Very calming and the air is really fresh. Great place to have a picnic! While a nice park, it is not nice enough to charge admission. As of writing, much of the park is under construction. Avoid this park if you can. Child playground facilities are also not available. A lot of greenery and fresh air make you feel great. Visit at least for once. There is seashore to visit within forest park. It is better to call it a country park. The construction of the park destroyed the environment of the original forest. In order to build the paved roads and trails, deforestation was found. The river ecology of wetland in the Pipa Lake was also altered. Where are those nectar-producting flower for attracting the butterflies? Somehow the butterfly tunnel turned into a bike racing track for the public. Who needs a tree house to be built on a small tree with little leaves? I don't see the natural environment of a so-called forest park is fully conserved in a proper way. Tickets necessary. I came here over than 10years ago, the Pipa lake view is still beautiful. Last time I was along, this time, with my family. The feeling is so happiness. It's definitely a must visit. I didn't have much anticipation at first. But the ride and the scenery meditate my mind. Tips: Make sure to rent an ebicycle. As the park is huge. Cycle will be hard to cover everything. Please bring sufficient drinking water with you because there is no water dispenser and store in the park. This is a very large park full of different trees and foliage. It is best to get there early between - am to avoid the large crowds as it is a popular spot. The bicycles are cheap and easy to rent. It's very spacious and the air feels nice and crisp on a cool day, which invigorates the body. Went in December, lots of bloodsucking mosquitoes. The scenery is serene and pretty good for a short stroll down the lake. The ocean nearby is. Not hard to get to and lots of space to park. The Railway Art Village in Taitung is a renovated railway platform and buildings that have been transformed into an art exhibition and tourist information center. The village is breezy yet protected from the elements, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors to explore. Great little park with a train and some local art. It was nice to visit. The tourist shops and visitor center are quite nice. Railway art village is well connected to public transportation and there are parking spots for bicycles and scooters. Art village has dedicated streets for shopping such as jewelry, food, cosmetics, and live performances. Art village has a rich history for the Japanese era railway where you can relax and see the old wagon, platforms with few lengths of railway lines, and storage warehouse. Art village is situated just behind Taitung bus stand and it has a restroom near to the village art. But need to take care sometimes you can see drunk homeless people. It's so sad but the government needs to take care of them. Railway art village Finally I come here, this is my target spot in Taitung downtown. Full art, culture and warmth. Breezy, but still protected from elements. The best part, is this place anchored by Sabra Andre's store, the amazing indigenous designer who has an incredible fashion shop here. Because its very hot so only went night time, experience was great, plenty of activities such as foods, souveniours to buy Very crowded on the weekend night. There are several shops selling handmade products. There is also a live band in the middle of the shop cluster. I love this place so much. Come here in the evening to see the lanterns and listen to traditional music. Amazing performing artists, a night of magic, music, trinkets and food. Craft beers and other libations. Pleasant place to walk around, although most of the shops were closed on the weekday that we were there. It looks like it would be a lot of fun on a weekend though! I still enjoyed the interesting architecture and the couple shops that were open. As it was a weekday, there were only a few stalls.. A few were selling quite interesting stuff. Reviewing here as I don't know the business name of the stall. Had some awesome BBQ at a stall here. Slow cooked beef that melted in our mouths. Highly recommend if you come across the stall, they specialise in BBQ with a Taiwanese twist. I loved this place! Vibrant and creative with a ton of interesting public art, unique buildings, craftspeople, musicians, and food. A great place to relax with a loved one and family. Just a few blocks away from a lively night market too. A perfect evening to soak in great weather in Taitung. Quite an enjoyable place to have a walk and relax. It has a number of artistic displays or constructs. There's also a shop selling interesting trinkets. Worth a visit. Went there twice, once during the day and once at night. Obviously, there's not much to see here during the day, but the atmosphere at night is mesmerizing. There was a live musician by the purple Christmas tree at the front of the road and there were quite a few people visiting although it's low season and a lot of the stalls weren't open that day. There's a selection of handicraft such as scented candles to choose from and you'll find a place to sit down and have a beer. The lanterns look lovely at night and give the place a special charm. Cool place to visit that has some vendors of handicrafts, buskers in the evenings and is near some fun restaurants. A beautiful place with grass, museum, and art sculpture. All kinds of handy craft that you do not really need, but may still want to buy. Nicely done lantern lighting and some food stalls for snacks limited choice though. Definitely worth a visit when you are a tourist in Tai Tung. This place is in Taitung city located along a wide boulevard within a. Good for strolls and coziness. Lots of rocks. The rocks are excellent quality. Nice place to ride your bike. Ocean is beautiful. Very nice park within city limit. You get to be near the ocean and enjoy the sea breezes without going far. I wish there were signs showing directions for people who