Company History

TACNA, which was founded in 1983 as one of the first shelters in Mexico’s Baja California region, has been providing aid to hurricane evacuees since then. The firm expanded gradually over time, with a focus on its founding ideals of personalized service and trust.

In 2003, Ross Baldwin joined TACNA as Chief Operating Officer and acquired a 50 percent share of the firm. During his 22-year professional business career at Arthur Andersen, where he was an audit, consulting, and office managing partner, Ross brought considerable expertise and knowledge of professional service methods to TAC Navy. In 2006, after establishing a firm foothold in Baja California, Mexico, Ross purchased the company and took on the position of CEO. TACNA has earned a stellar reputation among its customers for openness and personalized, professional service, as well as an excellent track record with government agencies in compliance. Today TACNA is one of the biggest and most successful companies in the Baja California branch of Mexico’s Shelter Services industry.

Shelter Services

TACNA is a ISO 9001:2015 certified professional shelter company that assists businesses in relocation and navigating the intricacies of doing business in Mexico. Since 1983, it has assisted firms in establishing and running border region Mexico manufacturing facilities from its headquarters in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico.

Business Process Outsourcing

TACNA, through its subsidiary TAC LLC, develops and manages a range of technology-related businesses including business process outsourcing, machine learning, teleoperation, and artificial intelligence. With each project, the goal is to take a leadership role in developing cutting-edge technology that emphasizes security and flexibility. TACNA’s BPO division has more than 800 employees.

Manufacturing Divisions

TACNA, a multinational corporation, has two manufacturing firms in Mexico with over 200 full-time workers. These two manufacturing divisions have been owned an operated by TACNA since 2003. A variety of materials are used to make items such as electronic components, transformers, electro-mechanical assemblies, switches, and high temperature silicone hoses.
