I absolutely love this place. The food is delicious and comes out quick. Nothing fancy, but the food was great! Lots of locals were eating there too. I would definitely go back again.
The focus at this establishment is on the food and the price... is extremely reasonable. Nothing fancy, just great food in a bright friendly atmosphere at great prices. More
I absolutely love this place. The food is delicious and comes out quick. Yummy homemade salsas. Just disappointed that the staff is now asking for tips when you pay. 😑
My husband and I ate here after the Extreme Adventure Park recommended it. Nothing fancy, but the food was great! Lots of locals were eating there too. I would definitely go back again.
We stopped after a long days drive. It was packed with locals, many having the menudo (weekends only). I had 2 chili rellenos. They were the best I’ve ever eaten, and only $4.99 each. The menu is huge, with all the orders coming from the... kitchen looking fabulous.
Order at the counter. Plastic plates and utensils. Bus your own table. Nothing fancy, just great food in a bright friendly atmosphere at great prices. More
I stopped in here based upon a friend’s recommendation.
I ordered 4 carne asada tacos “to go”.
The girl at the counter was very friendly. They also had a very large salsa bar, so I loaded up a few small plastic containers with their “hot”... salsa and after only waiting about ten minutes or so, I received my order and headed home to enjoy this meal.

Now I may sound rather picky when it comes to my Mexican food (and I am), but I grew up in Southern California and have lived in many areas with a high hispanic population, not to mention having made numerous trips to Mexico, so I KNOW what good Mexican food is supposed to taste like and I have become somewhat spoiled in this sense.

When I got home and opened the styrofoam container my meal came in, I was looking at 4 tacos and each taco was wrapped in 2 cold flour tortillas. My mistake for not verifying I wanted my tacos in a crunchy corn tortilla I guess, even though the girl at the counter never gave me the option. Oh well, I have had good soft tacos before as well, so I didn’t think too much of it, although having them each wrapped in two very thick flour tortillas did seem a bit much. The contents of these tacos only contained 3 ingredients; chopped steak (carne asada), cilantro, and a couple of small pieces of diced onion. None of the crumbly white Mexican cheese that you usually see on traditional Mexican tacos or anything else, but they still looked good enough. I then proceeded to dump some of their “hot” salsa on each taco and took my first bite.

I can sum up the taste in three words; bland, bland, bland! Where were the spices? Where was the heat? Carne asada is supposed to be seasoned steak, but it was obvious that this meat was purely cooked and then chopped up with no spices whatsoever. I guessed that I could have gone to the store and bought a steak and cooked it, chopped it up and thrown some of it in a flour tortilla with a bunch of cilantro and a little bit of diced onion and it would have tasted exactly the same.

I was very disappointed! To sum it up, it tasted like the whitest white person in the world made these tacos. No flavor whatsoever, and their salsa didn’t help. It was as bland as well. Taco Bell tacos would have tasted better than this.

I have been living the last year in Montana where there is no such thing as good, traditional Mexican food and I was really looking forward to coming back to Arizona for a good Mexican meal. I am guessing I should have headed further south towards Phoenix and stayed away from Flagstaff, where they are obviously catering to your average American tastebuds and nothing close to traditional Mexican food.

I give this restaurant and meal an “average” rating based purely on the service, price, and presentation (the tacos did look good after all). Had I been leaving a review based upon taste alone, I would have given it a “poor” rating. More
Stopped here on way home from Grand Canyon. Great review on Yelp so we tried it. Glad we did. Carne asada burrito was huge, made with beef slices and not ground beef. Salsa bar had a good variety. Free refills on soda. Definitely recommend this... restaurant. More
We decided to go after our grandsons game for a quick dinner. We had not been to the restaurant since they have remodeled. It is very clean and comfortable. We ordered our usual meal of three rolled tacos. It was not as good as it... was before. The tacos seamed to be the same as the frozen ones you can buy at Sams club. Service was good. May be we
Need to try something else next time to be fair. They are busy all the time More
Called in as we were at the Days Inn nearby. The server was friendly and helpful, the food was quickly served and very reasonably priced. I reccomend the carne assada fries, not exactly authentic but really good.
Best fast food Mexican restaurant in Flagstaff. One of the best breakfast burritos as well. Staff is friendly and always helpful. Never had a bad experience here.
We are always looking for amazing food places. This is one of my favorites. Authentic flavors and a large quantity of choices. Love the salsa bar!
My go to place for fast good food. Rolled tacos, mini tacos and the standards. Freshly prepared to order. And the flan is great!
We were referred to this place by the front desk lady. We ordered the Carne asada burrito, 2 chicken chimi platters with rice and beans, and the chicken tacos. We also got chips, salsa and guacamole. I loved the spicey salsa, but they added red... onion to the guac so I didnt eat it. Its a good thing too because it gave the boys bad gas pains all night. Good thing the room had a window and good circulation so it could air out. It was $53 for the four of us to have dinner here. So real good value for your money. The picture on the wall looked like a relative of mine. More
We asked the front desk of the Country Inn where there was a good place to eat. They mentioned 2 taco places. I checked the TripAdvisor reviews and we ended up here. We were not disappointed!
I got the number 13 churizzo sausage combo. The... food came out hot and fresh. The tortilla that came with mine was freshly made and not some store bought commercially made crap. The pork churizzo was shredded pork! Very good sized portions. More
May be we did not order right dishes, but our food was not very good, portions were small and service was quite average. We probably would not go there again. One of the Mexican fast food places down the road was much better...
They have a good variety of food and a condiment bar so you can choose how spicy you like. Portions are generous so plenty to satisfy a hungry teenager.