are out of town. Nice place to relax and chill, right beside the sea shore! The view is soothing to the eyes. A really scenic place to relax and watch the sun set over the ocean. There's lot of trails to walk and bike and just enjoy the view. It does get rocky in some places and people don't have their big dogs on leashes, so do be careful of that! But other than that, it's so beautiful to just relax and hangout. I didn't expect much, I rented a bicycle and went out for a very early discovery advanture. I met an older gentleman walking, asking him how to get to beach, he gave me more info than expected. He suggested I ride pass a wooden bridge and continue to Pipa Lake. What a wonderful surprise, clear reflective tranquil lakes. Then I proceeded to jetty area, and what a pretty sunrise. The sun light shoot thru the cloud, it's well worth waking up early morning. This place is pretty good for groups or families, especially, kids. You can walk around or even do a picnic. Plus, the place is accessible. A popular park for the local and the tourists. Very nice to come here in the afternoon upon the sunset. Nice place for a walk. It would be nice to see the surrounding areas to be kept clean and tidy as it would make a great place for tourists to visit. Make sure you take plenty of water when you visit during summer as there is knowhere to buy anything within 7 to 9 minutes walk. Right next to the Pacific, perfect for that special seaside moment. The very tastefully woven pavilion provides a welcoming cool refuge from the otherwise unsheltered beach. Interesting space, interesting structure as well, particularly if you take a chance to read about what is intended with it. I liked it more to visit in the evening and although they could have skipped the cheesy music, the light show gives it an extra effect. The stray dogs around in the evening were less my favourite, a recurring problem in more public spaces a bit out of the inhabited parts of Taiwan. Scenic spot. Xiaoyeliu is a picturesque seaside spot that boasts exceptional sandstone formations, a visitor center and multiple trails. This destination is ideal for those who appreciate the beauty of the Pacific Ocean coastline with its unique rocks formed by natural erosion. Scenic spot on the east coast called Little Yeliu Xiaoyeliu. When you arrive at Fugang Geopark go to the visitor center and learn about the ecological evolution of Fugang. I am really amazed in seaside plant and happy to hear the relaxing sound of wave coming from the ocean while walking on the coconut trail. I can hear the chirping of birds. Relaxing quiet atmophere of the mountain forest. You can take a rest in the pavillion and listen to the natural music of the waves. I also enjoy the breathtaking view of dancing ocean with thick layers of sandstone and thin layers of mudstone. There are visitor centers, shop that selling nice souvenirs and delicious different flavors of ice cream, clean restrooms, camping areas, and seaside trail park. Must visit in Taitung County, Taiwan and experience the magnificent landscape created by the changes in the ocean and the erosion of the ocean for thousands of years creating spectacular tofu rocks and honeycomb rocks that attract the attention of travelers like me. If you love natural wonder of nature you will surely enjoy it. Easy to park with parking fee. Great place for sunrise and Milky Way. Fugang geo park is a excellent geo wonder park by the ocean. Good place to break the trip. They only charge 50NT for parking. Rock formations are so unique and beautiful it just out of our imaginations. We want to spend all day just wonder around here. Nice environment but unfortunately not many tourist, there is few shops sell some drinks. Pretty cool place right off the main highway. There's a couple small beaches that have interesting rock formations. There's bathrooms, shops, and plenty of shade. Good place to spend a couple hours during a drive up the east coast. Excellent stop for a great ocean experience with easy walking paths, large clean restrooms, and a variety of shops of local goods. A scenic area that is easily accessible, well planned and wheelchair friendly wooden platforms extended all the way from visitor centre. Wind is strong so is the waves. It may be a bit challenging if one wants to navigate on the uneven rock getting nearer to the raging waves. Wide parking area. Good ambiance. Rock formation is beautiful. A must see geological site in Taitung area. Coastal landforms such as honeycomb weathering, escarpment, weathering of core stones, layers of sedimentary rock and uplifting coral reef stone. Sandstone and shale are common in this area. Erosion and weathering are the major factors forming all the features. Can't miss this great scenic area! There is no shelter on the coast, so be sure to take sun protection measures. Junjun's hat was temporarily bought in the sales area, and it can cover the back of the neck. Like charcoal, walking down the rock-paved path, the beauty of the coastal rocks instantly appears in front of you, and the blue sky is really beautiful. The amazing strange rocks and rocks, after the uplift of the crust and the erosion of the ocean for thousands of years, various beautiful rocks and rocks such as tofu rocks and mushroom rocks have appeared. There are also small pools on the rock. You can observe the ecology of the tidal stream and enjoy the fun of parent-child swimming. Although the weather is hot, the beautiful natural wonders make people feel Resist the heat or visit Meipai! The location is frequented by tourists seeking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the oceanfront along with experiencing unique art installations. The area provides an ideal setting for visitors looking to indulge in picturesque views while exploring artistic elements that complement the surroundings. Amazing view with the blue sky!! This place is just off the High Road and offers scenic view of the sea and nice space to sit in the shade. Oh yes and toilets!!! Good space to let the kids run around not many people. My