[acting in B-movies vs. soap operas] The only real difference is that if you're working with a girl who is brain dead and can't remember her lines to save her life, on a B-movie she might be hired again because she'll take her clothes off, but on a soap opera, she'd never work again. It basically boils down to a higher sense of professionalism.

[being cast in mainstream projects] I would've been disappointed if l hadn't broken out even a little, as I have recently, only because I needed to know I could get a part purely on my acting ability and not the fact that I would agree to take my clothes off and simulate sex with someone.

As an independent film director, I feel that often, the most interesting scenes in a movie include the unexpected moments that were never actually specifically written on the page. When an actor takes a beat or two longer to get his emotions or thoughts together while the camera is rolling, but the scene has not technically begun. Sometimes those quiet moments are the most honest and fresh. He is not "acting", he is simply "feeling" and building his emotions, and THAT to me can be magic on film.

“From a dusty trail we rode into town past the bake house and saloon with swinging doors. We pulled up our horses at the First National Bank and slowly, cautiously, dismounted. In my ears was the music of ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’. “Should we rob the bank today?" It would have been an interesting idea, but the bank was only a front and the saloon had no beer (real beer anyway), and the bake house had no bread, unless of course there was a shooting that day…film shooting that is.” Tane’ McClure grew up this way, on the back-lots of Universal Studios. For a time it seemed, all the world was make believe. Her father, actor Doug McClure starred in the hit Western series “The Virginian”. Tane’s grandmother was an Opera singer, so it seemed only natural for her to have a career in the entertainment industry. At age 4, she guest-starred with her father on “The Virginian”, and no, she didn’t get to rob the bank…darn. As Tane' McClure grew up, she enjoyed music and drama. At age 21, she landed her first recording contract with RCA records under the stage name Tane Cain. Her single "Holdin On" hit the top 40 Billboard Charts. She toured the world with The Jefferson Starship, Eddie Money, and others. Later she teamed up with the "Playboy Girls of Rock and Roll" in Las Vegas. As a singer-songwriter, one of Tane's credits include 3 tracks on the hit film "The Terminator". More recently, Tane' with her group "Double Take" on WTG/CBS Records hit the Billboard Dance Charts. Tane' never forgot her acting dreams. Her first co- starring role was in the cult classic "Crawlspace" with Klaus Kinski. She studied drama continuously, determined to be "more than just another pretty face". Developing into a talented comedic and dramatic actress, Tane' landed the series regular role of the quirky mistress on the hit ShowTime series "Sherman Oaks". She began guest starring on comedy shows like "Night Stand" as Coquette LaBaron (opposite Garry Marshall), as well as in the day-time soap "Bold and the Beautiful" just to name a few. Currently Tane can be seen in the theatrical hit "Legally Blonde" playing Reese Witherspoon's Sexy Mom, and co-starring in "Cruel Intentions 2" with Mimi Rogers. Also watch for Tane on CMT in the Academy of Country Music Awards nominated music video "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This". Tane's other film and television credits include: the current cable/video Hit Movie "Bare Deception", "Scorned II" with Andrew (Night Eyes) Stevens, and John (Bold and the Beautiful) McCook; "Cobra Mission"; "Caged Hearts"; "Border to Border"; "Raven's Kiss"; "Go"; "Shadow Hour"; the television series "Bay Watch Nights" ("Bay Watch" spin-off), "Keenan Ivory Wayan's Show" and many more. As a writer/producer and actress Tane's most recent film accomplishment is the super-natural thriller "Trance" which also stars Martin Kove and Bruce Abbott. As an expert professional horsewoman and show- jumper, Tane' jumped a 4 foot fence riding bareback for the TV show "Harts of the West" starring Beau Bridges. This dangerous feat almost killed two other stunt-riders that had attempted it just days before! Tane' enjoys competing in the National Show Jumping Circuit where she has won many state championships. In the feature film "Cobra Mission", Tane' plays a double crossing British Agent with a kick&literally, Tane' uses her martial arts skill opposite the champion kick boxer Don-the-Dragon Wilson. With so many talents, Tane's life might seem dizzying, but it's all in a days work for her as she rides off into the sunset singing a tune. She just can't resist that classic film ending!
