My Tauren actually has weight behind him now, rather than the old, stuff running animation. I absolutely adore the new models and only now realize how bad the old models were, but that's my subjective opinion.

Animations in general are fucking terrible in this game, "Heroic Strike" is what a slight jump into the air and a swing with of the sword? They've needed to upgrade this crap ages ago, maybe not as flashy as the Final Fantasy 14 skills/spells but something better than what they have now.
Tauren heritage armor and customization was also amazing. I used to hate how slow they felt but maybe im old, its ok to me now. Saw that blood elf pallys had a bunch of new stuff but their customization is really similar to what i remember and their animations! SO bad.. When I used miners coffee on my DK, the Tauren run animation changed into... something beautiful :) Somehow, when you manage to accumulate a certain amount of speed bonus, Tauren go "full-plainsrunning" mode and take really large steps instead of the ridiculous super-fast-tiny-steps that they do normally.

I decided to log on my warrior after a long time (firs time since new animations) and all animations look the same! I am fury and when I use bloodthirst or raging blow or other abilities I dont remember the names of … my character just wildly swings her weapons a bit. Nothing stands out or looks iconic.
Tauren male>trolls>orcs. Also tauren melee animations are pretty funny. I'm putting such an emphasis on sounds because you're stuck with hearing those sounds for all kf endgame unless you reroll, mute the fame permanently or edit game files. If you hate a race's death sound it gets old fast with Feign Death.
The animation is necessary since rogues can group stealth them and certain items, spells, and effects can make you stealth. I doubt that Tauren rogues are coming this expansion or anything, but I don't doubt that the next expansion might use the elimination of race-class restrictions as one of its selling points.

Female Tauren 2H is much more manageable thankfully and especially on a warrior/paladin all fully armored looks intinimdating as hell, especially if you get that awesome special animation for colossus strike/templar strike going right after.

IMO Tauren looks better in most types of armor. There are some websites you can try out transmogs on whatever race you want. I suggest doing that and forming your own opinion since everyone will likely give you a different answer
My main is a tauren and it will always be but I won't lie that I feel the same sometimes, specially when you gotta move a lot to avoid the boss' abilities, you feel slow and with a huge hitbox which sucks.

Perhaps a minor gripe, but yea, the running animations are awful. The best way I can put it is that they're way too bouncy. Compare old dwarf male, orc male, Tauren male, undead male, and human male to their newer counterparts. They all have exaggerated bounce and sway like they're in a Disney movie frolicking through a forest rather than marching off to war. I don't even want to play ...
The melee animations are nice and tight, the casting animations look like they're slapping the shit out of you from a distance, and they run like they weigh a ton. I think they're great for everything but I think the animation set really shines on a shaman. It feels purpose-made. Female orcs are a great human surrogate.

Another thing: There are multiple models that can use this walking animation (or as I'll call it gait) including Tauren, Zandalari Trolls, even Humans.
I think its a misconception because the majority of Tauren players are druids and those druids are the ones often working in tandem with the Alliance druids. People forget that the true roots of the Tauren lie within the warrior, the hunter and the shaman. Reply reply Utigarde •
