TI Convention. Vol.3

My 3rd day at TICon2018

The day started from searching my region, but that I have already described in previous post. The most pleasurable moment we all waited for with excitement and thrill was Toastmasters International “World Championship of Public Speaking” contest with the 10 finalists. And it was an event indeed!!!! All speeches was absolutely on the highest level ever possible. Yet two stood especially apart for me!

Before announcing the winners there were quick acknowledgement for video contest winners (for undistricted clubs, the feeling that nobody cares was rised inside me again 😤 😖).

And tadadam 🥁 🥁🥁, the winners of the speech contest were all females, woman power and definitely deserved. They beat crap out of men! 

After there were invitation to next convention in Denver, Colorado, President inauguration session, where she shared her journey with Toastmasters. However, before the new elected President took the power, we heard farewell speech from soon-to-be Immediate Past President. He shared the main thing he learned from Toastmasters experience, which he adjusted to his personal life: “Listen, shut up and go to sleep”. And the last one is exactly what I am going to do right now.