ocean! Good place for taking picture! Karoran: The origin of the name is said to be the transliteration of kararun, where the Ami people wash their hair. The stone monument from where the place came from also says that the wind is strong and the sun is strong in the summer. The ocean view is amazing here. When I saw the sea view, my pressure was reduced! However, if you would like to visit the place, I suggest to wear a coat since the wind is strong here. I always stop here for a break and a stretch. Today was the windiest I have ever seen it and that was an experience all it's own. There are also artistic objects. I heard that the starry sky is beautiful at night. Public restrooms were pretty clean. As mentioned by others, it is a small scenic park to stop at there is a parking lot if you are on the road between Taitung and Hualien. The view of the ocean and the mountains is quite nice and there is no entry fee. The whole East coast is lovely, so if you are in a rush, I recommend checking all view points on Google Maps in advance in order to choose which one you would like to visit the most as it is actually a long ride between both cities. Nice place to see the ocean. Some artificial photo points for tourist. There is carpark and public toilet here. Came on a rainy day with not much to be seen. Too cloudy. However the art installation was interesting! Many of the art installations are not here anymore but this is still an amazing place to get views of the ocean. Plenty of parking lots and open spaces for pets. One of popular places for stargazing. Many parking spaces and decent public toilets. It was quite the experience watching stars with calming wave sounds in the background. Beautiful outdoor Artistical display Free entrance Plenty of free parking Clean washroom available Excellent view of Pacific Ocean Excellent display items by local Taiwanese artists. My favorite place in hualien :. Amazing oceanside view. Great mountains, rocky beach, high clouds, and blue sky and pacific ocean. You can see the 'Green Island' in the farside horizon in a good-seeing day. A big parking area and public toilet are here. Got some spare time so I just decided to bring some lunch and have it here while watching the ocean and enjoying the wind. It was so relaxing doing nothing but just watching the ocean. Under a 6-minute walk from Railway Art Village, here are a few close by recommendations for when you get hungry exploring around. Tonkatsu restaurant. The Taitung branch of the tonkatsu restaurant, Hinda Ranch, offers consistent high-quality food. Notably, one customer observed a minor water stain on a chair which was promptly wiped away by attentive staff members, demonstrating their excellent service training. Another customer praised the great service received even when arriving close to closing time and commended Jenny for her professionalism. Fun menu for all, kids included! Clean and comfortable environment. Great atmosphere and service. Food is decently tasty. Unlimited rice and veg and drinks. Service is excellent, the server is extremely nice. Food is great for its price, especially when you can also have rice, soup and drink refills. Overall best restaurant experience in Taitung. Amazing tonkatsu!!! Efficient and friendly service, overall tasty food, I recommend this place. Food was generally good, although not spectacular. But for the price that is totally okay. The service was great. I arrived just a short time before closure and they let me order, with a smile. The food was good the fried piece of chicken was crispy. The rice was ok. Thank you for your professionalism, especially Jenny. Very polite staff, food was amazing. Vibe was fine as well. Same standard and quality food here in this branch in Taitung city. One thing worth mention is that my chair had little bit of water stan on it and I wiped it with tissue. The wait staff came right over and offered to wipe down the chair for me. That is good service training. Uncle Pete's Pizza. Pizza restaurant. Uncle Pete's Pizza is a vibrant and cozy spot that offers thin-crust pizza with vegetarian choices, along with a selection of craft beer. The owner, an American who settled in Taitung after coming to surf, has created a renowned pizza destination. Visitors often claim that the quality of the pizza rivals or even surpasses that of larger cities like Taipei or Kaohsiung. We had a wonderful evening at Uncle Pete's. If hearing Bluegrass music in Asia was not enough, there was even a song in Mandarin. In the middle of the evening, a man walked in with two sea urchins. The pizza was great too. I have tried a few more popular, highly rated pizza places in Taitung. This place is tops for me. Excellent pizza and very cool vibe and atmosphere. I crushed an entire pizza while Gangster's Paradise played in the background. Two young pizza chefs cranking out delicious pizza all day. I wish I got a photo with them! Nice thin crust and very cheesy, tastes great! Highly recommend. Really good pizza. We ordered a half 'mulldune'. For two people it might be too small to share, but a whole pizza might be too much. I definitely would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the staff who seemed very unhappy and not very welcoming. The interior is quirky, but not very big. Over all it wasn't bad but the pizza dough tasted like it was maybe frozen and also I found ants on the table. Great food, friendly staff, awesome experience. Best pizza in Taitung. The evening pizza Cafe, runed by few young entrepreneurs, The best pizza we ever had in taitung, The pizza was so delicious and with so many flavor could choose that we even visited the pizza shop twice in the same day! Lonely Planet recommends and we agree. We had a lovely evening with wine, beer, organic salad and pizza - and a fun chat with the charismatic owner and his family. The pizza is delicious. We ordered 4 different pizzas, each half sized. Enough for 4 girls! All of them are rich and yumz!! Highly recommend! Small Pizzaria with decent pizza and a decent selection of items on their menu. The