Terrible this gimmick is...it is visually stunning for sure watching the trailer and that's
it....the only way the switch works is if I close my eyes and cant see it and the switch is
done...if I put ear plugs in there is no noise... cant perform on a video or in front of someone...I
wasted my $$ on this and since I wasted my $$ I actually threw it in the garbage...my review is
harsh but it is what it is ..JUNK

Very interesting design and thinking. Unfortunately the illusion leaves you very dirty and has an
issue with noise. The sound and overall cost are the reasons for the 3 rating.

The illusion is very good. Unfortunately, there is noise associated with the illusion. Not
recommended for close-up due to the noise and the visibility of the crease. Very disappointed in
the operational functionality of this effect. Once more with the use of videos and the control of
how the video is created, you the consumer is convinced of how great this illusion appears. The
video does not allow for the noise of the gimmick and the visibility of the crease. Shame on
Mickael Chatelain for misleading the consumer and shame on Penguin Magic for not screening their
products and for not insisting on their products be promoted with honesty and defects be made known.
Illusion is great but is handicapped in its performance due to the noise and the visibility of the
crease. I do not recommend purchasing this product. It is a regrettable purchase for me.

Super hole is one of those effects that is as much fun to practice with as it is to perform. It does
require a decent amount of practice in fact, in order to get it smooth. The gimmick is a little
frail but once you have it figured out, there should be no problem constructing others as needed.
If you intend on carrying this around a lot be careful as it will show signs of wear and tear. This
is a pro quality effect however and is worth the time and money to learn it. I hope you have as much
fun finding things to drop through the hole as I do. Let your imagination fly and make this routine
special. Enjoy! And thanks Mikael Chatelaine for a really fun one.

Visually stunning..butttt I wish there was a forum for this for a sticking point I have,but can't
obviously be talked about in this non-private area.

Maybe it's just mine.... but the switch from the hole placed on the box and the actual hole is so
visible. I can't do this for video and cant imagine doing it in front of someone. On The trailer and
explanation video the switch is undectiable. I bought it fo video purposes only and knowing I
wouldnt use it in my act.

Mine isn't close to what it looks like in the trailer and instructional video. I wanted this just
for video and I can't even use it for the video and can't imagine using it infront of someone...The
gimmick is good..My issue is the switch from the hole you place on the box to the hole in the box is
so visable and can hear the switch instantly...maybe it's just mine

"A trip to the 4th dimension right in front of your spectators" Black holes have the property of absorbing everything that comes in contact with them. Some say that they are doors in time and space that allow passage from one place to another. During your close-up routine and after some card tricks with the deck, suggest that you'll try something with the case. The cards will not be used in this effect - you leave them aside. With the case closed, you take a small black disk from your pocket - a disk about the size of a 2 euro coin. "Here's a black hole," you explain. "Black holes are secret doors between the real world and the 4th dimension. Even though it seems ordinary, this black hole allows passage to another dimension, to another place. It allows matter to pass through matter." Your spectators will be intrigued. "You doubt it? Watch...!" You place mysterious black hole on the case. You invite your spectators to watch what happens next... they're not going to believe it! Your index finger approaches the black hole. As soon as it touches the hole, it seems to pass into another dimension! Yes! Your finger sinks in as if absorbed by the black hole! Everything happens within inches of your spectators! You've got to see it to believe it! You pull your finger out and repeat at will! After a few seconds, you suggest something even more incredible! You invite a spectator to lend you a coin. The spectator signs the coin to avoid all suspicion of any possible switch. Holding it at the tips your thumb and forefinger, you bring the coin toward the black hole. As before with your finger, the coin seems to be absorbed by the black hole - an uncanny illusion! Again, the coin seems sucked into the black hole! You let it go and it disappears completely! Seeing is believing! You explain that the coin has passed into another dimension, another world. You shake the case; something rattles inside! You gently open the case and allow the contents to fall on your spectator's palm. A coin! The very coin the spectator signed! Remove the black hole from the case. There's NO SIGN of ANY opening! Has the passage of matter through matter now become possible? Allow me a few more words about this incredible experiment:

The Kola Superdeep Borehole ( Russian : Кольская сверхглубокая скважина , romanized : Kol'skaya sverkhglubokaya skvazhina ) SG-3 [note 1] is the result of a scientific drilling project of the Soviet Union in the Pechengsky District , near the Russian border with Norway, on the Kola Peninsula . The project attempted to drill as deeply as possible into the Earth's crust .

