Mulder and Scully investigate the mysterious case of a military test pilot who disappeared after experiencing strange psychotic behaviour.

Mulder and Scully investigate the mental breakdown and disappearance of a U.S. Air Force officer, Col. Robert Budahas, once a well regarded test pilot. Mulder's research reveals that there is a pattern of breakdowns at Ellens Air Force base but Scully thinks there are any number legitimate medical reasons for what has happened. Mulder is soon in touch with local UFO enthusiasts and learns where in the area is best to view UFOs. He comes across two young people who regularly sneak onto the base through a hole in the fence to sit back and watch. Mulder believes the aircraft the locals are seeing were built using alien technology and it becomes apparent that the U.S. government is hiding something and will go to great lengths to keep it that way. Throughout, Mulder receives advice and a friendly warning from an unknown man, Deep Throat, who warns him to be careful and confirms Mulder's suspicions about aliens.—garykmcd
This episode was filmed more than one year after its predecessor, Pilot.
When Scully is asleep in the car and a UFO (presumably) flies overhead, the glass shatters in the back. However, later, when Mulder and Scully are being detained by the "National Security" guys, the back windshield is shown intact.

Mulder: Ooh! If you were that stoned, what?
Scully: Mulder, you could've shown that kid a picture of a flying hamburger and he would've told that's *exactly* what he saw.

The best episode of the mythology in the X-Files ever made!
Deep Throat the second episode in the first season in my opinion is the best episode of the mythology in the first season of The X-Files! I love this episode to death and it is my favorite episode in the first season! This is my favorite episode in The X-Files and Season One is the best one for me, it is my number one favorite season in the entire whole show!
Like I said I highly enjoy the first season in the X-Files in this season you don't have any complications with Scully's health or Mulder's family death.
Plot: Mulder and Scully investigate the mysterious case of a military test pilot who disappeared after experiencing strange psychotic behavior.
Here we are introduced in to new character Deep Throat (Jerry Hardin). Jerry Hardin and his character was outstanding as Deep Throat who becomes Mulder's ally and his informant. Jerry Hardin's performance in this episode was awesome and very realistic acted. This is Jerry's best performance ever. We are also introduced in to actor Seth Green before he become famous on the TV show Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.
In this episode we see a military test filed on Air Force Base, we see military police raid the home of Colonel Robert Budahas (Andrew Johanston) we see a triangular craft who look's like a UFO. We know more about aliens including the military erased all test pilot's memories including Mulders.
I love Fox Mulder under a UFO. That scene is fantastic.
The music score for this episode from Mark Snow is beautiful and incredible I love hearing this song on alien mythology episode.
Zoe (Lalainia Lindbjerg) is incredible beautiful and very hot sexy babe.
I love when Mulder encounters Deep Throat while jogging at a local track. Mulder asks if "they" really are present on Earth: Deep Throat responds that "they have been here for a long, long time".
FX for this episode is not terrible like Chris Carter was describing that effects for UFO are the worst for this show. I highly disagree with him and this episode is incredible entertaining and fun joy to watch, so I don't know what's the problem?
This episode has even a government agents dressed as Men In Black who stops Mulder and Scully's car, they search them including all their files and they took the photo film with them.
The rating I am giving is 10 out of 10 is my favorite episode and Season One rocks!!!!!