seating was a bit cramped and the staff turned off the music when they were finished making pizzas, which left the ambiance quite lacking. Overall the pizzas were just OK, but certainly nothing to write home about and definitely not the best pizza in Taitung. The beer menu was quite limited. A chilled atmosphere with warm decor. Our pizza pepperoni, breft, jalapenos was tasty, with a thin, soft crust and adequate topping. Great atmosphere, staff were super nice, good pizza, great beer! Really nice pizza. Amazing thin dough and nice topping. Taitung big wheels Japanese Restaurant. Authentic Japanese restaurant. Japanese restaurant. Taitung big wheels Japanese Restaurant in Taitung City is a highly recommended dining option that offers authentic Japanese cuisine. With favorites like sushi, sashimi, and other traditional dishes, this restaurant provides a great culinary experience. The food is of high quality and the service is commendable. While the prices may be slightly higher compared to other establishments in Taitung, the authenticity and delicious flavors make it worth it. I have always enjoyed dining in this restaurant. Great foods and good service! Can't really find any of the kinds in Taitung. I highly recommend you and your friends consider this restaurant when you visit Taitung. Meals come out extremely late!!! We came at 7 pm and finished at ! The services are okay, but the food does not meet the quality. Food are too expensive yet not that high quality! Will not come next time! Authentic Japanese food, but a bit pricey. Although the price is high, sashimi was not fresh at all. Ordered sushi set menu and beef. Sashimi on sushi were all dried and tasteless. And the beef alone came 20 min later after we completed our set menu. Not worth it. Sushi was ok, service friendly. But portions were very small and prices very high. I guess we were charged foreigner prices - this was more expensive than Morimoto New York! I wouldn't go again Interestingly-decorated Japanese restaurant with a variety of set meals and single-order items. We ordered two set meals kimchi pork and salted grilled fish. Each set meal came with a bowl of soup, rice, seared tuna sashimi, and small sides. Be aware that there is no elevator to the 2nd floor, where the bathrooms are located. Cute decor and food was pretty good. Seafood restaurant. It offers a variety of group dishes and affordable snacks that showcase the best of local seafood. The restaurant's terrace provides a relaxed and casual atmosphere for diners to enjoy their meals. The food is both delicious and reasonably priced, making it a popular choice among customers. Nice and delicious food. Very enthusiastic people that flags you to the restaurant. Food is good and cheap. They even peeled the skins of the stems of the sweet potatoe leaves leaving it so crunchy and delicious. I said I had an allergy to onion and garlic. They said okay we won't use them to cook. Then what do we find? Garlic and onion in the steamed fish. We ask them to redo the dish, they say okay and then again they leave a piece of onion and I even started to eat it and couldn't breathe well afterwards and they even wanted to make us pay the price of the fish! At the end they were lucky that we paid the other dishes and not the fish however we shouldn't pay even one dish after they make me have an allergy. One of the worse service ever seen! Photo is the second time we got the fish Sashimi and clams not that fresh too! Actually not bad. This place is a good place for locals but not tourists. Know how to speak Mandarin to order. Lots of parking. Good seafood. Fish roe salad, sashimi, braised mambo, fish fried noodles are delicious. Not good quality, poor CP. Foods are fresh, but tasted bad. For day 2, we recommend exploring the east side side of town. Start the day off with Taidong Guanguang Night Market, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Pipa Lake. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun. Night market. Taitung Night Market is a small but diverse marketplace where visitors can find various snacks such as rice cakes, noodle soup, and cream puffs. The highlight of the market is the steak, omelette, and smelly tofu stall in the middle. Custard apple is a local favorite that tastes incredibly sweet and comes at an affordable price. It was a unique night market, which most of stalls are selling local food. It would be good for non Taiwanese to make their order if they put on English menu too. I actually want to try many different foods but no idea what and how to order. The night market is well connected to public transportation and it is 2 km apart from the Taitung rail station. The night market has several outlets for nonvegetarian foods and a little for vegetarian lovers. The night market is a little small and which makes it crowded but it is free from scooters or cars passing. The food is available at affordable prices and seafood is recommended. Very narrow walking lane with lots of tourists. Tried a few stalls, nothing stood out. Mediocre night market. Compared to Raohe night market, you can said it is smaller in scale. However, it has most of the food variety which you normally find in night market. And it seemed Taitung folks really like Western food on grill a lot and it has long queue. No better place to spend your Chinese New Year's eve when you're travelling! Crowded on a Saturday evening. Smelly tofu with herbal soup was really hearty and comforting, which was perfect for a cold rainy day. There were also pork chop and the usual oyster omelette. Small night market but the food variety are good thou. The biggest stall in the night market here is the steak, omelette and smelly tofu stall in the middle. Taitung is famous for their Custard apple. Their custard Apple taste very sweet. Price is definitely cheaper. The night market have one stall selling dessert. Their egg tart and cream puff taste quite good thou. If you are looking for varieties of food stalls with local delights, this is the go to place. This market is quite similar to the others in Taipei. A