decide to brush through the hair (depending on your desired style), and the hair is frizzy or too curly, wet the doll's hair and condition it. Comb the conditioner through the hair and coax the style into place. You can also comb hot water through the hair again if you would like. Add more diluted gel too for a shine!
#18: Voila! Your doll should have gorgeous curls.
*You can alternatively braid your doll's hair and dunk the braids in the boil wash. This creates a wavy texture. The size of the braids will determine how tight or loose the end result is. I recommend putting curlers on the ends of the braids so they are not stick straight (they blend better with the finished result if they are curly).
*If you are doing a wet set without a boil wash, I recommend putting undiluted gel directly on the damp hair, prior to curling each section. This will add a stronger hold.
*The type of hair your doll has will determine how easy or troublesome it is to curl their hair. Kanekalon hair will curl very easily, however the bobby pins/perm rod elastics are more likely to leave little bumps. Saran and nylon hair will need to sit for a longer time in the boil wash to set the curls. It is not easy to wet set these two hair types for this reason (a boil wash is almost always necessary to get defined results).
*Curling doll hair takes some finessing. Do not be discouraged if you are unhappy with your initial results. You can always boil wash the hair straight and start over. Practice makes perfect!
*I recommend taking the time to make the doll's hair look as great as possible before curling. You wouldn't curl your own hair when you first roll out of bed. A boil wash is also recommended prior to curling, because it will smooth out the texture and make the hair easier to work with. Likewise, for nylon hair that was frizzy beforehand, a flat iron treatment will get rid of any gross areas. This will result in shinier, smoother, more unified curls.
*Sometimes a little trim is necessary on the ends of the hair to make the curls as nice as possible. Simply skim the ends of the hair with scissors to create a more finished look.
*You can curl dry hair, but it is trickier to work with. Damp hair is more cooperative and easier to section. If the hair starts to dry out while you are working with it, simply spray some water onto it.
I shot this video with my Canon 6D.
These used to be invisible since they were covered with water. In the past couple of years, the Salton Sea has begun drying up and now these are are exposed.
Note that you must hike about 3.5 miles each way - often through deep, sticky, and slippery mud/liquid clay to get here. I lost the sole of a hike shoe hiking back from here.
A mudpot — or mud pool — is a sort of acidic hot spring, or fumarole, with limited water. It usually takes the form of a pool of bubbling mud. The acid and microorganisms decompose surrounding rock into clay and mud.
The mud of a mudpot takes the form of a viscous, often bubbling, slurry. As the boiling mud is often squirted over the brims of the mudpot, a sort of mini-volcano of mud starts to build up, sometimes reaching heights of 3–5 feet. Although mudpots are often called "mud volcanoes", true mud volcanoes are very different in nature. The mud of a mudpot is generally of white to greyish color, but is sometimes stained with reddish or pink spots from iron compounds. When the slurry is particularly colorful, the feature may be referred to as a paint pot.
Mudpots form in high-temperature geothermal areas where water is in short supply. The little water that is available rises to the surface at a spot where the soil is rich in volcanic ash, clay and other fine particulates. The thickness of the mud usually changes along with seasonal changes in the water table.
From Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump, musicians have been ready to take on the commander in chief.
Regardless of what the current president thinks about the First Amendment and the press’ right to do their job, musicians have never been shy when it comes to expressing their feelings about the commander in chief.
From Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young‘s vicious slap at Richard Nixon on “Ohio” and Stevie Wonder‘s 1974 broadside against the disgraced Republican on “You Haven’t Don Nothin'” to the Ramones‘ scathing 1985 Ronald Reagan diss in “Bonzo Goes to Bitburg” and Eminem‘s still-smoking Trump takedown “The Storm,” music has often been one of the loudest bullhorns of presidential protest for folk artists, rockers and, increasingly, hip-hop artists.
In light of the bonfire lit by Eminem’s surprise BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle, Billboard is taking a look at 17 harshest presidential takedown tracks from the past six administrations.
Ronald Reagan — Though the B-movie actor charmed millions of Americans with his camera-ready smile and sunny outlook, the former California governor also served as fodder for lots of punks and rockers who took serious issue with his worldview.
Ramones — “My Brain is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes to Bitburg)”
Known more for their blitzkrieg 2-minute anthems about cretins, glue sniffers and punks, the iconic New York punk quartet could not abide by Reagan’s visit to a WWII-era German cemetery where a number of Nazi soldiers were buried.
Key lyrics: “You’re a politician/ Don’t become one of Hitler’s children/ Bonzo goes to Bitburg then goes out for a cup of tea/ As I watched it on TV somehow it really bothered me.”
Prince didn’t typically weigh in on the Washington, but he took a break on his 1981 Controversy album to address Reagan directly in a plea to tamp down the heating up cold war with Russia.
Key lyrics: “Ronnie talk to Russia before it’s too late/ Before it’s too late… Before they blow up the world.”
Violent Femmes — “Old Mother Reagan”
The Milwaukee trio best known for songs about the bedroom politics of onanism, broke out of their quirky lane on the lead track from their 1986 album The Blind Leading the Naked. The song paints the president as a senile granny trying to make it into heaven.
Key lyrics: Old Mother Reagan and her crew took away from me and you!/ I hope she goes far away, she better go far away/ Y’know it ain’t right when it’s all wrong/ This is the Old Mother Reagan protest song/ Old Mother Reagan — she’s so dumb! She’s so dangerous!”
George H.W. Bush — Reagan’s vice president and former CIA head drew fire for pulling the U.S. into the first Iraq War. Lots of it.
Following the raft of Reagan blasts, the Bush years brought an increasing amount of flak from the industrial and hip-hop world, including this thundering slap at the commander in chief that used audio samples of the prez repeating the phrase “new world order.” Though Ministry‘s lyrics don’t specifically mention Bush, they allude the the band’s feelings about him and the quick-cut video makes no bones about where its allegiances lie.
Key lyrics: “What we are looking at/ Is good and evil, right and wrong/ A new world order/ We’re not about to make that same mistake twice.”
Beloved for bro hymns like “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy),” these So Cal punkers took aim at Bush’s war with a song that questioned the arrogance of getting into a Middle Eastern conflict.
