Son Goku is a boy we meet in a forest far from any civilization. He lives in this forest alone as his grandpa passed away, he only has this special orb-like object called a Dragon Ball to remember him by, which he will sometimes talk to as if it is his Grandpa Gohan. As the series continues, Goku meets Bulma, a brilliant teenage girl, and they go on a journey to collect these 7 magical dragon balls which actually have wish granting powers once all of them are collected. During this journey they meet and befriend Yamcha, Oolong, and Pu'ar, whose characters mirror those found in Wu Cheng'en's Journey to the West. Goku also encounters one his closest friends, Kuririn, and others during his time training. Participating in several World Martials Arts Tournaments, Goku also battles foes-turned-allies such as Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu, as well as the offspring of Demon King Piccolo named Piccolo Junior.

Dragon Ball Z takes place 5 years after the defeat of King Piccolo and Goku's last world tournament. We come to find out that Son Goku was originally named Kakarot, and is born a member of a race of extraterrestrials called the Saiyans. Shortly following his birth, Goku was sent from his home, planet Vegeta, to prepare Earth for sale on the intergalactic market by destroying all its life but due to that injury to his head that caused him severe amnesia, Goku forgot his purpose, and instead started focusing on becoming stronger for a little more than the pleasure of it. He now has a son named Son Gohan (named after Grandpa Gohan) who is some what of a cry baby but has hidden potential. Throughout the series, Goku faces terribly strong opponents like other powerful Saiyans, Intergalactic Rulers, Androids, and Extraterrestrial Beings that give him fights like no other. Along with new enemies, Goku also gains new friends that help him in these situations.

In Dragon Ball GT, which was not based on Toriyama's manga, Goku is turned into a child by a wish on the dragon balls by Pilaf. The series revolves around him traveling around space to find the Black Star Dragon Balls with the help of his granddaughter, Pan, and Trunks. The series ends with Goku leaving for good with Shenron and returning one hundred years later to witness the match between Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr.

In Dragon Ball Online (which takes place 216 years after Dragon Ball Z, and unlike Dragon Ball GT, Toriyama had a lot of creative control over the story), a new villain by the name of Miira appears with the goal to obtain Goku's DNA. In Cross Epoch, the Dragon Ball and One Piece crossover one-shot, Goku is seen accompanying Luffy to attend a party hosted by Shenron from whom key characters from both series had received an invitation.

About Character and Role:

Race: Saiyan
Date of Birth: Age 732
Height: 164 cm (5' 5")
Hobby: Training
Favorite Food: All types of food

Known Family: King Vegeta (father), Tarble (brother), Bulma (wife) Trunks (son) Bra [Bulla] (daughter)

Vegeta is a character from the manga series Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama.

Aside from Goku, Gohan and Piccolo, he is easily one of the most prominent characters in the series, receiving more character development after being introduced than a number of other characters. Vegeta is haughty, arrogant, and filled with hatred and bitterness as a result of the destruction of his home planet and his race's abusive treatment at the hands of Freeza. His royal status seems to have caused him to develop an inflated sense of superiority and he holds himself above most people he encounters. In Cross Epoch (the Dragon Ball and One Piece crossover one-shot) Vegeta is the captain of an air ship and is seen wearing an eye patch and a cape with a clasp featuring the Kanji character for "vegetable." Trunks, Usopp, and Nico Robin are members of his crew.

Trunks

γƒˆγƒ©γƒ³γ‚―γ‚Ή

Character ID: 2707

About Character and Role:

Race: Half-Human, Half-Saiyan
Birth Year: 766 Age
Height: (Future Trunks) 170 cm (5'6'') (Kid Trunks) 129 cm (4'2'')
Weight: (Future Trunks) 60 kg (132 lbs) (Kid Trunks) 30 kg (66 lbs)
Hobby: (Future Trunks) Tinkering with Machines (Kid Trunks) Video Games
Favorite food: (Future Trunks) Convenience Store Bento (Kid Trunks) Barbecued Meat
Favorite vehicle: (Future Trunks) Time Machine (Kid Trunks) Sports Air Car

A mysterious person who comes from the future and tells our protagonist Son Goku of the bleak future to come. He is characterized as well-mannered, serious and very cautious, he wears a Capsule Corp jacket, tank-top, jeans and carries a sword on his back.

This mystery man can go Super Saiyan!? He is the only other person we see go Super Saiyan aside from Son Goku at this point in time, and not only can this person go Super Saiyan but he also takes care of Frieza with ease. Trunks, as the son of Bulma and Vegeta, is a half-Saiyan half-human hybrid like Gohan. There are two versions of Trunks. One, designated Future Trunks, is from a future timeline who travels back in time with the help of a time machine created by Bulma to try and prevent the disastrous events that occurred in his timeline from happening. The other, designated Kid Trunks, is the recently born, then later depicted as a child, version who didn't travel through time.

