Breitbart tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos, a speaker at the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference, said on video that sex between 13-year-olds and older men can be “life-affirming” in the gay community.
The conservative Reagan Battalion blog site tweeted edited videos Sunday in which Yiannopoulos discusses Jews, sexual consent, statutory rape, child abuse and homosexuality.
Yiannopoulos, 32, posted a “note for idiots” on Facebook in which he said he does not support pedophilia.
“It is a vile and disgusting crime, perhaps the very worst,” the conservative provocateur wrote. “There are selectively edited videos doing the rounds, as part of a co-ordinated effort to discredit me from establishment Republicans, that suggest I am soft on the subject.”
He blamed his own “sloppy phrasing” and “deceptive editing” for any suggestions that he supported pedophilia.
It was unclear who edited the videos.

“I am completely disgusted by the abuse of children,” he wrote, pointing out that he has outed three pedophiles during his journalistic career.
The British author said he spoke of his own relationship when he was 17 with a man who was 29. The age of consent in the UK is 16.
Yiannopoulos writes for Breitbart News, a platform for the so-called “alt-right” movement, an offshoot of conservatism that mixes racism, white nationalism and populism.
President Trump’s chief strategist, Steve Bannon, served as executive chairman of Breitbart until he resigned to join the fledgling administration.
“I am a gay Jew and he made me a star,” Yiannopoulos told a British TV interviewer in November, the Washington Post reported .
The firebrand delights in challenging political correctness and attacking radical Islam and feminism — and his campus speeches attract raucous protests by students and others on the left who try to shout him down or have him barred.
“In the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men — the sort of ‘coming of age’ relationship — those relationships in which those older men help those young boys discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable, sort of rock, where they can’t speak to their parents,” Yiannopoulos says in one of the videos posted by the Reagan Battalion.
“It sounds like Catholic priest molestation to me,” a man says.
“And you know what. I’m grateful for Father Michael. I wouldn’t give nearly such good head if it wasn’t for him,” Yiannopoulos responds, referring to oral sex.
The alt-right firebrand defended relationships between teen boys and men, saying pedophilia is not a “sexual attraction to someone who is 13 years old,” the Washington Examiner reported .
“Pedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty,” he says. “That is not what we’re talking about.”
In another video, Yiannopoulos claims he was the predator when he was 14 years old and had a sexual encounter with a priest.
“I *did* joke about giving better head as a result of clerical sexual abuse committed against me when I was a teen,” he wrote in his Facebook defense.
“If I choose to deal in an edgy way on an internet livestream with a crime I was the victim of that’s my prerogative. It’s no different to gallows humor from AIDS sufferers,” he wrote.
CPAC announced over the weekend that Yiannopoulos would be speaking at the event.
Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, CPAC’s sponsor, defended Yiannopoulos’ planned address, which was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
“We think free speech includes hearing Milo’s important perspective,” tweeted Schlapp, who clarified that Yiannopoulos will not be the keynote speaker, as first reported, but one of 75 speakers.
An ACU board member lashed out on Twitter about the decision to invite Yiannopoulos.
“While I’m all for free speech, there is such a thing as vile, hateful speech that does not deserve a platform,” Ned Ryun tweeted . “There’s nothing about this that’s amusing. This isn’t about free speech. This is about basic decency.”
Yiannopoulos will share the stage with Vice President Mike Pence, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at the four-day conference, which kicks off Wednesday in Oxon Hill, Md.

Woody Allen has made his film again.
You know the one. A young woman with metric f**ktonnes of attitude and sexual agency goes after a neurotic man.
In this case the girl in question (though we might as well go full Nabokov and call her a nymphet) is fifteen. And she comes on to Jude Law who is in his fourties. Similarly, Chloe Grace Moretz is starring in the grim looking I Love You, Daddy.
(Yes, they are making a film called that).
The upshot of these films is broadly speaking the same. Beautiful young women striving for relationships with men considerably older than them.
The response to the news that these films are being made is one of disgust. People are asking why, they’re questioning in what world Elle Fanning and Jude Law feels like an appropriate romantic pairing and some people have suggested that it’s unlikely that a woman that young would want to be with a man that old.
That last point is where my issues start.

I might not like it, you might like it, and we might all wish that is wasn’t true, but the thing is, teenage girls do fancy older men. They do desire them.
When we pretend that teenage girls don’t have a sexual identity, or that they don’t ever find older men attractive, we ignore the problem. When we ignore the problem, we allow it to flourish.
I attended an all girl Catholic boarding school where there was, as you can imagine, sweet FA in terms of male attention to be had. I had always assumed that man-drought was the reason that most of us developed a passionate crush on a teacher at some point in our school career.
But having spoken to women who were raised in slightly less bizarre circumstances, I’ve revised that assumption. It’s not just girls who go to school in the middle of nowhere with no boys to flirt with who form passionate romantic obsessions with male teachers.
It happens at every school, in every town, all over the world.
Don’t we all have that friend who dated an ‘older’ guy when she was at school? I have more stories than I can count of sneaking out of school to meet up with men in their twenties and thirties so that we could drive around in his car drinking the alcohol he’d brought us and sneaking an illicit cigarette.
When you’re a teenager it doesn’t take much to make you feel sophisticated. Drinking, smoking and the ability to drive feel like the trifecta of adulthood, and if you’ve got even two of the three, you’re impressive.
Dating a teenager is a particularly intoxicating opportunity for men who struggle with women their own age. The benefit of being an older man is that you’re able to attract more conventionally attractive girls.
A younger woman will look up to you. She’ll listen to you. She’ll see you as wordly, she’ll see you as impressive. If you tell her she’s ‘mature’ for her age, she’ll believe you.
Which is exactly why men have a responsibility not to pursue younger women.
Even a small age gap – mid teens to early twenties, still carries this kind of imbalance. The vast majority of men would never want to accidentally take advantage of a younger woman. When it happens it’s not motivated my malice or designed to be predatory. It’s because they don’t realise that they’re acting from a position of power.
I draw a line in my head between the older men I fancied at a teenager who resolutely refused to engage with it, and those who indulged it or even courted it. There were teachers who let me embarrass myself with clumsy childish flirting but never encouraged me for a second. I feel intensely grateful to them now. I would have done literally anything that they wanted.
There were also people who weren’t so scrupulous. A boss who groped me whenever he could. Older men at parties who made comments about my body or came on to me. I remember them too. And I wish they’d known that I didn’t fancy them because they were interesting or attractive, but because they seemed powerful to me.
They weren’t powerful. They were sad men who were dazzled by youngness and flattered by my attention. They didn’t pause to think about the fact that I would remember how they ran their hands over my body or asked me if I was ‘still a virgin’.
But I remember. Ten years later I remember in technicolour detail, and I judge them.
So Woody Allen isn’t wrong to make his film again, at least not per se. He’s wrong about lots of other things, but the storyline of a young woman falling for an older man is an accurate one.
I just wish that for once the older man would brush her off and encourage her to go off and find someone a little closer to her age to explore with, at least until she reaches the status of a legal adult.