shame that the big intestines noodles was not cut into short strand to eat with spoon. I liked this market more than the one in Hualien. There's outdoor seatings available, though they might be specific to certain stalls. Lots of games, the feeling is quite festive. This fried rice noodles stall is very clean and hygienic looking. And Stinky Tofu stall that's very crispy. A good night market as there are plenty of seats to eat-in. There are also rubbish bins provided along the market, in every stall and wash basins in some stalls. Layout in the middle of the street with seating area in the center. Traffic flow is pretty good. Vendors are mostly food. A lot of food, game small stalls at this night market. It is packed with people. An interesting place to experience the atmosphere. Nice night market with a good variety of food. Not the best feeling as you walk through the market! There are a variety of foods, activities and drinks, but the hygiene might prevent you from enjoying this diverse options also the smell and the noise make you rush to get out. It would be a good time for someone to explore another side of the city and adventure street food with a bit of a risk to your stomach! Great food - very affordable - totally enjoyable! Amazing night market with a huge variety of food. We had pork ribs, takoyaki, kimchee burger, Spanish pork burrito, guava, fried squid, and pearl milk tea!! So many stalks with different options and we could smell the stinky tofu from a block away. Open on a Thursday evening. Night market is a must visit place if you are in Taitung and Taiwan in general, no questions asked. Taitung night market is not as big as I expected but still good place to have local snacks. PX mart and Carrefour are nearby. Apparently they do not open on Sunday? Warehouse store. Carrefour Taitung Store, located at Jhengci Rd in downtown Taitung, is a large hypermarket that serves as both a grocery store and department store. With its extensive range of products, it caters to various daily needs and boasts the best selection of imported food and drinks in the area. The store offers free underground parking for customers' convenience, though they may need to wait for the attendant's signal before proceeding due to one-way traffic control. When one needs a home-grown shopping experience, come to Carrefour. Clean and organized. Grocery store and department store all in one. Has free underground parking. You have to wait before going up or down the ramp for the attendant to give the all clear because it is one direction at a time. Prices seem comparable to other stores. They accept my foreign credit card for all payments. There is a sushi shop at the exit. This is our usual shopping destination in Taitung. The collection of canned and preserved foods is impressive. I was able to get good stuffs that other Carrefour branches do not carry. However, the store layout is kinda confusing. I had to go back to the entrance to get one. Amazing variety of groceries n even take-aways. The staff was very helpful, store was clean and had a lot of choices! Big but the checkout person didn't know how to price the fruit A supermarket in the city center. It's very easy to get to for people who stay in Taitung city. Difficult to park but a good place to buy needed items. Art center. Art gallery. Art museum. Show 3 more. The collection features professional artworks that offer a delightful visual experience. Moreover, the center regularly updates its displays to ensure visitors encounter fresh and captivating pieces. Very nice. Translated by Google The study room was still in the basement in the days of the social education hall. Old but a good environment Now the study room is next to the main road And the space is much smaller than before The traffic is really loud No wonder no one came pretty dumbfounded Didn't you think about it when planning? This is a very good exhibition environment. It is located next to the Taitung County Government and has a unique transportation environment, but few people know about it. Translated by Google Located in the center of Taitung City, opposite the Taitung County Government, it has an elegant and sober appearance. It has an exclusive parking lot and often has various exhibitions open to the public for appreciation. It also offers some courses for Taitung citizens to learn from. Translated by Google The exhibition is always updated, and you can see 20 professional works a year. Translated by Google It was already five o'clock when I went there, the air conditioner was on and it was very cool, and the service staff were also very kind!! There are paintings and calligraphy inside. At least you can escape the heat!!! Liyushan Park, situated on a mountain, derives its name from a fish legend. This park boasts well-maintained paved trails that offer mesmerizing panoramic views. The trail might be a little steep in some parts, but it is relatively easy to navigate overall. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere and take in the beauty of the ocean along with various shades of blue visible from the top. I came for the temples but found lots of old people dancing in the park. So many old people. Why does Taitung have so many old people? Some of the viewing points were closed for seemingly the next few months, so be prepared for that. Scenic place. Be prepared to climb steps n you will be rewarded with good view. There are locals exercising n dancing to music. There is daily farmers market too. Steps steps steps steps. Felt that this park is a little underwhelming. There were a lot of little flies flying around too. Nice and peaceful place to visit. You can also get a view point where you can easily locate Rail Art Museum and a beautiful market. Far away, you can also see ocean and one side and mountains on the other. Fantastic view at the top with ocean view. The ocean is beautiful at taitung! With different kinds of blues! We entered from the little lane of the west side of park. The entrance is somewhere along the little lane. Wish there's clearer sign. Part of