Elementalist Lux is an ultimate skin, just like Pulsefire Ezreal, Spirit Guard Udyr, and DJ Sona. This means it’ll be sold in the store for 3250 RP (with a Master Edition available with exclusive icons and ward for 3950 RP). While ultimate skins come with a higher price tag, these skins offer up an intensely reimagined version of the champion that adds something completely brand new to the game.
While the Elemental nature of this Lux skin may feel ephemeral, rest assured there is no intention of removing this skin from the store in the forseeable future. However the special Elementalist Icon and Elemental Origin Border set will only be available on purchases made before December 13, 2016 at 23:59 Pacific Time. The Master Elementalist Edition (with exclusive icons and ward) is also a regular addition to our store and we have no plans for it to go away.
The purchase of Elementalist Lux by itself comes with five special icons. If you purchase Elementalist Lux before December 13, 2016 at 23:59 Pacific Time you will also get a special Elementalist Icon and Elemental Origin Border set. Finally the Master Elementalist Lux bundle includes all the previously listed content as well as an additional five exclusive icons and the Elementalist Ward.
Elementalist Lux starts every match in her Light form. As she gains Elemental Power from hitting enemy champions with a spell (using her Q, E, or R abilities) she will reach a power level that will let her transform. Using the radial option over Lux's portrait you can select an elemental form to transform into!
Each time an enemy is hit with a spell from Elementalist Lux, sparkles will appear around Lux to indicate a gain of Elemental Power. After a given number of transformations the gains will stop and no more sparkles will appear.
Lux can transform up to twice per game. Her first transformation will be to the element you select. The second form is determined based on which two elements have been selected, in combination. Once Lux reaches her second form, no more Elemental Power can be accumulated.
Now that would be telling! We encourage players to experiment with the various elements to see what the final results are.