Great tacos. I got carnitas and shrimp. Both hit the spot! Really appreciate the young man who took our order. So courteous and efficient. Must be the product of good parenting and a good store manager. Kudos to all!
We were staying in a local hotel and saw that this place had great reviews, so we had to try it. We thought most of the food was pretty good, but some of the sauces were strange. We love tacos and salsa, though, so we tired everything we could. The reason for the low stars is that my son got food poisoning the next day. He was the only one who ate the fish tacos (not sure if it was the fish or the sauce, which looked like it could have ingredients that suffer from sitting out too long). It makes me wonder about their cooking and cleaning practices. The place wasn't particularly clean, but there also weren't any red flags. I'd be careful eating here.
Man I love TLA. The agua frescas are killer. Breakfast burritos are totally worth the money; just need to use salsa. I personally like my Mexican food more salty and some times I have to add just a tiny bit. The beans are great. The Al pastor torta delicious. The food is consistently good. I just wish they were open later.
The only reason I can think of why folks haven't rated this place higher is because they don't want word to get out. Recommended to me by residents, I was buzzing after my meal. Fantastic rice and beans. Loved my chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Too much sugar in the aguas frescos for me, but forgot all about it once I moved on to the amazing flan! Will return as soon as possible.
Both The Tacos de Asada and Adobada, served up with some HOT red salsa were FIRE! Then the chicken on their nachos... grilled and shredded to perfection You can't go wrong stopping here on your road trip through AZ on the 40 hwy.
I'm helping my brother-in-law move to Kansas City from Phoenix. While passing through Flagstaff, just by chance we stumbled across this restaurant. We were so close to eating at Jack-in-the-Box but when I pulled this restaurant up and saw it had four star review on yelp, I couldn't resist. We gave it a try and holy smokes! So delicious! That Carne Asada french fry is no joke! You must try it! I highly recommend this restaurant even if it means you go out of your way to get here. And the staff is extremely friendly! Five star review hands-down!
Good burrito de Tripas... big tortilla but short on size. Still delicious tho. Close to the Holiday KOA in flagstaff. A bit surprised at the total price for two burritos and two tacos. Right on Rt66 and 40freeway
Poor customer service. Such a petty experience. Ordered two meals with a large water. After paying and tipping, they did not give us our water. Informed them we ordered a large water but had not received it. He then proceeded to inform me it was a dollar for a large and it was not on the bill so he couldn't give us one. After this whole thing he gave us a small styrofoam cup of water. So petty. We ordered the water, you made the mistake. Come on.
Tacos tacos tacos When I come to town I always grab tacos at TLA. Oh the carne and adobado are my favorite. I love the red hot sauce as well. The super nachos are like the best taco salad ever. If you don't deserve it? Who does? Try Tacos Los Altos for some great fast Mexican food.
Our breakfast burrito go to on the Eastside. Taco salads are amazing! Decent prices and friendly staff.

My friend and I have been going to Martha & Bros next door to this place for years and sadly we just started coming in here for breakfast about 2 months ago. Now, I'm addicted! The breakfast tacos and breakfast nachos are my absolute favs. They do not skimp you on ingredients at all and the pickled onions and jalapeños on top are so good. This place also makes fresh pressed juices. Service is always on point and they are very accommodating (if you ever bring a picky friend).
Doesn't look like much when you walk by, i almost missed it but I'm so happy i came in. Food is very fresh and i had 3 carne asada tacos- and i am usually VERY picky about the meat and they delivered. Very fresh and authentic. If the tacos were this good i can only imagine everything else! Definitely coming back and very happy i walked in. Worth checking out for sure.
I need to update my old review. We have become big fans of Taco Los Altos - especially their breakfast tacos and veggie burritos! Tasty food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. We've picked up lunch to go from Taco Los Altos two days in row. Yesterday, I got their breakfast tacos, which have eggs and chorizo - they are delicious! Today, I got the veggie burrito with chicken added - this has become my go to item here, and it is fresh, flavorful, and healthy. I love the fact that the veggie burrito comes with grilled vegetables (a mix of bell pepper, zucchini, broccoli, onions, etc.). I get it on a whole wheat tortilla, with black beans, and no rice. It's great! The staff is friendly, and if you go when it's not busy, the food is ready for pick up within 10 minutes. I appreciated being able to pay by Apple Pay, and also appreciated the fact they had a "no touch" hand sanitizer dispenser next to the register. This is a great place in the neighborhood for good, low key meals!
We popped in for a late lunch and enjoyed decent tacos, good service, and a casual setting. The tacos taste reasonably good, are a good size, and are well-priced. We would have preferred more salsa on the tacos, however - they were a bit dry. Also, when asked if we wanted chips and salsa, we didn't realize there was an additional charge - we expected them to be complimentary, like many Mexican restaurants.
