Room tip: All rooms are awesome! Rooms by the spa are very social!

Why?
I’m not sure how long into my marriage it was but somewhere along the line the topic of orgies came up and I told my wife it was something I’d always wanted to do. “You’ll be needing another wife for that, then,” was her wry reply. I came across the Sea Mountain Resort while researching a few days in Palm Springs as part of a bigger trip to the USA.
I suggested to my wife we should go because we were away from home, it was sure to be anonymous and who knows we could miss out on an interesting experience and who regrets what they choose to do anyway!
Preparation:
She read a few online reviews and said yes, albeit reluctantly. I phoned and booked a day pass and we were committed. It’s a nude resort so we were worried about the sun and what to wear so we both ended up buying hats. We thought it might get boring so we packed our Kindles. We never really got them out of the bag.
We were both a little nervous as we drove out to the resort. It’s about 10 minutes outside Palm Springs. I’ve read people complain about the area but it’s fine it feels safe anyway. The resort has plenty of parking and we got out of the car to blaring music and the sound of lots of people talking and laughing.
The Host with the... Why? The Host with the Most: You ring a bell at the entrance and if they are expecting you someone comes to let you in. We walked in still nervous and were taken to the office. This involves walking past the pool full of naked people in the water. We are introduced to Dewey he’s the host and very friendly and entertaining. The office has a dog called Golda Meier and celebrity pictures on the wall. Some of them may or may not have been here we are told. Dewey is quite the host and he must have spotted the look on my wifes face because he said: “This is the safest place in the world. We don’t allow single men and all the staff are women, we don’t need security here.” She relaxed a lot. We then got the tour – Hey Guys say hi to the Aussies” The entire pool says hi. We are taken to the locker area where we undress and lock everything away. We where then in our new hats stark naked and not really sure what to do. There is a big pool and a smaller pool and a larger number of lounge chairs. The small pool was empty and we spotted a lounge chair for two a little out of the way and in the shade. We settled ourselves there. So how did it go: There are a few things that you notice immediately, the crowd is very friendly, there are a variety of body types walking around without being self conscious about there size, tummy etc – it’s obviously liberating for many. It’s also obvious the women are in control so there is no feeling anyone is doing anything they don’t want to. An older woman comes over for a chat. She is a regular and lives in the area. She was also at least in her 60’s. There is no sleezy feeling about the place at all most people were together in groups getting on with their own thing. All our concerns dropped away and we were left with the erotic thrill of a highly sexual environment – what a turn on. We were both finding our feet so we had a little dip in the smaller pool and headed into the empty sauna for a little sexual activity of our own. We spent the day repeating the pattern. We’d cuddle on our lounge chair until we were in the mood to head back to the sauna. My wife did not want to have sex in public and really there was no pressure to do anything. She became progressively more daring and uninhibited and we had 4 hours of the most romantic, sexual time we have spent for a long time. If you want to know what else goes on there well pretty much everything. Two homely suburban mums were grinding on each other while their husbands watched. A young couple arrived and went down on each other for ten minutes before heading off to the pool. We kept going to the snack bar so we could see what was going on. As we left the evening session had started and that was a little more explicit. None of this was confronting. We had two people come up and talk to us but we were really left to ourselves for the day. The resort puts on drinks and snacks and we arrived at 1 and left at 6 and found there was enough to keep us happy. So what’s my take out after this. Well it’s a very erotic experience and will give you the chance to explore things you might not have before. One review says it’s a chance to fall in love with your partner again and I think that’s true. We both remarked about how quickly time went and how for 4 hours we were just focussed on us. We left worn out happy and both agreed it was a great experience. We wondered what goes on a breakfast. We were tired and happy to go but many say over on the property. Should you try it? Absolutely. Would we do it again – probably not because we’re not swingers and don’t intend to be. Also Sea Mountain was a unique circumstance and unlikely to happen again. We’re always on the look out for new ways to add variety to our sex lives and this was the biggest challenge so far and the benefits will be with us for a while. Some details: Just a few mechanical details. The resort is set up for nothing else – it’s a party place with some accommodation. It’s just out of town with plenty of parking. It’s easy to get there and it’s not a scary part of town at all. It’s pitched as a 5 star luxury resort and that’s probably a stretch but it’s clean well looked after and a very nice garden environment. You don’t really have too much to worry about. Dewey is the host with the most, you’ll never have to worry about how you look naked or your age or about what you might have to do. We love this place!! There’s always plenty of food, drinks, fun and friendly people. The staff is fabulous--they take great care of you and ensure you are having a good time. Weekdays are usually laid back, social and romantic. Later in the week the party ramps up, with lots of music, dancing and excitement. All ages, shapes and sizes are welcome, so everyone will feel comfortable. We’ve been visiting for 10 years, and plan to return over and over again. Visit for the day, or stay a while in one of the gorgeous rooms. Definitely a good time, with tons of sun and fun! Try it, you won’t regret it!!