trail is a bit steep. Other than that it's pretty easy trail. It isn't long either. Don't skip it shen you come here. Great for morning exercise, see the view of City wide. Watch out for wild dogs. It's a very small hill close to the railway art village. It takes no more than 15 minutes to reach the first view point. You get view of Taitung but it's not particularly exciting. We spent 20 mins in total for a round trip. Children's Museums. Taitung City, located on the southeast coast of Taiwan, is a destination rich in history and natural beauty. The Peinan Cultural Park showcases Neolithic slate coffins and relics such as pottery and jade stones at the National Museum of Prehistory. Taitung Forest Park offers a serene escape with its lush greenery, lakes, and diverse wildlife. To explore the region conveniently, travelers can utilize the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle for easy access to popular attractions. Taitung Art Museum is a small yet modern building that houses art exhibitions, a cafe, and outdoor installations. The museum offers free admission and has helpful staff who create a welcoming atmosphere. It features indoor air conditioning and clean washrooms for visitors' comfort. While the indoor exhibition spaces are limited, the museum compensates with ample outdoor activities suitable for children. The content primarily showcases indigenous artists' works, making it an interesting visit for art enthusiasts. This is not one of those places, and for that it deserves our praise. In as little as 10 minutes, you can experience all that Taitung Art Museum has to offer. It may just change your life. Side note—there are some really cool wooden structures outside you can climb on. Definitely worth a visit. We really had great time here during the design week. The beautiful installation to show case artists works like wonder. Museum is small, but perfect for solo show. Love the light and architecture. Free admission to the museum. However, the museum is pretty small, as there are only two modestly-sized galleries. The content was great, as it was showcasing indigenous artists. However, I would hesitate to recommend going out of your way to visit this museum unless you're aware this is a small museum. A small gallery. But very comfortable and well-maintained. Two air-conditioned exhibition halls connecting each other. Sometimes the exhibition is quite interesting. A restaurant in the front but kind of expensive. The museum exhibit hall was closed the day we visited but the surroundings with the trees connected with wooden boardwalks were simply amazing! The restaurant is another plus! Taitung Art Museum is not worth one dollar. They should let people enter for free. There is only one exhibition, two rooms and they charge way too much. Taitung Art Museum has a large area with lots of outdoor activities which make up for the not many indoor exhibition spaces. This is a place worth for visit and great for local to hangout and enjoy their free time. The museum is closed on Monday and open 9AM — 5PM from Tuesday to Sunday, but the green space outside is open for everyone all year round. Disappointing lack of volume and collection but ingenious architectural inputs and public art. Unlucky, there was no exhibition and shop that could offer service. Beautifully renovated old police headquarters now converted into the modern art museum, already open while the new one is being constructed. The spaces and the architecture are lovely done. The collection is somewhat small and not always as interesting. There are many volunteers around who love to engage in a chat with you. Siwei Night Market is a bustling and lively destination that only opens on Sundays. The streets are lined with vendors selling an array of delicious food including fried chicken and pork ribs, as well as various toys and games. Visitors should not miss out on the opportunity to experience this vibrant night market filled with sights, sounds, and smells that are sure to leave a lasting impression. It is quite big and full of nice local food. We went there at 6 and it is already in full swing. Really love the prawn cracker, thou its a bit on the pricey side. Very few vendors when we were there last Sunday maybe because it was slightly raining that night. Much more exciting and authentic feeling than taipei's. Food food, endless stall of food. Must try the donut. Night market seems less busy than other places, maybe because of the pandemic. I enjoyed walking around and look at what they have. We ended up have some food and dessert, which is yummy. Opens only on Sundays!! Selection wasn't all great, and a lot of vendors started tearing down even before 10pm. There were lots of different carnival games though! One ice cream soft serve vendor sold us a strawberry and vanilla cone which was about half the size shown in the display. When pressed on it, the boss man said that the picture is displaying a bigger cone so that customers could see it better Also, this may be common sense to many One of us got food poisoning the next day from this. Definitely a rustic and mobile market. Has various food options like hot plates steak, chicken, pork; braised pork rib, mutton; deep fried chicken; cold chicken. Only opens on Sunday. Fried food of all kinds!! Worth the walk through and play games if the kids are excited or you need a break to eat and chat with your friends or family! Night market held every Sunday This is one of the biggest night market in Taitung Believe they are simply moving place to place in Taitung, many stands are duplicated Nothing much attractive, no creativity, hygiene needed to improvements. Bodies of Water. Pipa Lake is a serene area located within Taitung Forest Park that offers visitors a viewing platform and bike trails to enjoy. Translated by Google Great place for walking and cycling Very relaxing! Translated by Google Taitung City is a very popular sports and leisure forest park. In particular, Pipa Lake is a photo-taking spot for Internet beauty. The resting pavilion next to the lake has become a