A08 builds self-models for machines and robots.
We are developing systems that detect when a machine’s dynamics have changed, identify what happened, update its internal model and help it continue operating.
The Ambition
Machines should not rely on a fixed model throughout their lifetime. They should understand how they behave today and adapt as components wear, payloads change or failures occur.
We are starting with robotics, then expanding to industrial machines and autonomous systems. The goal is to make A08 the reference company for machine self-models.
As we prepare A08’s first funding round, we are looking for a technical co-founder to turn our initial results into a robust product and bring it to real machines.
What you would do
* Build and train A08’s world models
* Develop the detection, diagnosis and repair loop
* Work across simulation and real hardware
* Turn research results into reliable products
* Shape the technical roadmap and company with other co-founders
Who we are looking for
* Strong Python and machine learning foundations
* Some understanding of robotics, control, simulation or embedded systems
* Comfortable moving between papers, experiments and working demos
* Interested in building a company, not joining one
This is a co-founder role with meaningful equity. Location and working setup are open for discussion.
The hiring process will be informal :

2. A working session on a real A08 problem
3. A short period to see how we work together
4. Then a mutual decision
