There's more battle in this manga than what I'd usually read, but it is interesting enough that I could see myself picking up another.

After a slight rethreading of the narrative's pacing, and a slight recasting of its secondary characters, TABOO TATTOO , though not wholly engaging, still manages to keep one's interest. After a slight rethreading of the narrative's pacing, and a slight recasting of its secondary characters, TABOO TATTOO , though not wholly engaging, still manages to keep one's interest. The trick to enjoying a shounen manga that doesn't do anything new with its genre of choice is to debate whether the author and artist's technical skills merit commendation for weathering the commotion. In this context, TABOO TATTOO makes the grade. Barely. Shinjiro's art is crisp: dimpled cheeks, body positioning and articulation; it's fantastic. His skill, however, has its failings: the fight scenes are horribly cluttered, the fanservice is random, and he injects, in this volume at least, and an awkward insistence on using filmic angles and perspectives that skew viewer perception just a bit too far. This book isn't difficult to enjoy, but there's very little substance to it nonetheless. Seigi's training with Easy continues, as the agents of the Kingdom of Selinistan monitor the U.S. Army's activities in Japan. The boy's progress is fun to watch. He adapts quickly and it becomes obvious that Easy is favoring him more as a comrade than as an annoying middle-school kid who got lucky. When the Kingdom's agents target one of Easy's compatriots, Lisa Lovelock, it's clear these villains are slightly more organized and more disciplined than first portrayed. This is a good thing, in the long run, but also a disappointment, because it smacks of poor outlining on the part of the author. Iltutmish is 1000x more talkative in this volume, and Lurker, in a striking reversal, has transformed from a debased sadist into an immature strategist (apparently, the only way to retain/validate the character's original, darker nature is for readers to witness him attempt the rape of an unconscious combatant. . .). The back-and-forth contemplations on the part of the good guys and the bad guys, of who has what spell crest and whether there's a bigger secret/truth to be had by amassing just the right collection, gets fair play. This is the manga's overarching story. But sadly, due to all of the chaotic action and impromptu upskirts, readers will find it difficult to discern how much, if any floats to the top. Similarly, this volume also includes a two-page insert of the Princess of Selinistan (purportedly) arriving in Japan. The incident occurs in the latter third of the book, but is presented completely devoid of context (and is never referenced thereafter). Understandably, this sets up a convenient and "random" encounter with the main enemy in the next volume; however, one can't help but feel that TABOO TATTOO , despite this inelegant stab of forethought, is as generic and directionless as it was when it first debuted.

Hello to all the weebs in this universe. I ask you all to help me. Yes a fellow weeb needs help and your voice, you signing this petition, can mean something to me, but also to other taboo tattoo fans. We need you.
So, what needs to be done? I have watched ''Taboo Tattoo'' also known as 「タブー・タトゥー」 and I was surprised by the amount of hate it got. It is my favorite anime! I love it! After episode 12, there was shown a short piece for season 2. Almost a trailer but let's call it a preview. I wondered if season 2 was already released but I found out the show got cancelled... Why?  Why is it cancelled if the plans for season 2 are there and shown at the end of episode 12? This left me with sadness since I really love the show. So I ask you all, sign this petition, help me, help the artists by watching the show on Crunchyroll or Funimate.

Taboo Tattoo is an action/fantasy series I compare to Akame Ga Kill. Because both series have extreme violence, great action scenes and dark undertones. Plot: After saving a homeless man from some thugs, Seigi receives a strange tattoo from the man as a gift. This act leads to a series of events that will pull Seigi into the middle of a conflict between a special U.S. Army unit and the Kingdom of Selinistan, as both are scrambling to collect powerful "spell crests" called Power Crests, weaponized ancient artifacts of great power which can shift the balance of power in the world.

Don't watch this its not worth your time.
This is not a good series. It is plastic and shallow. It hard to describe why this series fail but I'll give it a shot.
The overall story is okay, it has potential. However the lessons and philosophy the series put forth are shallow and when one think of the people spouting them they seem off point to a large degree. Visually the character designs are okay yet you've somehow seen them all before, this is just the scuffed versions of them. The origin of each character is very bland and the writers even make fun of this themselves. It also seems to me that their personalities are not constant, as if their personalities are whatever the writers decide that day to make it work in the current episode.
Also there is a lot of petty portrayals of America and its people for some reason. I guess the writers are still salty because of a certain event many years ago. Of course you should be free to spout your opinions but don't expect to make a great anime when you do and its strange the people that invested money in this series are treated as your mouthpiece. It's selfish really. You are alienating a large portion of your audience. I'm not American but even I felt awkward watching all these petty scenes.
Also, the animation seem lazy at many times. I just finished the last episode and there are many animations that are just repeated with a floating camera view. You can see the animators was really pushing a deadline. I do not recommend you watch this, its a waste of time.