resting space to escape the hot summer. The cicadas and birds are constantly chirping. The natural sounds of nature make you feel great! Translated by Google Taitung Forest Park has three lakes, namely 'Pipa Lake' formed by underground springs, 'Egret Lake' which was originally a swamp wetland and was renovated, and the artificially constructed 'Living Water Lake' that can host various water and Ironman competition activities. Among them, Lake Biwa, with its crystal clear water, ripples on the lake surface in the breeze. The water surface reflects the surrounding green forests, blue sky and white clouds. The picturesque scenery is a must-take photo spot for travelers here. Information: Taitung Tourism Bureau Translated by Google The bright sun is perfect for taking pictures, but it's a long way to get here by bicycle. Elderly people recommend renting an electric one, which is faster and won't be too hot. By chance, all public facilities including toilets are closed for maintenance construction. See the notice board for the time It is extremely inconvenient for travelers. It is recommended to do some homework here. It is best to choose a time in the morning or evening or when the weather is cool. You must also rent a bicycle and ride it for yuan for two hours. Translated by Google It's a great place for walking, relaxing and riding a bicycle. Not only is the vegetation in good condition, but the overall bicycle route is also perfect. You can ride along the lakeside to enjoy the beautiful lake. Translated by Google The accommodation is very close to Lake Biwa. You can rent bicycles. We chose to walk, and the air and weather were very comfortable! Translated by Google Take a photo here and you can become the character in the painting. Even the most seasoned adventurers need a break to chow down some food. Close to Carrefour Taitung Store, these restaurants are about a 1-minute walk away. Cantonese restaurant. They ordered the Roasted Duck meal set lunch, which allowed them to choose from five out of eight options. Overall, they rated their experience positively, giving scores of 4 for food quality, value, presentation, and tastiness. The service was good. The restaurant is clean, including the toilet. Some food were delicious but there are some which I think are a bit too salty for my taste. I suggest that they make their menu more simple. Translated by Google The last stop of the tour in Taitung, there was an appointment in advance for one duck and five meals. Four people ate and finally packed them home. Although the question-and-answer period was short, it was uncomfortable to look people up and down Make an appointment for a little meal, we will finish the order quickly However, our Hong Kong point does not serve food until , and even the last dish is at 59 minutes Shop closes at , music stops at It's ok for the food to be slow, but it makes people feel like they're rushing customers and it's outrageous —————————————————————— It's the first time to dine at Guitian Chinese Restaurant Although the roast duck is beautifully roasted, the staff who serve it do not feel like professional chefs The size and thickness of the duck slices vary you can see the difference from the picture , and some of them only taste like vinegared rice, and if there is more, it will be sour. Some are full of duck fat and very fragrant, and the rice is cooked with distinct grains The same goes for duck burritos, which should be a delicious meal, but some are too thick to bite into, and some are too little like eating crust You need to check it before you eat it so that you will not be scared by the sudden rush of star anise. Translated by Google The chicken legs in the clam and pork ribs soup are completely cooked. The ingredients of a grand restaurant are mind-boggling. The prawns and flossed shrimps are soaked in potion. Super good. After the duck is topped with mellow and sweet 'Bamboo Leaf Green Wine' and roasted over a flame, the skin of the duck becomes even more shiny and crispy. Translated by Google In the restaurant on the second floor of Guitian Hotel, you can park in the parking lot attached to the hotel. Please report to the counter before leaving. Translated by Google The duck meat in the duck soup had a 1cm-sized piece of glass. After biting it into pieces, I discovered that I asked the service staff to come over and quickly take away the duck meat with the defective glass. Finally, a new duck meat soup was served! That's it, that's it! No supervisor cared about whether there were any injuries. I thought they would explain it when I checked out, so I just pretended that nothing happened! Is this what restaurant management should do? Forget about roadside stalls or small restaurants, the restaurant in Guitian Hotel is also of the same standard. Just because I was lucky and didn't hurt my mouth? In fact, some very small fragments were eaten, and it might not be a big deal. Really bad crisis management! Translated by Google Ordered a whole table of mixed dishes, but the taste was generally not outstanding. The atmosphere is good for family dinners. Translated by Google We ordered the whole table's dishes, and every dish was delicious, especially the stewed soup. You can tell that the chef's skills are superb and everyone in the family is satisfied. The roast duck was a bit average, but still average. Translated by Google There is not much problem with the taste of the food, but the service quality really needs to be improved. The food delivery is very slow. Translated by Google Probably nothing to eat at a high-end restaurant This time I had a good meal and it felt great. The duck food is actually quite delicious. The quicksand buns and pumpkin rice noodles are also recommended As for the rest, it's quite satisfactory. Translated by Google Even two people ordered roast duck for five! Thumbs up for the excellent service! The roast duck is really delicious, and the osmanthus sauce goes well with it. When eating shrimp rice rolls, I always think of the Cantonese rice rolls in the night market downstairs. It was my