We all the know the Jess Franco template for this mid-period run of his films: plenty of nudity, over use of Lina Romay (who must always be nude), re-used vaguely tropical sets and an element of blatant sexploitation. Well Die Sklavinnen fits all those requirements. If you think you have seen the film before, then you probably have. We have seen it all (with the same cast) in Ilsa the Wicked Warden, Women in Prison or Barbed Wire Dolls. There is in fact only one slave, Martine Stedl, who is taken hostage and sexed and drugged up by Romay. Drama is provided by her implausibly fat father who apparently wants her back. Romay is the baddie and gets tortured a little, but it is all pretty tame. Reasonable amount of FFN, but we wouldn't like it any other way. So, one of the lesser Franco outings. Don't expect wall to wall confinement or an outbreak of mass slavery. But hey, I still don't get bored of these early films, so who cares?

The images, which appear to depict the blonde Braun showing off her curves next to an Alpine lake, give an insight into German despot Adolf Hitler’s sex life.
The Fuhrer’s floozy is seen with her hands behind her head, thrusting her chest out into the German countryside, smiling to herself.
Another shows her paddling in the shores, bending over so the photographer can capture her plump rump.
On the back of one of the pictures it states: “On the secluded beach at the Lake Wolfgang. August 1943.”
Another has the words “Eva Braun” scrawled on the back as well as: “A snapshot. A beautiful day on the Black Lake.”
The photo collector is Bernard S, 30, and he is adamant the pictures depict the Nazi bride.
He said: “I studied all pictures of Eva Braun that I could find. You can clearly see that it is her.”
Bernard S bought the pictures from antiques dealer Stefan Kreuzmayr, based in Salzburg.
He said: “A woman came into my shop came nine years ago. She had a whole box of pictures with her. From an estate. She had found the stuff in her attic and thought that, in two images, Eva Braun was pictured.”
He bought the whole case and never saw the woman again, but now he’s starting to regret selling them on because he admits he did not initially see the words “Eva Braun” written on the back.
The antiques expert said: “If I had I would probably not have sold the images on, or certainly not at the price I was asking.”
Uwe Wasserthal, a publicly appointed and sworn expert for photographs of the 19th century, thinks there is a good chance the pictures could be genuine.
He says the paper they are printed on was popular with Nazi leaders and the white shoes lying next to her in one of the pictures are very similar to ones she has been pictured in before.
Braun was Hitler's long term mistress until they married while in the bunker that would also become their grave in Berlin on the same day they committed suicide in 1945.

The allies liberated Europe from Hitler's atrocities including murdering six million Jews. My father was one of the sailors in world war two , he saw many of his fellow Canadian, British and American soldiers slaughtered by ruthless Germans, including seeing men drowning in the Atlantic after German subs sank their ship which was carrying supplies to England from Canada. He also saw thousands of dead bodies at Normandy. The freedoms we have in the west are because brave men and women stood up against fascism. Perhaps you would be happy if Hitler had won and you could be saluting the Nazi flag each day?

It was war folks - an atrocity in and of itself. I'm certainly glad the allies won, but that does not excuse the United States from policies from which Hitler himself took inspiration: Forced racial segregation (including the armed forces), forced sterilization of "undesirables" (primarily nonwhites and the mentally ill or physically handicapped - a practice that did not end in some places in the US until the 1970s!) and lets not forget racially motivated lynchings and property theft

I cant believe how many people don't condemn war of any kind what does it bring except millions of people being put into the worst misery and sadness for in the long run nothing nobody wins look at all the wars in history what have they changed, the people that started them are the only ones who benefit.Just like today look at the mess the world is in and the people who are creating all of the death and misery aren't suffering, just people like all of us who allow these few to make us do to each other what hopefully we would never do.
They should have been made to strip and then walked out of town naked. That would have been real punishment. Out in the countryside with no clothes or food would have made them reconsider their career paths..
What I hate to see are the pretty women that are hung or shot. Now that is a real waste of awesome pussy. They should have kept the pretty ones as sex slaves for the troops. Much longer punishment than a quick hanging or bullet. But if you are gonna shoot them or hang them at least make them strip. Much better psychological punishment to be naked in public and realize your naked body is going to be on display after you are dead.

Nobody seems to know where this photo came from. It shows a young lady in an officer’s (Untersturmführer) uniform. Women could not join SS units except as auxiliaries, and certainly did not wear SS officer uniforms.

Members of the Norwegian collaborationist Special Squad Lola (Sonderabteilung Lola) whose mission was to infiltrate the Norwegian resistance, are being tried after the war. Spirits seem to be high - indicating the level of callousness of these hardened war criminals. Lola worked under the orders of the SS/SD; several hundred Norwegians were tortured, and it is believed that Lola killed more than 80 people. Ten defendants, all men, were found guilty and shot. The rest (the women) received long prison sentences.

Women who consorted with the Germans during the occupation are driven through the streets of Cherbourg by members of the French resistance. Their head were shaved in order to humiliate them. The perks of sleeping with SS men were extra rations or quality food, access to forbidden luxury goods such as perfume and stockings and freedom from certain restrictions. The downside as seen by their contemporaries who later shot or ostracized and humiliated them was complicity in - or perhaps even knowledge of - the hell and slaughter of the concentration camps.
Going strictly by their attire and their, shall we say, defiant postures, these may have been working girls. Parading them around like this may seem a bit much to today’s audience, but at the time, this image would have evoked feelings of victory and just retribution. Some probably wanted them shot out of hand.
