- **User Identifiers:** Discord User IDs and Server (Guild) IDs are stored to link settings (such as AFK status, reminders, and giveaways) to specific users and servers.
- **Message Content:** The Bot temporarily caches message content solely for the purpose of the `/snipe` command (retrieving recently deleted messages). This data is stored in memory and is not persistently logged to a database unless explicitly required for moderation logs.
- **Server Configuration:** Settings such as prefixes, auto-role assignments, greet channels, slowmode configurations, and giveaway details are stored.
- **Command Usage Data:** The Bot may temporarily log command usage for debugging and performance monitoring. This data is anonymized where possible.
## 2. How We Use Your Information
The data collected is used exclusively to:
- Execute the commands you request (e.g., setting a reminder, creating a giveaway, changing a nickname).
- Maintain server-specific settings so that configurations persist between sessions.
- Provide moderation tools as requested by server administrators.
- Improve the Bot's performance and reliability through error tracking.
## 3. Data Storage and Security
- **Hosting:** Data is stored on secure servers with restricted access.
- **Retention:** Message data for the `/snipe` command is cleared automatically after a restart or after a set period. Server configurations remain stored until the Bot is removed from your server.

- **Server Administrators** can remove all server-specific data by kicking or removing the Bot from the server.

The Bot may interact with the Discord API and potentially cryptocurrency APIs (for the `/crypto` command). These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their data handling practices.

## 1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the accompanying Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please remove the Bot from your server and stop using its features.
## 2. License and Usage
- **Permission:** You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Bot in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service.
- **Responsibilities:** You are solely responsible for the actions taken by users on your server when using the Bot.
- **Prohibited Uses:** You may not use the Bot for any unlawful purpose, to spam or harass users, or to violate Discord’s Terms of Service.
## 3. Command Limitations and Availability
- **Intended Use:** The Bot is provided "as is." While we strive for 100% uptime, we do not guarantee that the Bot will be available at all times.
- **Rate Limits:** Excessive use of commands (such as `/coinflip` or `/purge`) may trigger rate limiting to ensure stability for all users.
## 4. User Content and Moderation
- **Giveaways:** Server administrators are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding gambling/sweepstakes laws when using the giveaway features. Cadet is simply a tool and does not assume liability for the legality of your giveaways.
- **Nickname/Steal Commands:** You agree not to use the `/nickname` or `/steal` commands to impersonate others maliciously or to violate Discord's terms regarding harassment.
## 5. Limitation of Liability
Cadet and its developers are **not liable** for any damages, data loss, or server disruption caused by the use of the Bot. This includes:
- Accidental data loss due to the `/nuke` or `/purge` commands.
- Server administrative conflicts caused by the `/autorole` or `/slowmode` commands.
- Disputes arising from giveaway winners or timer reminders.
The user assumes full responsibility for configuring and using the Bot's moderation tools.
## 6. Intellectual Property
The Bot's code, branding (including the name "Cadet"), and design are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not clone, reverse-engineer, or attempt to copy the Bot's functionality without explicit permission.
## 7. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate the Bot's service to specific users or servers if we determine that the Bot is being used in violation of these Terms, Discord's Terms, or applicable laws.
## 8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Bot developer resides. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
