A group of swingers have given a rare and honest insight into the inner workings of the taboo lifestyle, revealing the truth behind people’s common misconceptions.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s “You Can’t Ask That” features different groups of Australians and asks them questions that people want to know the answer to but wouldn’t bring up in a regular situation.
Some of the past participants include former cult members, drag queens, transgender people, strippers and, in the latest episode, swingers.
The participants start off by addressing some of the myths around swinging and swingers parties.
There’s a common misconception that at these parties partners get chosen by everyone putting their car keys in a bowl. Whoever’s keys you pick out is then your partner for the night.
But according to the participants, this rarely, if ever, happens. More often than not partners are chosen on a preferential basis.
“I would much rather have sex with a couple that we have talked with over drinks for an hour than be forced into a bedroom with another person,” Sally from Melbourne said.
Megan, a single woman who is involved in the Brisbane swinger scene, said: “That would terrify me because you don’t really have a choice about who you’re going home with or who you’re hooking up with.”
Megan is known as a “unicorn” in the swinging community because of her single status and said that a lot of couples often look to incorporate another woman in their sex lives.
She said that many people believe women are forced into the swinging scene by their husbands or boyfriends and that the community is just full of “sleazy, old, fat men.”
“The thing is that can be true sometimes because all types of people like to swing,” Megan said. “(It’s) people wanting to explore their sexuality with each other in a couple situation.”
For the people being interviewed the decision to get into swinging was very much a mutual decision between both partners.
Husband and wife Andrew and Sally first got into the scene shortly after their engagement.
“I was only 18 when I met Andrew. He was pretty much one of my first sexual partners,” Sally said.
“As the wedding date slowly crept up on us, I sort of felt the pressure of, ‘I haven’t had any other sexual experiences, I haven’t played with anyone else.’”
She said it was a co-worker that first suggested that just because they were getting married didn’t mean they had to be monogamous.
The couple now regularly attend swingers events together, naming “jelly wrestling” and “the raw lust of it” as some of the most exciting aspects.
Interviewees answered a range of questions like “What are the best sex tips you have learned?” and “What is it like to lose your swinging virginity?” but one of the big ones asked was what it was like to see their partner with someone else.
Jess from Sydney said jealousy is definitely a factor, particularly in the beginning.
“I’m not going to say I don’t get jealous, especially in the early days … because, you know, I compared myself to that girl and I was like, ‘How did she do that?’” she said.
“(But) I think just being able to communicate that with Lawrence has taught me … I don’t have to be jealous. I can just appreciate and love him and love her for what they’re doing. And do it better sometimes.”
Most of the couples agreed that communication between couples was key and a lot of the time seeing their partner with someone else was part of the thrill.
All of the interviewees were very forthcoming with information and the episode didn’t really leave much to the imagination.
While some viewers praised the show as “wonderfully honest” and “very eye-opening,” others weren’t so impressed.
“While I’m cool with people enjoying whatever they like, I actually felt like I was tricked into listening to porn without my consent,” one person wrote on social media.
“Bit ironic really when they were talking up the understanding of consent within the swinging community.”
Another said, “Now I am very broad minded but that needed some serious warnings before it was on. Bit OTT. Love the concept in the right situation.”
“Bit verbally graphic for 9 pm my adult kids. Walked out! … not a prude just saying,” one person wrote.

Find a swingers club in NYC that’s actually great for experimenting with sex and dating and isn’t super sketchy.
It may be a strange era to be swapping spit (or more) with strangers, so note various health and safety precautions (like proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 tests) at these top swingers clubs in NYC.

If you and your significant other enjoy knocking boots with a writhing mass of sexy strangers, look no further than this club in Queens. And if you want more information on boots, here’s a fun fact: The actual first name of the Roman emperor commonly called Caligula was Gaius—caligula means "little boots" in Latin, and Caligula picked up this nickname (which he hated) when he accompanied his dad, Germanicus, during his military campaigns in Germany.
This upscale, members-only club is on the pricey side (120 bones to get in). Like most swingers’ clubs, it’s strictly BYOB, and the grim lumps of surly bouncers severely enforce its dress code. But if you’ve got the dough, it’s a nicer club than most under the swinger banner, and it’s got a slick dance floor. Note: Single men are not allowed.
Known as a “woke” sex club, this progressive group approves members based on attraction, compatibility, intelligence and experiences with other members. Events like erotic sketching, kinky game night, couples play time, speed dating and more take place at least twice a week. A safe, judgment-free space is promised at all events, workshops and parties, and members can also be part of NSFW’s online social network.
A small, curated group of strangers connect for Intimate’s, well, intimate swingers events. Members can be experienced or new to the lifestyle, and can enjoy monthly get togethers with cocktails (BYOB, mixers are provided), mingling, flirting and more. Most members are poly, but members are also welcome at events just to dance or observe. Being creepy, however, is strictly forbidden.
Head out to this monthly event in Bushwick that is, well, exactly what you think a swingers’ party in Bushwick would be like—in a good way! Private membership requires screenings to ensure folks are “beautiful inside and out” to participate in the female-energy-centric environment. Men can apply if they’ll be attending with a female Chemistry member.

