This is quite common in modern "free," "independent," "objective," and "responsible" media:
1. CBS posted an exclusive, "breaking news," mega-clickbait article.
2. Someone didn't like it and picked up the phone.
3. A couple of phone calls later...
4. The title of the "lead-clicker article" was changed.
5. The "breaking hot tamale news item" got quietly folded into a bigger rolling live blog and buried.
6. The original piece with its own headline, anonymous-official sourcing, and casualty details, is now just a bullet point buried inside a much longer rolling live "blog/ticker". No one deleted it, the changes are just "cosmetic".
Welcome to the brave new world of modern corporate MSM... First time?
No, no one deleted the article. It just "gave way" to "more important and relevant news and information. "
