Sweets and Snowflakes: The Winter Snack Adventure.

I walked downstairs to the Living Room, but it feels so empty. Where are my sibling? I feel like today is like the unusual Saturday, because on Saturday, The Hearst family usually gathers on the Living Room. But today, I barely see anyone left their rooms.
I’m going to my room again, I was about to go to my bed and have a quiet nap since I think it’s an unusual Saturday.
But my thoughts was wrong, as soon as I closed my eyes and got my body covered with blanket, someone burst into my room and jumped into my bed.
”Eyis! Wake up! Let’s buy some treats for Christmas! Momma asked me to invite you.” Ruicii said.
”Oh Icii, please. Can I have a nice nap first? Give me five minutes! I was so close from dreaming!”
”Hehehe, okay! Meet me in Momma’s room in five minutes.” Ruicii left my room with my door opened.
”The door, please!” I shouted.
”Sorry!”
Yup. It’s an unusual Saturday.

I woke up from my five minutes nap. Felt so dizzy but at least my body battery is now fully-charged! I better get ready.
Feels like the other Saturdays now, everyone is busy as usual, Luna, Abbie, Catrice, and Corgi are playing riddles, Ginger, Hugo, Jolene, Aether, and Forrest that can’t stop bullying each others.
I also saw Aunt Cecilia on our couch, she’s having a chit-chat with Momma, Kaia, and Milena! I wonder what are they talking about.
“Nile, have you seen my new boots?” I asked as I walk towards Momma’s room.
”Nope, I haven’t seen it. Where did you last store your boots? Maybe up in Luna’s room?” She answered.
”It’s not in my room! I don’t steal anymore, I swear!” Luna shouted from upstairs.
“Silly Eyis, you’re wearing your boots.”
”Ogi! I didn’t even realize that, thanks for telling me!” It was embarrassing, but just a little bit.

“Everyone, please write down treats that you want to buy at the largest supermarket in town!” Sethrico said.
”We’re going where????!!!”
“THE LARGEST SUPERMARKET!!!!!!”
”I want to buy gingerbreads!”
”I want sugar canes.”
”PLEASE BUY SOME GINGERBREAD HOUSE.”
”Can you buy some turkish delight?”
“Sure, write it all down!”
After everyone wrote down their favorite treats, Sethrico told Momma the list. Sethrico said that only few people can join the snack-buying, so I insisted myself because I’ve been already awakened!
Me, Jules, Kaia, Kadenza, Abbie, Catrice, Luna, Eithea, Ruicii, Genoveva, Sethrico, Alakay and Momma will go to the Supermarket. The youngsters should join; otherwise, they’ll start whining.

I’m sure there’ll be a lot of things that we’ll buy. I heard that Momma’s inviting bunch of friends, neighbors, and also Hearts! (Yes, you’re invited.) and Ruicii told us his brilliant idea for Christmas games! The gingerbread house competition, the Santa cosplay, decorate Christmas tree cookie, scavenger hunt, and guess the character!
”Kadenza, can you please get three basket?” Momma asked.
“We’re buying treats that much, Mum?” Said Luna in shock.
”Of course, Darling! Our neighbors and Hearts will come to our place, they’ve got lots of children!”
“Mom, can we buy some hot chocolates?”
”Just put it inside.”
“Momma, gingerbread dough?”
”Sure! Make sure to grab 5 packs of them.”
”Momma, please… this Santa plush?”
”Ok, grab 10.”
Alakay choked. “Who are we giving these plushies for, Mom?”
“The kids. I told you there’ll be lots of children.”
”Mom, Sylvanian Christmas set?”
“No.”
”Why?”
”What are you going to do with it, Luna?”
”Display it on Living Room?”
”After that?”
”Store it in my bedro—“
”Mom, can we please buy the Turkish Delight that I wanted?”
“Put it in the basket!”

When it feels sufficient, we’re going back home to make gingerbread house, gingerbread cookies, hampers, and more!
Nilenia and Abbie are making gingerbreads, it’s their very first time, so they’re making the instant one!
”Nile, can I make this man’s face angry?” Abbie asked.
”Why do you want a gingerbread to look angry?”
”It’s funny.”
Hugo seems interested with the gingerbreads, ”Nile, can I take a bite?”
“Nu uh! Don’t you dare touch it. It’s not ready yet, still need thousands of love. I’ll serve them when it’s ready!” Abbie said.
”Little stern,” Forrest teased.
”Hurry up, the hampers employees are starving.”
”It’ll be ready in any minutes now!”
“My tummy’s ready!”
”Shoo!”

On the other hand, Aether, Eithea, Genoveva, Chloe and Me are making gingebread houses. We were laughing at each other’s creation and jamming to Christmas songs, especially “All I Want for Christmas Is you” by Mariah Carey.
We know these gingerbread houses wouldn’t survive until Christmas Eve, but as long as we had fun, then it’s fine!
“My gingerbread house is a total mess,” Aether admitted.
”Are you serious? That is the most good-looking gingerbread house that I’ve ever seen, Aether,” I complimented.
“Thanks! I guess, yeah, mine’s better than yours, Eyis!” Aether teased.
”There’s no way! Me & Ginny’s gingerbread house will always be better!”
“Stop fighting! Let’s play with snow outside; everyone’s waiting for us.” Chloe suggested.
It’s beginning to look and feel a lot like Christmas. Snowflakes on my fingers, hot chocolates and snowman in the front yard. This Christmas will be filled with lots of sweets and also love!