What are people saying about social clubs in New York, NY?
This is a review for social clubs in New York, NY:
"This place was okay until I ordered a drink. The bartender was completely rude. I asked for a vodka club with a splash of pineapple. When I received my drink I didn't taste any pineapple so all I said was hey, sorry there's no pineapple, to which she responded WELL THEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A "SPLASH"

It was unnecessary. I wasn't trying to be rude, she could have charged me more for it for all I cared. Her attitude was uncalled for therefore I will never be coming back to this establishment. Don't waste your time it's a practically a basement with red lights. I felt like a call girl when I was there."

Everyone appears to be getting laid on TV, social media, and in the movies… in real life, it’s actually kind of hard to find couples that are seriously looking for fellow swingers.
The majority of couples just aren’t into it. Some only swing with their own friends, kind of a closed circle sort of thing. Then again, there ARE other swinging couples looking for dates…but locating these mysterious sexy strangers is a challenge.
Here we look at the top 11 best swinger sites for finding open-minded people!
You may wonder, how did we figure out what sites to include?
We actually conducted a research project and registered for about 20 different swingers sites. Over the course of 25 hours or so, our profile and pictures got a lot of responses – and mostly from the top 5 sites on our list.
For our Top 11 list that caters to swingers, open marriages, poly dating, and everything in between, we considered factors like members, dating app UI, response, quality of responders, intelligence of the conversation (indicating humans, not bots), and the number of swinger events or dates offered.
By the end of this list, you might have one favorite swinger site that sticks out in your mind!
Starting back in 1996, Adult Friend Finder is the most well-known kinkster site online.
This adult dating site was matching up swingers and real-life gangbangs back when most of us were just discovering free porn for the first time. Adult Friend Finder also happens to have one of the most inclusive and open-ended searches of all dating sites.
You can look for couples, trans users, or groups, and designate your own sexual preferences. Even more interesting is that you can choose “how you swing”, deciding on which spouse gets sex, or if you’re just being a voyeur for the time being.
SwapFinder is one of the largest swingers sites online, claiming 40 million profiles and offering a variety of matches, including full swap, threesomes, BDSM activities, and even group sex.
Naturally, the best feature for swapping is their two-way live sex cams for both couples. You can start flirting as a couple and send flirts or come-ons to other couples when you see someone nice.
Start with a video chat before arranging for a sex date – this way, you know the other members are real before you meet them.
SwingLifeStyle promotes a “Swingers Next Door” kind of feel, with less emphasis on perfection and supermodels stripping on video, and more about finding real couples.
The Florida-based website emphasizes club meetings and even has connections with “Bliss Cruise”, and “Topless Travel” options for meet and greets.
The best feature of the site is the “Join a Group” and “Find a Club” option, which lets you become part of a larger swinger community.
SDC is serious about finding your customized date! As soon as you sign up you can choose between swingers, hookups, fetishes, and even sex education while you’re at it. Like some of the best swinger sites, SDC focuses on groups and communities, as well as events and parties .
Swingers Date Club is taking online dating to the next level!
Many swingers enjoy meetup groups and events before they date a couple alone. Swingers Date Club also offers party searches and public events nearby, and more detailed profiles than the average site.
On top of all that, SDC is also one of the oldest swinger communities online, starting in 2000.
Reddit Swingers is one of the most active dating groups for swingers, though its 200K members are substantially less than most of the other sites reviewed. Still, it’s an active community with a very direct approach.
You can enjoy free sign-up , instant chat, instant forum discussion, and private picture trading. If you don’t want to pay for the snappy features and just want to find or post a personal ad, Reddit Swingers won’t disappoint.
Seeking.com is not a swinger dating website specifically, but it does just so happen to bring a lot of hot college girls together, all on the tab of a wealthy guy with no attachments.
The site isn’t about escorting, just sugar babies who are more than willing to chat about sex, fantasies, and what turns them on.
The female-to-male ratio is highest at this site, 4-1, which is great odds. It’s one of the best dating sites to find threesomes or a pool of sexy partners if you have the Bruce Wayne/Tony Stark kind of lifestyle.
Believe it or not, Ashley Madison is not all about cheating. Plenty of profiles on the site are hot wives (sharing couples), open marriages, poly, and couples looking for threesomes. No names are required and in fact, sharing personal information is discouraged.
