Short and to the point but very well researched and filled with facts, this is the one book to read if you wanna know more about the attitudes people have towards the plant. This makes the read different, but also means it tends to follow a single thread of the story, while doubtless there are many other relevant sources and conflicting information left out. That lack of comprehensive coverage is frustrating at times. So I wonder just how thorough research on other parts of the timeline are. I also found the argument that cannabis has mostly been used spiritually to be argued using the same old themes used over and over, repeating the same confusion that the majority of work in that area usually shows.
