Being pretty is not an easy gig, at least that's what this 20-year-old says.
Felicia Czochanski has caused an internet storm after sharing a blog post about her day to day struggles that stem from her good looks.
The blogger, from New York, says that "coming to terms with being perceived as 'beautiful' wasn't easy".
Describing herself as a "girly girl" with "blonde hair, big hazel eyes, 34DDs, and toned calves", she says she can typically be found in heels, and a dress or skirt.
But rather than giving her confidence, she claims her attractive appearance has led people to take her at face value.
"It soon became how people knew me. People seemed to forget or simply ignore my accomplishments."
Miss Czochanski says she struggled so much with being good looking that in her teenage years she made an effort to dress down, wearing oversized clothes and less make up.
"I dulled myself down, personality - and appearance-wise, for years, trying to be appreciated for something other than my looks," she said.
And when she does wear dresses and heels, she is infuriated by the stares she gets from passers by.
It even makes her question her outfit choice.
"The immediate thoughts of whether my skirt is too short or my shirt is too low cause me to doubt the professional outfit that I put on in the morning," she said.
"I don't find my 'attractiveness' so magnetic that it should cause men to stop what they are doing and be compelled to whistle, catcall, or tell their friends to turn and look at me.
"I am just a young woman trying to get where I need to be. I'm not bragging that people comment on my appearance.
"In fact, I despise that anyone thinks this type of behavior is acceptable."
Miss Czochanski penned her thoughts in an essay for Cosmopolitan magazine, however since the article was widely shared there has been a public backlash.
One reader wrote: "The point is there, but the tonality is all wrong. As a professional writer, she should have a better understanding of how not to portray herself as a total brat."
Another said: "I think you're severely overestimating people's high opinions of you."

Buxom golfer Paige Spiranac has sportingly answered the one question everyone’s afraid to ask — and her answer is, no, they do not get in the way of her swing.
In a newly resurfaced Youtube vlog , Spiranac explained her 34DD breasts are real and, if anything, help her play better by keeping her arms in touch with her body as she putts, chips and drives.
“I’ve never had my breasts done … they are as real as they can be,” she said, addressing the “most popular” question she gets.
Spiranac also pushed back on anyone trying to shame her for flaunting her figure while teeing off.
“My cleavage is always out, I don’t get offended by it when people ask me these questions because I am aware, I’m showing it off in a way,” she said.
“I do work really hard on my body, I spend a lot of hours in the gym and on my diet and I’m proud of how my body looks,” she added.
Spiranac, who recently opened up about her nude photo leaking , said she typically stands a bit farther from the ball to give her some extra swinging space — but she’s otherwise unphased by her chest during play.
“It’s never an issue, they’re just kind of there. Putting, chipping, really anything else you’re pretty much set,” she said.
“And actually, I think it kind of helps because my arms are so connected I feel them touching pretty much all the time,” she went on. “So you do feel connected instead of having that excessive space. So I use it to help me.”
