Survive Privacy Policy
Survive / realite suisse gmbhUpdated: October 3, 2026
Survive helps you prepare a household plan and use offline information. The core app needs no account. We do not show third-party advertising or sell personal data.
Information stored on your device
Household details, confirmed inventory, expiry dates, family plans, selected contacts, saved places, checklist progress, bookmarks, game progress and preferences are stored locally. The optional crisis game is a separate fictional simulation and does not read your household inventory or contacts. The optional AI processes chat on the device. Your personal plan is not sent to our analytics service.
You decide whether to print, export or share information. Family PDFs include the contacts saved in Survive. Backup files contain personal information; store and share them accordingly. Printing and sharing create temporary local PDF/JSON copies in the app cache. Copies older than 24 hours are removed during the next export; the operating system may clear its cache earlier. Survive does not upload these copies itself. Operating-system backups may also copy app data according to your device settings. Uninstalling or clearing app data removes local app information but does not remove copies you previously exported or backed up.
Optional device permissions
Permissions are requested when you use a relevant feature. The household planner does not require these permissions.
- Location: coordinates, compass, waypoints and map tools.
- Contacts: selecting people for your local family and friends list. We do not upload your address book.
- Camera: access to the camera flash for light signals; this feature does not take photos or videos.
- Microphone: receiving nearby sound messages. The app does not record microphone audio for upload.
- Notifications: optional reminders scheduled on your device.
Purchases and external services
Google Play or the Apple App Store and RevenueCat process product identifiers, purchase information and app user identifiers to sell, verify, restore and manage Pro access. Store payment and retention policies apply. These billing services operate independently of optional analytics consent.
Online maps use OpenFreeMap; the optional AI model is downloaded from Hugging Face. OpenFreeMap describes anonymized server logs and possible temporary IP logging for security investigations. Hugging Face describes its handling of download and connection information. Downloading maps or the optional AI model contacts these providers. They receive requests for resources and connection metadata such as IP addresses. Requests for map tiles also identify the map area you view or download. Opening a source link or sharing through another app uses that service's policies. Initial downloads, purchase validation and online resources require a connection. Personal plans and bundled guides remain available locally.
Optional usage analytics
Usage analytics is off by default and unavailable in builds without an analytics configuration. If you explicitly enable it in Settings, selected event names and timestamps are sent with a random installation identifier to PostHog's EU endpoint. Events cover app sessions, first recorded plan completion, plan updates and reviews, paywall viewing, and purchase start, completion, cancellation, pending approval or failure.
No household details, inventory, contacts, locations, notes, free text, chats or emergency interactions are attached. We do not enable automatic event capture, screen recording, session replay, advertising profiles or location enrichment. This is pseudonymous data, not anonymous data. Network providers can process IP addresses as connection metadata.
When offline, up to 50 pending events are kept locally for up to seven days. Turning analytics off stops collection, aborts an in-flight request where possible, and removes the queue and local identifier. This does not remove events already received. For access or deletion requests concerning information processed by the developer, contact the address below. Analytics is not enabled in this release. Before offering it, we will publish the applicable server retention period and deletion procedure here.
Your choices
You can change optional analytics in Settings without losing core functions or Pro access. Edit local records in the app, export a backup, or clear app data through your operating system. Purchase providers may retain transaction records under their policies and legal obligations.
Survive is a general-audience app and is not designed specifically for children. Household planning may include information you choose to record about children or other people; it remains part of your local plan.
