I'm almost level 20. Go me! So I'm starting to think more about bullet stats.
If I wanted to start beating more PMCs, should I be looking for bullets with high penetration, high damage, or 50/50?
No in-between really, but where you're putting your shots matters the most
Personally I like high pen bullets for autos like m4 mdr and any 5.45 ak. For snipers like 7.62x54 so Mosin svd etc I use middle of the pack ammo and hit center mass it'll 2 tap. And pistols ap or nothing unless you like legs.
While grinding tarkov shooter, I've been playing with the mosin a lot lately, even going so far that if I see a scav with one I have went out of my way to kill them and nab it. At first I hated it, now I prefer it to other bolt action rifles.
High pen is normally the top tier pvp ammo. If you are new and not strictly going in to hunt other pmc anything 30-40 pen will do you just fine for most encounters