first time to eat rice rolls with separate skin and fillings. Those who have never eaten before can go to the night market to try it out. The shark fin soup is delicious as usual. Blue Dragonfly Fried Chicken. Fast food restaurant. Blue Dragonfly Fried Chicken is a popular fast food spot in Taitung, known for its unpretentious atmosphere and delicious fried chicken. It's considered an institution in the area, with many locals having their first taste of local fast food there before big chains arrived. The hot, fragrant, and tenderly fried chicken and french fries set is affordable and offers a refreshing alternative to typical fast food joints. Loved the Fried Chicken Here! Very Tasty! The fries were very good too. Friendly Staff! Chicken burger tastes alright. Nothing special. We also order some chips, chicken pieces and potato balls. Staff was helpful and easy to deal with. A good 15 mins waiting due to the queue. Overall I think this is a alright place to eat, especially when you kid only wants some chips French fries and tomato sauce. The one and only famous fried chicken which is located in Taitung. Highly recommended by the locals too. I decided to go and give it a try. The queue was alright when I arrived so I didn't wait too long to get my food. The fried chicken was good to be honest. And I was quite impressed. Even better than KFC. Friendly staff. The price is pretty standard. Overall it is good. Finger licking good. The friend chicken originated from Taitung region. It has a blue coloured dragon fly theme and serve predominantly friend chicken and burgers. There are other meat options too such as pork. The friend chicken tasted like original KFC batter but tasted stronger and more fragrant. The burger has no taste of meat on the bites, could be the patty is thin. A worthwhile place to go for fast food in Taitung. A well-known fast food restaurant in Taitung. The famous local place with fried chicken. I have been there a few years ago, the place has a retro character and it was not as crowded as it is now. Also, after the renovation it looks modern but it lost the vintage feel. Also, the number of customers and the waiting time for the meal became a bit ridiculous. The stuff are polite. The food itself is OK but nothing great in my opinion. The chicken is heavily seasoned and greasy, the hamburger proper with a sweet sauce, the fries are really good. Overall, I'd say this place has turned into a tourist trap. If you are aware of it and still want to go, then it's fine. If you expect a culinary treat, you will most likely be disappointed. One of the best fried chicken I ever had!! The smell and taste was so good. Try to avoid peak hours as the queue can take quite a while. Queued for close to 20mins during lunch time. Despite no queue, Chicken and fries are cold. Like they look sick. Most of the menu is translated into English if you need that. I got the first combo on the menu. You can choose the meat on your burger. My beef burger tasted good but it had too much sweet sauce on it. Some of the pieces of chicken were inedible. Saw some good reviews do wanted to try it out as I love my fried chicken! A good min wait due to the queue, but the food is made fresh and it looks like its a family business. I liked the chicken, as it was crispy and flavourful. Decide for yourself if you have the time to try it. Skip skip skip, good customer service and readily available fried chicken but not half as good as Ahong nearby. We got the same exact meal with a chicken wing, leg, chicken pieces, And a drink here. It's fine but too bad we had Ahong already so this just pales in comparison. The herbs were not as good and it was a struggle to finish. Then the chicken sandwich was really bad. It's not actual fried chicken, but a ground chicken patty. Taiwan-style fried chicken and burgers, not a juicy type, but it is tasty though. Dining area is clean. Ning Ji Hot Pot Restaurant. Hot pot restaurant. Mala hotpot are very tasty and spicy.. We are Tourist from Singapore, do take note that this restaurant is hiding behide the main road shop-lets, access through a side lane in between shops! Good soup. Translated by Google The soup is nothing to say! A great place for a dinner party you can eat a few more things! Translated by Google The service staff at the duck blood tofu hotpot will proactively help refill it. It is also very delicious and the meat plate is generously sized. Dessert is sago, which is delicious. There is an iron horse track next to it. You can take a walk before leaving after you are full. Pizza Takeout. Pizza delivery. This is the beef sandwich. It is basically all bread with a very little bit of stuff inside. It is very disappointing. If they filled the sandwich like a normal sandwich should be filled, I would be satisfied. Pizzen schmecken sehr lasch, leider ist es schwer in Englisch zu bestellen. Preis ist zu hoch. Translated by Google Pizzas taste very weak, unfortunately it is difficult to order in English. Price is too high. My order was ready, but the monitor still showed my order as being in preparation. Waited outside an extra 20 minutes. Ok very good. Translated by Google I ordered a Father's Day pizza. I originally ordered it to be picked up at 6pm. When I arrived, I found it was full of people. I asked the clerk and said that the order was too large and I had to wait a moment. But if I couldn't make the order, I should close online and on-site ordering. Translated by Google Participate in the little pizza master experience. Translated by Google The clerk's service is great! He is very gentle and kind to children! Translated by Google I picked up my meal at on May 1, The two pizzas were very different from the advertising pictures and had much less ingredients. Translated by Google The long-awaited little store manager experience event. Thank you to the store manager and sister for their kind guidance throughout the process. The process introduction is concise and clear, making the process smooth and interesting. Best-of categories in Taitung City. See all. Browse categories.
