Filming of Lindsay Lohan's upcoming biopic about Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace was scheduled to start in August.
But with the troubled star at the beginning of a 90-day rehabilitation program, rumours began circulating this week that she had been dumped, yet again, from another project.
Fortunately for the actress, who was freed from jail at 1.35am local time yesterday and transferred to the UCLA medical centre, Inferno's producers have jumped to her defence, declaring their loyalty to the star.
To rebuff any further speculation, new images of Lindsay posing in character as Linda Lovelace have been released.
Wearing white underwear, she poses provocatively on a bed surrounded by men.
In another shot the 24-year-old gazes at herself in a mirror, wearing a brunette curly wig.
Lindsay does bear a resemblance to the 1970's porn actress, who died in a car accident in 2002.

The photographs were taken by Lohan's friend, photographer Tyler Shields, for his book The Dirty Side of Glamour, before her incarceration.
In a lengthy statement to E! Online, the film's producer Chris Hanley and director Matthew Wilder reveal how Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan called them after hearing reports that Lindsay had been fired.
'The producers and director of Inferno, the story of Linda Lovelace, have been aware of certain media articles indicating there had been some alternative actors considered for the Lovelace role other than Lindsay Lohan,' they said.
'Lindsay's mother called the director yesterday concerned that there was some truth to the statements.
'These stories are completely unfounded and untrue.'
The statement confirms that shooting has been rearranged to commence after Lindsay has completed her stint in rehab:
'The current production schedule, which works around L.L.'s current court obligations, has a start of photography in November of this year.
'The creative team behind Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story wishes to express our renewed support for Lindsay Lohan.
'We never considered recasting Inferno, and never would recast it. There is no actor more ideally suited to this role than Lindsay, and we are content to start production after she finishes what the court mandated.'
The actress, who served 13 days of her 90-day sentence, was whisked to her new rehabilitation facility under heavy security after a last-minute change in plans.
Lohan was scheduled to enter Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, however Judge Marsha Revel, who is presiding over Lindsay's case, cancelled those plans reportedly due to security concerns.
A spokesperson for the Morningside Recovery facility said, 'In some cases, a higher level of containment provided by only a hospital institution, such as UCLA, is beneficial before implementing Morningside Recovery's multi-disciplinary clinical programs in our residential and extended care treatment.'
'We hope, as we do with all those in treatment, that this decision for Ms. Lohan's welfare provides her a continuum of care that supports sustainable recovery.'
The star has checked into the Stewart & Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where Britney Spears was held in protective care in 2008.
