A&R is short for Artist & Repertoire, the people who have traditionally identified new talent (artists) for record labels, signed them to record deals, and often times find the right songs (repertoire) for those artists to record.
Over time, the term has become somewhat generic and now applies to all people who find or curate artists and/or the music used in the record label, music publishing, and film & TV licensing aspects of the music industry.

"Driver never displayed his taxi license. Got in the car from citizens bank ball park to holiday inn express on walnut Street. Driver did the looppty loop taking high way toward jersey. I said by the way how much is this call he said 30.00
I paid him because I am out of town but let him know I knew what he did. Management should immediately fire such a dishonest person. Lucky for him I was not back in NY. Moral of the story make sure the Driver has the meter running and ask him approximately what the fare might be. And uber charges 19.00"
