“Let’s get rid of the stigma surrounding everything about sex.”
No matter what kind of sex you are or aren't having, it's important that it be safe. That's exactly why Harvard University held an anal sex 101 class as part of its Sex Week.
According to College Fix, Harvard hosted an anal sex 101 class, teaching students what they need to know about “putting things in your butt." The workshop, entitled "What What In The Butt: Anal 101," took place on Tuesday, November 7, just after a workshop on STDs in the LGBTQ community.
"Sex Week fans asked for it, and here it is... Interested in anal play but unsure where to begin? Led by a Good Vibrations educator, this workshop will teach you how to make anal play healthy, safe, and pleasurable," a description of the event on the Sex Week Facebook page said. "You won't want to miss this event."
Just like with any form of sex, anal isn't for everyone, but as Gigi Engle pointed out for Teen Vogue, it's important to know the facts if anal sex or any form of anal pleasure is something you'd like to explore. Whether that means learning about proper protection, the importance of lube, or why people are interested in anal sex in the first place, having knowledge about your own body and pleasure can keep sex healthy and safe, just like Harvard's event aimed to do.
“Oftentimes campus dialogue doesn’t include important aspects of sex, sexuality and sexual health, gender and gender identity, and relationships and intimacy,” Lita D. Peña, co-president of the university's Sexual Health Education and Advocacy Throughout Harvard (SHEATH), told the Harvard Crimson. “These are really complicated conversations and we should be having these conversations more often.”
Lita also said the week serves to destigmatize all the kinds of sex people enjoy, in an effort to make it easier for people to access the information that can keep them healthy and safe.
“Let’s get rid of the stigma surrounding everything about sex,” Lita said. “That’s the only way everyone can have really healthy and successful sex lives, whether that includes having sex or not.”
According to the Harvard Crimson, this is the 7th annual sex week at the university, sponsored by SHEATH.

Can you believe we’re almost halfway through 2021? Where does the time go? We’ve been gifted with an array of exceptional new shows — Made For Love, Hacks, Mare of Easttown — as well as a slew of steamy new scenes. Tonight’ we’re concentrating on the latter.
The workweek? Over. The lights? Dimmed. You know what that means: It’s time for a little Decider After Dark.
If this is your first time experiencing Decider’s sultry brand of after hours content, we recently covered the hottest TV shows on Netflix, the sexiest titles on Prime Video, and, well, c’mon, we’re not going to forget about HBO Max or Hulu. This week’s edition focuses on the hottest sex scenes of 2021. We have one additional suggestion: Netflix’s upcoming dramedy Sex/Life. Why didn’t it make the main article? Great question. Unfortunately, this future Decider After Dark favorite doesn’t premiere until June 25, 2021. HBO’s wildly entertaining drama Industry also almost made the list, but the series premiered in late 2020 as opposed to 2021.
Which shows/movies made the cut? Click through the slideshow to discover the hottest sex scenes of 2021.
Sign up for Decider After Dark and get news and info about the hottest movies and sexiest shows on streaming, all in our Decider After Dark newsletter!
There are a surprising amount of sultry scenes in Maggie Friedman’s Firefly Lane. Netflix’s Katherine Heigl/Sarah Chalke buddy drama follows the lifelong friendship of two characters: Firefly and Lane. Wait, no. That’s not right. Tully and Kate are their names.
There’s no shortage of steamy options to choose from, but the sexy montage at the beginning of Episode 3 is all kinds of hot.
Netflix’s Who Killed Sara? isn’t only well regarded by critics (an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes) but the popular series didn’t make viewers wait for more episodes. The Mexican mystery thriller premiered March 24, 2021 on Netflix, with the second season debuting less than two months later (May 19, 2021, to be exact). The photo to the right is from the third episode of the first season, which is easily the sexiest installment of the series.
Not to be confused with the Kelly Clarkson jam “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” Netflix’s British erotic thriller centers on a single mother (Louise, portrayed by Simona Brown) who begins an affair with her boss (David, played by Tom Bateman) while simultaneously befriending his wife (Eve Hewson). Awkward. While Louise and David have a steamy hookup in Episode 2, this office sex scene takes place in Episode 3.
If you’re looking to rent a sexy flick, Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough steam up the screen in the romantic drama Monday.
Directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos, the film follows two Americans embarking on an unforgettable weekend in Athens. “Monday wastes no time getting to the good stuff,” Jade Budowski wrote in her review. “Mickey and Chloe wake up butt naked on the beach in each other’s arms, later have passionate sex on a different beach, on a ferry, in bed, in the back of a van, and everywhere in between. These two are not afraid to strip down, both physically and emotionally. There’s not much left to the imagination in this steamy Greek summer.”
The Nevers may have been met with mixed reviews — it currently has a 51% Tomatometer score — but the sex scene from Episode 5 is undeniably sexy. You gotta love a man who puts a woman’s pleasure first! Due to the pandemic, the season was split into two six-episode sections. The first half of Season 1 concluded on May 16, 2021, and Decider’s Meghan O’Keefe believes Part 2 will premiere sometime in 2022.
Well, those two crazy hotties finally did it. After five seasons, a flash-forward, and something called a “Gargoyle King,” Archie and Betty finally had sex. In a shower. If you’ll recall, Archie also had shower sex with Veronica back in Season 2. Riverdale’s really earning that “town with pep” moniker, right?
The scene happened in the Season 5 episode “The Homecoming,” which Decider’s Alex Zalben covered back in February.
One of the hottest (and longest) sex scenes of the year belongs to Apple TV+. If you guessed Ted Lasso… well… you’re wrong. Very wrong. It’s Losing Alice! This steamy Episode 7 scene centers on two actors filming a sex scene and then actually having sex (Jon Lovitz voice: ACTING!).
The cherry on top? The scene is directed by the actor’s wife.
Halston wastes no time getting to the good stuff. About five minutes into the first episode, Sullivan Jones’s Ed Austin and Ewan McGregor’s Halston (it is the titular role!) have a quick sex scene. Decider’s Joel Keller gave the series a “stream it” recommendation, writing that “while Halston isn’t a great show by a longshot, it’s one of the few recent Murphy shows that we haven’t wanted to turn off fifteen minutes in.”
The Polish sex comedy Sexify has an 83% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes and a bevy of sex scenes. What more could you want? A Season 2, I guess, right? Get on that, Netflix.
The series follows a sexually inexperienced student and her friends as they attempt to build an innovative sex app and win a tech competition. All eight episodes (the photo is from Episode 3) are now streaming on Netflix.
Earlier this year, episodes of Luis Miguel: The Series Season 2 began premiering on Netflix. The first season may have had a few more steamy scenes, but the second season still had its fair share of sensual moments. This photo is from the eighth episode of the Season 2 (“Historia de amor”), but the whole series is worth streaming.
