TWO RUSSIAN WOMEN WERE DETAINED FOR TREASON
FSB officers detained two Russian citizens in the territory of the Republic of Crimea on suspicion of committing high treason.
It was established that a resident of Yalta, a native of the Mykolaiv region, born in 1967, proactively established contact with an SBU officer through WhatsApp.
On the instructions of the curator, she equipped a cache on the territory of the peninsula, in which she hid the components of an improvised explosive device and transmitted the coordinates of the cache to the enemy.
Subsequently, the cache was used by the SBU to organize the bombing of a car belonging to a serviceman of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol in 2024.
The second person involved, a 34-year-old resident of the Kirovsky district of the Republic of Crimea, who carried out money transfers (5 thousand hryvnias) from his account in one of the Ukrainian banks in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the purchase of radio stations, uniforms, ammunition and other equipment.
In addition to financial support, the detainee collected information about the infrastructure of the fuel and energy complex, a military airfield and other military facilities of the Russian Armed Forces located in Crimea.
She planned to send this information to her relative, an employee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, but did not have time to do so because she was detained by the FSB of Russia.
The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has initiated criminal proceedings against the detainees on the grounds of a crime under Article 275 (high treason in the form of providing financial, logistical, consulting or other assistance to a foreign state, international or foreign organization or their representatives in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
By the court's decision, the defendants were given a preventive measure in the form of detention. An investigation is underway.