We love this place. Me and my wife head out a few times a year and can never get enough. The staff is just wonderful. They instantly make you feel like family. So liberating to really enjoy the sun or dance the night away when they bring in a DJ. Weekdays can be totally relaxing, while on weekends are a great party where you're not gonna find more friendly people anywhere. We are planning another trip back late October.

Will you confuse Sea Mountain with the Armani Hotel Dubai or the Claridges in London? No. Are there a few chairs that the doves residing the in the trees have made unusable or might you find leaves on some of the chairs? Might the linens be a bit thin? Yes. If these are your standards, well, maybe Sea Mountain isn't for you. However, if you enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where you are free to be nude, you are free to explore how far you and your partner are willing to explore in a public setting, and you enjoy margaritas and shots served by Sea Mountain's gorgeous nude female staff (and Dewey as well!), the come out and ENJOY the company of like minded adults. Yes, you may see it ALL. Everywhere. Anytime. In a relaxed atmosphere. The staff continuously work to make sure that everything is clean for all the guests. Yes, mother nature tries to stay ahead of them, but they are constantly in motion cleaning, picking-up, and bringing beverages. Might the cushions be in need of replacement? Sure. Why not. Will that keep me away? No. Is it pricey? Yes. Thank goodness. And thank goodness it is couples and single women only. You get what you pay for. The price keeps many who simply gawk at the clientele on the outside. Come live your lifestyle in the comfort of Sea Mountain. COMFORT being the key word. Yes, we will be back as soon as we are back in California.

My wife and I have been coming to the Sea Mounting over the years sense 2009. Over this period of time we have gotten to know Dewey and the staff there as people the truly care about their guest. We have been a part of and seen many times five star customer service over and over. The way they handled us and the medical emergency we experienced on Saturday was truly five star service. From the bottom of our heart we want to thank you for the quick response and outstanding care. We felt this came from true concern and emotion on a level boarding family. We can not wait to come out again soon and personal shake your hands in appreciation! Just outstanding people...Period!!! We highly recommend the Sea Mountain Inn as an amazing couple experience! The staff and guest have always been a pleasure to be with! This is no question a diamond in the middle of the desert!!! We love it and them!
We went to sea mountain on Saturday and had a great time. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay to long as we had a family emergency. Husband and I can not wait to go back and stay all day and night. Love this place! Always a great time to spend with your partner.

One Tuesday this past spring, a taxi dropped me at the doors of Desire Pearl, a fancy “clothing-optional” resort on the outskirts of Cancún. The lobby, dotted with white leather love seats and lit with a purple glow, had the feel of a private lounge for Vegas bigwigs. But there was something else, too, a prurient electricity I could feel as I wheeled my way to the front desk. Around every corner, I knew, were naked
people.
I'm no nudist myself. My mission was born of curiosity. You see, an inventive new concept in the leisure economy had caught my attention, a travel trend that seemed wildly contradictory: luxury nudity. Could that really be a thing? I wondered.
After all, the nudists I've met in my travels have tended to be hippies and Burning Man types. You know, the kindly folks you'll discover soaking in hot springs outside of Taos, perhaps bleating low notes on a didgeridoo. In other words, not the crowd I'd expect to be psyched about high-end vacation options.
The free spirits flocking to Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort, I figured, had to be a different sort. With nightly rates during high season of $700 to $1,500, this place wasn't for hippies. So, then, who was coming? And how was it that Desire Pearl and a string of establishments like it were booked solid for months at a time?
The receptionist at the desk seemed to sense my urge to uncork these beguiling mysteries. And she quickly sniffed me out as a newbie, scared to take off my clothes. “You'll be fine,” she told me. “Jacuzzi Happy Hour starts at four. You'll make some friends. Just go with the flow!” Easy for her to say, I thought, noticing that none of the staff (all quite attractive) were naked.
A bellhop ferried my bags toward my room, past pungent trees heavy with tropical fruit. The view from the balcony of my suite was lush and magnificent. On the beach below, a spider monkey rested his chin in his hands, as though smitten with the scenery himself.
No matter how much sex you've seen in movies or on bookmarked sites on your laptop, it feels crazy to watch real people go at it, just yards away.
But as I followed the monkey's gaze, I realized he was staring not at the ocean and its glisten of afternoon sun but at a 1,000 percent naked guy, squatting close by, rigorously applying suntan lotion to his penis, balls, and ass cheeks. My first sighting!
