Swallow Soul is a skill in the Siphoning skill line under the Nightblade category in ESO (the Elder Scrolls Online)
The Swallow soul morph used to boost all your self heals but wasn't used much because funnel health gave out 2x group heals in addition to your self heals. These 2x group heals always targeted your groups lowest health members and put the full HOT on them for the full duration.
Swallow Soul is a Skill in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). This Skill is found in the Siphoning Skills Line which belongs to the Nightblade Class and can be unlocked by gaining experience while having a Skill from that Line on your active Skill Bar.

I use Swallow Soul on a Soulcleaver/Oakensoul build to solo normal dungeons for the story on my main and also to solo WBs. It always felt good in rotation between heavy attacks so I plan to keep using it, even if it gets nerfed more.

The 8% mag passive. If you're missing it, then swallow soul is better. And like others have mentioned it, if you run swallow frontbar you can run concealed for the passive. But honestly, the best spammable is concealed right now, unless you want ranged which then you would slot concealed.
Swallow soul is already a decent ranged spammable with self healing, and quite strong when further buffed by soulcleaver. It doesn't need to give up all healing for a damage buff.

Swallow soul isn't a dot, it's a direct damage attack very comparable in damage to force pulse and elemental weapon. But it also heals you (this is what you mistook for a dot but it's actually a heal over time).

Swallow Soul only heals the NB and the extra 10% heal bonus doesn't even affect itself, it only affects heals from other skills or players. Funnel Health is much better group Utility unless you are a tank because it heals two other players for just as much as it heals the NB for each cast.

Swallow soul has something alternative to scale up with its rank (the % healing increase) while funnel health does not. Generally abilities and their morphs that don't have a secondary function will scale in their damage done instead.
That's weird, because my Swallow Soul tool tip is slightly higher than Force Pulse.
