This is perhaps one of the last of the theatrical productions, done on 35 mm film, with high production values, competent camera work, and the entire process took about a year from start to finish. There is a script, and most of the actors actually acted. I only watched the Blu-ray edition, and the case contains the regular DVD also. Vinegar Syndrome did the restoration, and while they usually note difficulties, none were noted for this film. However, in some of the initial outdoor scenes, it seems as if it were lightly raining. This didn’t detract from the film, just that it was not noted in the restoration. There is a lot of background information in the commentaries, many quite recent. There are also archival commentaries, although the one by Kay Parker seemed pointless as it was not a continuous soundtrack of commentary, and I didn’t stick with it, as the more recent one was valuable. The commentary by Helene Terrie (writer/producer) gave a lot of insight into the film, especially as regards filming in Los Angeles versus San Francisco. She also gave a lot about her background in film making. Needless to say, the movie deserves the X-rating and for me, that lost a lot. There is some sensuality, a small amount of eroticism, but a definite lack of humor. So with so much emphasis on the X-rated values, it became, in parts, rather boring, no pun intended. In the commentary, it was suggested the movie showed the dull aspect of the suburban life, and that did come across. I only wish there were more humor or at least whimsy. Most of the humor was by Juliet Anderson with her two young 'toys'. The commentary indicated that Taboo 4 had more plot, and less sex. That might have been appreciated here.
A great porn blast from the past. From a time before shaving of private areas and excessive use of implants comes a classic of adult film. Kay Parker seems like a real person who gets caught up in all the sex and not just a life support system for a set of bewbs and vajayjay. It was also nice to see a porn movie with a plot.
I've seen this movie MANY times. I've not seen it this crystal clear before. This is a pornographic movie about an incestuous relationship between a mother and son. Kay Parker is super beautiful in this. You're either into it or not. But if you're a fan of pornography then it doesn't get much hotter than this.
Guys, this is one of the most well known adult movies of all time. It's a great transfer of a classic flick. Your mileage my vary, depending on how much you want to see simulated incest. Don't you judge me!
Kay Parker was great here, one of the best scenes of mother son ever done, if you like that stuff, which I do depending on who's doing it. She and Mike Ranger just have natural chemistry together.
Excellent film. Greatest sex film I can remember.
Loved the idea that a part of cinematic history is preserved.

Very watchable mid period classic hardcore. The mother/son incest theme I can take or leave but it was convincingly done. Kay Parker as the late 30 year old mother was spot on and gives an excellent performance, with and without cock in her mouth. Her son, played by Mike Ranger is fine but looks a little older than the 19 years accredited to him. There is not too much storyline and everyone seems relaxed and happy with their respective roles. Very well paced, there is for once not a scene that outstays its welcome and with varied cinematography and music (occasionally none!) this looks and feels like a laid back late 70s enterprise. Oh, some great shots out on the streets of San Francisco too as a bonus.

This movie is very cool,how come nobody has added a comment on it,The acting is not top notch but the action is worth a 1000 smiles. Everyone performs great,its a classic on the industry and no one can say other than that,it's a must see. It's a nice little story of incest and other pleasures,recomended for the weak of heart,don't watch it alone.I'll give it a 10 out of 10 on Porn movies.

This adult classic holds up well after close to three decades, largely thanks to Kay Parker's star-making turn as Barbara Scott, thirty something mom to strapping young Paul (Mike Ranger, never noted as much of an actor but a hot hunk anyway, here thankfully sans trademark handlebar mustache). She looks stunning in all her budding middle-aged glory and if it's true that everybody needs a bosom for a pillow, hey, look no further ! It's her believable acting that carries the movie though, not always an easy task considering some of the rough moments in the script (which require her to keep a straight face when all around her play for laughs) and dated attitudes (keep an eye out for that orgy scene). The Parker/Ranger footage is truly excellent, some of the most highly charged sex ever seen on the blue screen, helped no end by credible age difference between the two. On the sidelines, Juliet Anderson's truly hilarious (despite being saddled with the most unflattering hairstyle over her entire career) as Kay's perpetually horny best friend Gina who can't help being turned on upon hearing of her friend's incestuous indiscretion. Cult fan favorite Dorothy Lemay won hearts and hard-ons as Ranger's anything goes girlfriend, due in considerable part to her scalding threesome with him and the no less delectable Tawny Pearl from Carlos Tobalina's delightful SEXUAL HEIGHTS. Still a mostly wonderful porn flick, historically important (for tremendous and lasting success on video and now DVD as well as for the rash of imitators it spawned), but not quite the best of the series. That distinction goes to the fourth installment with Jamie Gillis and Ginger Lynn. A monumentally close second however.

This film is easily the finest adult film of all time. Even forgetting about the somewhat controversial theme, the scenes are HOT. Kay Parker is so much more sexual than any of the modern porn "queens" it's a joke. Mike Ranger as her son actually appears to thoroughly enjoy himself (as you would, as it appears that he and KP carried on an affair after the filming ended...after listening to the DVD commentary on the re-issue). After listening to an online radio interview with Kay Parker from 1999, she mentioned that she was at first uneasy about taking the role due to the theme of incest, but decided that she wanted to be the one who brought a touch of "class" to the subject and decided to proceed. And thank goodness she did, because I doubt if anyone else could have done as good a job. Modern film makers of the adult genre should study this film and see what they should be producing, not the endlessly looped gonzo rubbish that passes for porn today. Even though Kirdy Stevens never recaptured the heat of the original, he should be thanked for this piece of porn's finest.