Milijana Bogdanovic and older partner Milojko 'Mikan' Bozic have stunned neighbours in their village in Serbia, with their unconventional relationship.
Milojko is a grandad who underwent heart surgery in December but even that has not stopped the unlikely couple planning for the future.
The lovebirds, who have a 53-year age gap, are organising their wedding for September 7 and hope to start a family.
Milijana said: "We have sex almost every day, I don't see what is strange with that. But since Mikan had his heart operation, I have to go easy on him in bed.
"But he is like a young man when it comes to sex, he doesn't need Viagra.
“Although, I don't know much about younger men, as I've always been with men older than me."
Milijana added that it was Milojka's looks which attracted him to her, saying: "I don't like young guys, I've liked older men since forever.
"For his years, he looks perfect. I don't care what other people think and say. I've known Mikan all my life, my neighbours and I used to help him when he was sick, that's when our love was born."
She said her only sadness was that her parents were disappointed with her choice as she had always enjoyed their support.
Milojko has three children, aged 40, 35 and 30, from his first marriage, and two grandchildren, aged 13 and 11.
He said his relationship with Milijana had come as a surprise to him as he had never expected to find love again at his age.
Milojko said: "I was attracted to her kindness and beauty. Who doesn't like younger? It's more sexy of course, kissing and everything else.
"I've known her since she was little, but I hadn't thought of anything like that. When she was growing up we spent time together but nothing more."
The couple will have to marry in a registry office as the local church does not marry couples with an age gap of over 15 years.

She was 17. He was 39, more than twice her age.
For years, her parents said they later found out, the older man had been flattering the teen. He was a trusted family friend who had been like part of the family since she was 14.
He told her how awesome it was that she was still a virgin, how stupid the boys her age were for not trying to get in her pants, how he would be trying to all the time if he were in high school.
He wanted her to send him nude photos. He wanted her to meet him at his office and at his house when his wife wasn't home.
She thought they had a future together.
By the time they had sex, the law couldn't protect her. At 17, under Indiana law, she was old enough to consent to sex.
"The way the law is written now, there's no way to prevent someone who is 50 years old from going after someone who is 16," said the girl's father, Rob Fields, 38, Bedford. "They can pretty well do whatever, and there's nothing there. In many other states, they'd be thrown in jail in a second."
Unable to press charges against the older man, Fields is pursuing changes to Indiana's sex crime laws.
There are two changes that could have helped shield his daughter, he said: One, to raise the age of consent to 18 from its current 16. Two, to add some kind of provision that would make it illegal for much older adults to have sexual relationships with teens.
With a Change.org petition in the works, Fields also hopes to rally legislative support. On Wednesday, state lawmakers are scheduled to discuss Senate Resolution 3 , which if passed would bring up Fields' proposal for more serious consideration in a summer study committee.
The key question that lawmakers likely would consider: What's the difference in your judgment at age 16 and age 18?
At 16, you're old enough to get a learner's permit but not your driver's license. At 18, you're old enough to vote.
But one local criminal justice expert says that with possible changes to the age of consent in Indiana, lawmakers also would have to carefully define who can have sex with whom.
Would sex involving a 17-year-old who is dating a 21-year-old, for example, be illegal?
With the modernization of sex crime laws, "it's not criminal for teenagers who are very close in age to have sex together," said Indiana State University associate professor Lisa Decker, who teaches in the criminology and criminal justice department.
Raising the age of consent would defy national trends of decriminalizing consensual sex, Decker said.
In Indiana, it's considered child molestation to have sex with a child younger than 14, who cannot consent to sex.
In most circumstances, it's also illegal for someone older than 18 to have sex with someone younger than 16, under the state's laws on sexual misconduct with a minor.
But the law makes allowances: Someone younger than 16 can have legal consensual sex with someone who is within four years of age older and still under 21, if they're in an ongoing relationship.
Each state sets its own age of consent, so what's legal in Indiana may not be somewhere else. Some states, such as California and Wisconsin, set the age higher, at 17 or 18. That can make understanding the law a little tricky, Decker said.
The definition of a "child" isn't even the same throughout Indiana code, Decker points out. In some sex crime statutes, such as inappropriate communication with a minor, the line between legal and illegal is drawn at 14. When it comes to consent, generally it's 16.