Drilling began on 24 May 1970 using the Uralmash -4E , and later the Uralmash-15000 series drilling rig, and it became the deepest manmade hole in history in 1979. The 23-centimetre (9 in) diameter boreholes were drilled by branching from a central hole. [1] The deepest reached 12,262 metres (40,230 ft; 7.619 mi) in 1989, the deepest artificial point on Earth.

In terms of true vertical depth , it is the deepest borehole in the world. For two decades, it was also the world's longest borehole in terms of measured depth along the well bore until it was surpassed in 2008 by the 12,289-metre-long (40,318 ft) Al Shaheen Oil Well in Qatar . [2] [ citation needed ]

Drilling began on 24 May 1970 using the Uralmash-4E , a serial drilling rig used for drilling oil wells. The rig was slightly modified to be able to reach a 7,000-meter (23,000 ft) depth. In 1974, the new purpose-built Uralmash-15000 drilling rig was installed onsite, named after the new target depth, set at 15,000 metres (49,000 ft). [3]

On 6 June 1979, the world depth record held by the Bertha Rogers hole in Washita County, Oklahoma , United States, at 9,583 meters (31,440 ft), [4] was broken. In October 1982, the first hole reached 11,662 metres (38,261 ft), [5] and the second hole was started in January 1983 from a 9,300-metre (30,500 ft) depth of the first hole. [3]

In 1983, the drill passed 12,000 metres (39,000 ft) in the second hole, and drilling was stopped for about a year for numerous scientific and celebratory visits to the site. [6]

This idle period may have contributed to a breakdown after drilling resumed; on 27 September 1984, after drilling to 12,066 metres (39,587 ft), a 5,000-millimetre (200 in) section of the drill string twisted off and was left in the hole. Drilling was restarted in September 1986 from 7,000 metres (23,000 ft) from the first hole. [6] [5]

The third hole reached 12,262 metres (40,230 ft) in 1989. [ citation needed ] In that year, the hole depth was expected to reach 13,500 metres (44,300 ft) by the end of 1990 and 15,000 metres (49,000 ft) by 1993. [7] [8] [ failed verification ]

In June 1990, a breakdown occurred in the third hole at 12,262 metres (40,230 ft) of depth. The drilling of the fourth hole was started in January 1991 from 9,653 metres (31,670 ft) of depth of third hole. The drilling of the fourth hole was stopped in April 1992 at 11,882 metres (38,983 ft) of depth. Drilling of the fifth hole started in April 1994 from 8,278 metres (27,159 ft) of depth of the third hole. Drilling was stopped in August 1994 at 8,578 metres (28,143 ft) of depth due to lack of funds and the well itself was mothballed. [5] [9]

Because of higher-than-expected temperatures at this depth and location, 180 °C (356 °F) instead of the expected 100 °C (212 °F), drilling deeper was deemed unfeasible. The unexpected decrease in density, the greater porosity, and the unexpectedly high temperatures caused the rock to behave somewhat like a plastic, making drilling nearly impossible. [10] [ better source needed ]

The Kola Superdeep Borehole penetrated about a third of the way through the Baltic Shield continental crust , estimated to be around 35 kilometres (22 mi) deep, reaching Archean rocks at the bottom. [11] The project has been a site of extensive geophysical examinations. The stated areas of study were the deep structure of the Baltic Shield, seismic discontinuities and the thermal regime in the Earth's crust, the physical and chemical composition of the deep crust and the transition from upper to lower crust, lithospheric geophysics, and to create and develop technologies for deep geophysical study.

To scientists, one of the more fascinating findings to emerge from this well is that no transition from granite to basalt was found at the depth of about seven kilometres (4.3 mi), where the velocity of seismic waves has a discontinuity. Instead, the change in the seismic wave velocity is caused by a metamorphic transition in the granite rock. In addition, the rock at that depth had been thoroughly fractured and was saturated with water, which was surprising. This water, unlike surface water, must have come from deep-crust minerals and had been unable to reach the surface because of a layer of impermeable rock. [12]

Microscopic plankton fossils were found six kilometres (3.7 mi) below the surface. [1]

Another unexpected discovery was a large quantity of hydrogen gas. The drilling mud that flowed out of the hole was described as "boiling" with hydrogen. [13]

In 1992, an international geophysical experiment obtained a reflection seismic crustal cross-section through t
