Team Kraken

A ship full of dreaded Resistance pirates sailing the Ingress sea: Team Kraken is a Resistance team founded during D.I.C.E. London. The name comes from the Rum introduced to them during the days leading up to the D.I.C.E. anomaly in 2014 and the team has agents from all over the Europe.

They took inspiration from the Kraken Rum logo, using the same image but changing the boat in the Kraken tentacles by a frog and added a Smurf Hat.

Team Kraken had a previous logo created by agent Lion Van Koppenhagen:

This gate is from a place near a bar where the idea about Team Kraken was talked over during D.I.C.E. They put a sticker on the gate to be forever remembered.

Of course, where pirates and rum meets, good stories are born! Agent @Hardbas tell us:

"In Hanover it was the first time we had the Kraken flag made. The big flag of 1,5 by 2,25 meters. I wanted a pole for it but couldn't find something useable. At an hour before the picture was taken I had a genius idea to go to the DIY store. It's wasn't close but I just run and took public transportation. In the DIY store I bought a thick grey plumbing pipes of 5 meter in total and some ducktape. I was just in time back from the store to make it to the picture with our flag. Only the pipes are so heavy that the whole anomaly I carried it around but it was a hell of a work out."

"In Utrecht it was the first we went really big. We had about 100 people (with around 70 in our team T-shirts) in our team divided into a lot of small team to success the tactics. I was in a smaller bike Team with @Wfilipsen as lead. At first we had to field Utrecht and after that we made a linkstar. For the linkstar we were on a portal that was only good reachable on one site because of a canal. The other side was a company area. We asked at the company if we could stand on there area and it wasn't a problem. After a while some frogs came to the area and a teammate said to the frogs this a company area and we have permission to be on this private area but they said there couldn't be more in the area. After that message the frogs left and we had an easy defense."

"In Copenhagen on the picture we had that many flags that someone asked in the comment section of Google Plus dead serious: is the anomaly sponsored by Kraken rum? Also Copenhagen one teammate is just wandering and playing ingress with his flag displayed. And a he ran into a group of frogs. And they literally said oh no here's Kraken we should go another way. And left."
