I am a very tall woman(obviously, that’s why I’m here). I’m a black woman at that. Whenever I post in here, the crazy messages I get from men are slightly disturbing. A lot of them are men asking me to belittle them or cause them physical harm. They ask me to dominate them and subject me to their fetishes without my consent. I have pretty tough skin so I usually just move on, but it gets old. I have the same issue in real life, but much less, as people aren’t as bold in person. It would be one thing if you were messaging another consenting adult, but most of y’all don’t even respect us enough to ask for permission to speak that way. Ive been told to take it as a compliment, but I just don’t see how strangers completely disregarding that I am a person with feelings is complimentary. It’s degrading to say the least.
EDIT: there is nothing wrong with fetishes just please stop fetishizing us without our consent. And wearing clothes that you like is not “asking for it” if you think that you are most def a part of the problem.
Please let us know if you ever get a message like that because of a post on r/tall . It is completely unacceptable. Just send us a screenshot and we will deal with it.

I posted a few years ago in a sexually related subreddit about how to be more modest with things and I said in the post I was 16 and I still had 7-8 people message and ask if it was real, if I’d it show off, and stuff, just terrible
I'm just going to throw it out there: The type of people that do this kind of thing are not the type of people that are going to take this post seriously. Ultimately this isn't about people with fetishes, it's about people with poor impulse control that send creepy messages to women online. These people have mental health issues and are unable to control themselves when they feel they have anonymity on their side. I really wish there was an effective way of stopping it but there really isn't much beyond admins banning them unless it legally becomes harassment.

Creepy, entitled behaviour and lack of boundaries aren’t mental illnesses.
In fact, mentally ill people are far more likely to be on the receiving end of this type of behaviour than the general population.
This behaviour is terrible, but pathologising negative behaviour as mental illness only hurts mentally ill people by reinforcing societal stigma, and gives an excuse to people who behave like this. They are able to control themselves, they just choose not to.
Can't agree more. I moderated my girlfriends facebook account years ago when she was a stripper. Messages men would send 'her' aka me would blown your mind. Also had an inbox full of dick photos, all sizes from all angles 🤣. I remember once a 21 years old kid was sending a bunch of photos and weird messages and I said I was going to contact his mum on facebook to show them to her. Kid shit himself, tried to say it wasn't his account etc 😅. I swear the internet is a fucking weird place. Men constantly trying to video message the account, wanted to answer so bad 😅
I don't think it's right to just chalk it down to poor impulse control and mental health issues. Some people are just shitty.

Thank you for this. I’m not sure why people sometimes see our height as an icebreaker to talk sexually right away. I was 16 and a guy stops me and says “you look like you would be dominant in bed” I WAS 16. The attention our height gets from creepy men who want to conquer or be abused by us gets too much sometimes. We just want to be treated like a woman first, tall is just an adjective not the state of our being. I feel you & sorry you have to deal with such creepy messages. 😔
