TON Space goes live

TON Space is now available for all existing and new Wallet users. After one month of developer’s beta testing, TON Space is finally bringing digital blockchain ownership to Telegram users.

Core features

Our self-custodial space gives people complete control over their digital assets, further advancing digital ownership rights. TON Space acts as a blockchain account and offers full support for TON Ecosystem features, including Toncoin, Jettons, and Collectibles. Now, all existing 2.5M+ Wallet users and newcomers can securely manage and store their digital assets within Telegram.

Security 

The main difference between self-custodial and custodial services is whether third parties have access to your funds. Within the self-custodial TON Space account, you have complete control over your assets, and the Wallet team has absolutely no access to them.

TON Space also offers a secure and convenient account recovery option for users who opt-in. This recovery feature will allow you to use your email and Telegram account to regain access to your TON Space. This way, you will be able to retrieve your TON Space account (e.g. if you have lost or changed your device) without having to grant access to the Wallet team.

TON Connect 

With TON Connect’s groundbreaking technology, all TON Space users can seamlessly connect their Telegram account to a variety of TON-based Web3 apps. Now, you no longer have to switch between different apps – everything you need is at your fingertips right within your favorite messenger! TON Connect support allows you to use Wallet as an authentication tool throughout the entire TON Ecosystem.

How to get started? 

All users will have TON Space enabled by default. You can set up a new TON wallet or import your existing account from Tonkeeper, Tonhub or any other non-custodial wallet.

What’s next?

TON Space is in active development, and one of its first upcoming updates will introduce support for in-app staking and swaps. But that’s not all: in future updates, we plan to integrate multi-address support to TON Space, allowing you to easily manage multiple accounts at once. Additionally, we're working on enabling direct Collectible transfers to your contacts via Telegram usernames for a smooth and user-friendly experience.

One-button launch and new settings

You can now access your wallet using the “Open Wallet” button – instantly launching the application and removing the need for the text menu once and for all. With just one tap, you can open Wallet and start managing your digital assets.

The updated Settings menu allows you to conveniently manage your identification levels as well as control your TON Space seed phrase. This update further enhances your control over your account, making it even easier to manage your personal data.

Telegram integration

During the TOKEN2049 conference on September 13th, Steve Yun from TON Foundation and John Hyman from Telegram announced seamless integration of Wallet into the Telegram, allowing to access Wallet directly in the Telegram Menu. This integration works now for all current Wallet users and soon Wallet will appear there for all non-US Telegram users.

This is the biggest update in Wallet’s history and it marks a huge milestone for the entire TON Ecosystem. Stay tuned for even more updates from Wallet and see you soon! 🚀
