There's a lot of hate in this world, and it's shoved in our faces on a daily basis. But sometimes, all you need is one story like this one to be reminded that the human race can be as triumphant and kind as it can be cruel and disparaging.
Twitter user @paleveil posted these screenshots of her 13-year-old brother texting with his best friend, or "bro," because that is what the cool kids are saying nowadays. She told Buzzfeed that she did get permission from her brother to share his inspiring story, and since she first tweeted the pics, they have received over 30,000 retweets and over 50,000 favorites.
Though these two are just barely in their teens, this conversation shows that true friendship and understanding can happen at any age. And when you think about all the adults who are protesting gay marriage and trying to keep same-sex couples from getting the same rights as straight couples, basically trying their best to spread hate, it's remarkable that two boys who are so young can be so mature and loving.

In case you can't see the images, after coming out and sharing his confusion and fear that he might lose his friend over his sexuality, his best bro responded with this:
