When the world tells you who to be, how to think and what to believe for generations and it only gets more imposing with the advent of technologies and the current state of social media it’s no wonder we’re in an identity crisis.
You see it everywhere you turn if your eyes are open. People attempting to fill voids with distractions, abuse of substances, accumulation of things, and most apparently in this platform... the need to change, alter and fix their appearance t…o fit in with the masses. When did uniqueness go out of style? When did purpose become played out? Sell your soul to the highest bidder. The need for a quick fix, zero patience for maturing and training. This goes for ones mind and their physical body. We are spiritual beings but we need developing. Our flesh is weak and so we will be tempted that’s for sure.
I’ve been pulled off of this platform so many times to refocus and after each hiatus I get the strong notion that it’s not my time to leave yet. So I stay. Though I feel like a foreigner most the time, an outsider looking in. But that ok. That’s a humbling process that I press into. It’s revealing truths to me that I need to learn before it’s my time to step into the fullness of my calling.
My eyes and ears have been opened and there’s no turning back. I welcome the unfamiliar and uncomfortable for the glory that is upon us immeasurable.
Not sure if that’s a category but I’m making it one. Not caring about the inches of my waist or the size of my booty. Not worrying about the heavy lifting gains I’m missing out on or the time with friends I could be spending. I am adapting. We are adaptable creatures. I make due with what I have because you know what... if you are seeing this post it means you have a smartphone. Something many people don’t have the luxury of owning. And if you’re ta…king the time to read this caption then possibly you have a roof over your head currently and enough food to feed your belly.
Our physical stature at this point should be:
Breathing ☑️
Food to eat ☑️
Roof over head ☑️
Healthy (relatively... I’m sure we all could be doing better but... working on it) ☑️
And that’s it. I’m not discrediting those putting in work towards their goals, by all means that’s necessary and some people’s safe haven, but please please take a minute to look at all the things we have to be grateful for right now in this moment.
I’m staying spiritually fed and that’s good enough for me.

#FBF to the 15s videos... 💪🏽😝 2016 was a hell of a year for me. I now know the true meaning of "there is no growth without pain". I have been down on my knees praying for an answer more times than I can count. And each time I was humbled by the response. It was always in me the whole time. I had to build myself up and put myself back together to find the solution. I still find myself up against barriers but now I look at them as brick walls, just waiting for my perseverance to break them down! I no longer question how I will get through the darkness, I simply close my eyes and let faith bring me to the light. I trust in my inner guidance for it has led me to where I'm at now and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Clawing for a chance to be wholly who I'm meant to be, each day realizing that I'm the only one standing in my way. It keeps me honest. It keeps me grinding for more. I won't stop because I love this life. The hardships, I welcome with open arms, the heartbreaks, are just lessons to be learned... I will not stop being me.. too open, too honest, too caring, too vulnerable.. for if that goes I will have nothing. I will continue to wear my heart on my sleeve and I won't change that, I just had to improvise and learn how to protect it with a quick jab punch duck combo.. adapt and change.. that's the name of the game.
