YouPorn has decided to create a TikTok-like app, but for porn.
The app, YouPorn SWYP, basically offers you a scrolling collection of short previews to the adult videos on the popular pornography website. If you swipe up, you’ll move to the next preview. Find something you like, swipe left, and you’ll be taken to the full video.
“At YouPorn, we are always trying to help our users discover their ideal adult entertainment experience,” YouPorn VP Charlie Hughes said in today’s announcement. “Now with the addition of YouPorn SWYP, it is easier than ever for users to explore content based on their specific interests.”
Hughes hopes the new app will offer a more “visually enticing” way to enjoy the website’s videos. However, YouPorn doesn’t want you to scroll through the previews endlessly. As you find videos to select and watch, the app will try to guess your preferences, and suggest others videos you may like.
“In this mode, YouPorn provides a clean interface free of visual distractions, as only one video thumbnail is shown at a time. In addition, video previews play automatically once displayed on the screen, so no need to click play time after time,” the website said.
The bad news for fans is that YouPorn doesn’t have a standalone app on Google Play or Apple’s App Store due to their strict policies against pornographic content. As a result, the website created YouPorn SWYP as a web-based app, which uses the Chrome or Safari browser in your mobile phone to launch the service.
You can access YouPorn SWYP with this link. Despite being a web app, you can still create an app icon for the service on your phone’s home screen. The app will also let you sign in with an existing YouPorn account to save your preferences.

YouPorn, the porn site you visit when your grandmother won't get off your jam about continuing to live in her basement a good decade after graduating high school with a 2.4 GPA, is today launching SWYP, a TikTok-inspired platform for scrolling through porn videos with relative ease.
This is a perfect solution for our short attention spans inundated with social media and endless scrolling.
SWYP will be part of the overall YouPorn mobile app experience, because that's where we're watching porn anyway. It's a fairly simple concept. The user swipes through videos, similar to swiping through TikTok, and either watches the video or doesn't watch the video. SWYP tracks your actions and recommends porn curated specifically to your swiping habits.
So when it comes to functionality of the app, it's very similar to TikTok. Obviously, since it delivers porn and not people doing weird things in grocery stores, that's where the comparisons end. Though, there might be some grocery store porn. Your fetish is your fetish. Fly your flag. Just, not in the produce section.
If there is one thing we love about the mobile internet and experience, it's swiping away our troubles while spending as little time as possible actually consuming content. In that, we consume as much content as possible without actually processing anything of substance in our brains. We're always consuming, always swiping, so why not do it with porn?

The machine learning recommendation engine for porn is a nice touch for a swiping porn app. One of the problems that porn faces with its consuming audience is the same thing Netflix faces. Often we spend more time looking for the right video (or show) than we do consuming it. How many times have you sat in front of the TV, scrolling through Netflix? How many hours spent holding your phone trying to find the right porn video? Swiping makes it that much easier. Consume tidbits, watch what entices you, next time something that you enjoy might pop up quicker than last time thanks to machine learning.
YouPorn is onto something with SWYP. It recognizes that not only is this a mobile marketplace, but it's a marketplace that doesn't have the attention span for not only searching for porn that aligns with particular tastes, but watching entire videos. Everyone who consumes porn content does so for different reasons. Now they can do it quicker and with a simple swiping motion. Doing it within an app and not a mobile browser is a huge selling point, for a free porn app.
