Technology: A Look into the Python Programming Language Used for Web Development

Though the web development industry is not as old as some other industries it is nonetheless one of the most important ones today. It is growing rapidly and can be very profitable. The ever-green selling point of this industry is the abundance of information that is available to anyone, anywhere, at all times. Just looking at the stats reveals the immense growth of this industry.

Three decades ago, there were just a few hundred thousand websites and today there are billions all thanks to technological advancements and population growth. Web development involves developing websites for a private network (intranet) or for the World Wide Web. Web development includes designing the website, web server, content development, network security configuration and client-side/server-side e-commerce development.

The process of web development involves writing code and mark-up and requires expertise in programming. There are various programming languages that programmers use and Python is one.

Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers consider Python as the basic foundation or the backbone tool for web development. Python is used for Internet of Things (IoT) and Web Development because it offers a unique syntax that sets it apart from the rest of the programming languages.

Python, for the most part, is considered to be a beginner’s language that is relatively easy to learn and it’s now the most popular among programmers. Since its release in the 80s, Python has come a long way and is now an open-source project that has a large professional community following, with the intent to continuously improve the language.

Even big companies such as Spotify, Disques and Instagram use Python which speaks to the volume of diversity offered by the Python platform. Industries ranging from finance to transportation and travel to healthcare use Python due to the immense levels of flexibility offered. Python offers intuitive solutions.

Because Python is formed on the Asynchronous Coding platform, it is easy to read and use. Python is used for Numeric and Scientific Applications as well as Software Testing, Application Scripting, AI and Prototyping tasks.

Python does have some True Multiprocessor Support Limitation issues, with limited practicality for Mobile App Development, Speed Limitations and it also has some significant Design Restrictions. It is not ideal for Memory-Intensive Tasks.

Python though is one of the most flexible and adaptable coding platforms that has widespread applications and has contributed significantly to the modern technological world.

A little fun fact, The name ‘Python’ was based on the Monty Python Comedy Group.
