You don't need virtual reality when you have cosplay and talented cosplayers bring Asuna to life.
When it comes to the genres of video game and science fiction anime, one immediately comes to mind, and it's Sword Art Online . The plot takes place in the near future, where Kazuto 'Kirito' Kirigaya enters a video game through virtual reality. He comes to find that he and the other players cannot escape unless they confront and defeat its creator. During his journey, he meets Yuuki Asuna, another player in the game.
Asuna is a friendly and warm individual who enjoys helping others. But don't underestimate her cute appearance, for she's also experienced in combat as a part of Knights of Blood. Her main weapon is a rapier sword, earning her the nickname 'Flash.' Although you don't need virtual reality when you have cosplay , as talented cosplayers bring Asuna to life. In no particular order, here are our ten favorite Yuuki Asuna cosplays.
How adorable does Shizu (IG: motioncosplays) look as Asuna? Shizu is known for her doll-like makeup, especially when cosplaying anime characters.
The extra lashes and round contacts make the look feel more like a cartoon. The costume is Asuna's signature Knights of Blood uniform, with a lovely lace detail on the sleeves. We love this kawaii take on Asuna.
Asta (IG: asyllacosplay) looks ready to duel as the Undine version of Asuna. The Undines are a race associated with the color blue, as seen in this cosplay, because of their connection with water. This makes Undines experts in underwater combat, especially when battling water-type monsters.
After Sword Art Online was cleared, Asuna began playing ALfhiem Online as an Undine. Her new avatar has blue hair and elf ears, just like in Asta's cosplay. This photo was taken by Lavi (IG: laviannacosplay ) at Koyocon 2019.
We love Sydney (IG: shasta.babyyy ) as Asuna's classic avatar. After becoming a leader of the Knights of Blood, she dons their red and white uniform. It's from the first installment of the series where the characters play Sword Art Online.

Fatal Bullet is a video game that follows the events of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. It takes place in Gun Gale Online with two modes: the main story which follows a custom character, and Kirito mode, which focuses on Kirito's story. The player's choices result in one of two default endings or a true ending in the final chapter.
In this game, Asuna trades her red and white uniform for a royal purple ensemble. Riko (IG: _riko_cos ) looks fantastic as this version of Asuna. They have cosplayed the Undine Avatar version of Asuna as well.
LoreStar (IG: lorestarcosplay ) looks badass as Asuna from Gun Gale Online. This is her armored look from Phantom Bullet, which is the arc for the Gun Gale Online setting, and the third arc of the series. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth, where people live on space ships.
Earth is thought to be a wasteland after the war, but there is actually a city underneath the ruins, full of automated fighting machines and mutant creatures. To combat these machines and creatures, Asuna needs a set of armor, just like this cosplayer wears.
This rendition of Asana is from Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, the film adapted from the anime. The plot takes place in the year 2026, in between seasons two and three of the anime. A new machine called the Augma is developed to compete against NerveGear. Asuna convinces Kirito to play Ordinal Scale, the most popular game on the Augma.
Her new avatar has long dark sleeves and a button-up top, which Lilybat (IG: lilybatcosplay ) brings to life. Complete with the wig and marking under her eye, it looks exactly like the anime. This photo was taken by Tim Vo (IG: fiveringsphoto ).
The Alicization Arc, or the fourth arc in Sword Art Online, takes place in the Underworld. Asuna adopts the avatar of Stacia, the Goddess of Creation. Legend says she rules over all animate and inanimate objects in the form of Life.
Grace (IG: _meguuchan ) must have taken inspiration from Stacia herself because she literally brings the character to life. In this iteration, Asuna wears pink and white with pearly armor. Although she still carries her rapier sword, as in all arcs of the series.
The romance between Kirito and Asuna transcends virtual reality with these cosplays from Candy (IG: candykiraneko ) and Xexu Cosplay (IG: xexu_cosplay ). Asuna is Kirito's partner and main love interest in the anime. Among everyone she has met, Kirito is the closest and dearest to her. They even get married and meet in real life outside the game.
Even when Kirito got kidnapped, Asuna stopped at nothing to find him and secure his location. Talk about couple goals. This photo was taken by Rodri Seve (IG: rodri_seve ).
Asuna's original avatar in ALfheim Online was Titania, the Fairy Queen. Tiffany (IG: tiffanygordoncosplay ) looks fantastic as this fairy version. All the elements of the outfit are perfect, such as the white skirt and red bow on the neckline of her crop top. And she's even barefoot -- now that's commitment.
She made this cosplay herself from fabric and worbla. The wings and ears are impressive and show attention to detail. In fact, the cosplayer provides tutorials and blueprints in the caption of this post, so other cosplayers can do this rendition.
Nash (IG: nash_clive ) looks breathtaking in her Asuna cosplay. It looks like a combination of the Sword Art Online avatar and the Goddess of Creation. She uses the Knights of Blood color palette, but she adds ornate design elements such as gold trim and long gloves.
The cape flows perfectly behind her, and the flowers in her hair are a lovely touch. It's simply a beautiful take on sweet Asuna. This photo was taken by Robert Hz (IG: robert.hz )

walked a good 5-6 hours in total in this and it held nicely, sleeves were loose so i got some body tape to tape it, got tape to stick to my socks too, their not actual socks just like leg warmers lol, eventually having it for a while you can see small small holes in the warmers but no biggie? right? chest plate was too big so i just got some velcro straps for fabric and it was perfect along i had to do with the cape, otherwise everything was perfect and stayed together!

Good for cons but cheap fabric

I bought this product a while back in a Large, came and didn’t fit, I returned the product and got an XL, mind you I got a curve but I know I only wear a large and when I got an XL and didn’t fit I was devistated, but other than that it came nicely folded in a package no damages and was really good quality
This arrived on time and in great condition as side from a few things listed below- which unfortunately was the reason I had to return the item.. The skirt and top were WAY to small... For ref. I'm 5foot and about 140 lbs - waist being 33in / Hips being 41.5 inches and bust being 37.5 inches.- this however didnt even come close to fitting me, order a size up or so...I felt like what i did see was worth the amount, but the socks that come with the cross was already peeling up on off of the white fabric. Since this a minor thing that i could of fixed it i would have reordered it - if they had more in stock. :/

My daughter absolutely loves this for her cosplay. The quality of fabric and stitching is better than most. It fits her body well and not like a "one size fits all costume". Overall happy with our purchase.

Product looks like picture. The fit is not true to size. It was small on my daughter, that we had to make adjustments for her to wear to con. She wasn't even there for 1 hour before she told me that it had ripped.