Future Trunks battled the android twins 17 and 18 but was never able to beat them so travelled back in time to the point where a rebuilt Freeza and King Cold had just arrived at Earth. He quickly and effortlessly defeated them then gave Goku some heart medicine that would prevent him from dying soon and also delivered a warning about a hidden threat, the androids, that would suddenly appear in three years time. Future Trunks would later take on a role in fighting the androids and Cell. Future Trunks was skilled at science and had a serious attitude.

Future Trunks reappears in Dragon Ball Super as his timeline is once again in danger and a new more powerful and ominous threat has arrived. He is the same character as he was in Dragon Ball Z although he wears different clothing and keeps his sword, he wears a different Capsule Corp jacket and pants and a red scarf. His hair colour has also changed to blue, presumably to match his mother, but also symbolically to represent "hope" as Trunks is the only hope of his universe.

Kid Trunks, who, in contrast to his future counterpart, has a cocksure attitude, develops a close friendship with Goten. They are able to transform into a stronger combined version called Gotenks through a Fusion Dance. He took a leading role in the events of Dragonball GT, which was about the journey around space of Trunks, Goku, and Pan in search of the Black Star Dragonballs.

In Dragon Ball Online (which takes place 216 years after the end of Dragon Ball Z, and unlike DBGT, Akira Toriyama had a lot of creative control over the story) it's stated that Present Day Trunks and Goten had founded the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School in 805 Age. As for Future Trunks, he takes the role of "Time Patrol" and transports players to certain points in time. In Cross Epoch, the Dragon Ball and One Piece Crossover one-shot, Trunks is seen with horns and is a crew member aboard Captain Vegeta's airship.

Hit

γƒ’γƒƒγƒˆ, Hitto

Character ID: 126883

About Character and Role:

Born over 1000 years ago, Hit has been an assassin for a long time. He is famous for his highly efficient work at his job as all of his past assassinations were successfully completed. His signature for completing each assignment is to kill the target in a single strike. Hit is stoic and composed, constantly appearing emotionless and indifferent to most events. An expert in his craft, Hit shows great confidence and fortitude in any challenge presented before him. Hit also seems to be confident in his abilities. Showing a very no-nonsense attitude, he is straight to the point and speaks no more than necessary. To which, Hit will carry out his contracts, no matter whom his targets may be, nor can he be bribed or convinced to turn away from the assignment. More to his unwavering commitment and resolve, even when at a disadvantage, Hit refuses to back down from the challenge, choosing to face the opponent head-on, as noted by Cabba. The only instance in which Hit has ever shown fear of anything, is when Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6, was determined on destroying him, but even then he was not willing to go down without a fight. Stemming from his antisocial nature, he apparently is somewhat ignorant of certain forms of showing respect, as he was slightly surprised when Goku bows to him. At the same time, he is a very astute and intuitive individual, constantly perceiving the situation at hand, determining how best to handle it. Hit is noted to be the strongest warrior in Universe 6 for the Tournament of Destroyers and initially their ace fighter for the Tournament of Power. Even after witnessing Kale's newfound Legendary Super Saiyan form, Hit was still considered the strongest of Team Universe 6. Thanks to his power and special techniques Hit is able to fight on par with God-like beings such as Super Saiyan Blue. Unlike most fighters who can manipulate their ki, Hit does not appear to use energy blasts often. Instead, he relies on close-range combat. He wears his long flowing jacket and tends to keep his hands in his pockets to better mask his sudden movements. When holding back, his style of combat revolves mainly in a basic but solid fighting stance. Once serious, his style becomes more akin to Wing Chun. His main tactic in battle is precise and quick jabs to various vital points with blazing speed in combination with his Time-Skip. These strikes appear as rays of light bursting from his opponents. Hit was completely unimpressed even by the stronger people in the tournament. He doesn't open his eyes until Goku becomes a Super Saiyan, and even then only for a moment. He does have some respect for Vegeta's Super Saiyan Blue form, however.

Jiren

About Character and Role:

When Toppo tells Jiren to participate in the Tournament of Power, he initially refuses to enter - as while it is his duty to protect Universe 11, he will not cause the destruction of other universes to save his own. He will never kill any villains he defeats and instead captures them. Even more, he shows disgust towards those who actively kill and do not follow justice. This is seen when Jiren mocks Hit's "honor" as an assassin, deeming it as rubbish. However, Jiren has a wish that he wants to fulfill, to the point that he will go against his own principles to get that wish - and as such he enters the tournament to obtain the Super Dragon Balls, although he still states that if any trouble should occur for Universe 11, he would immediately leave to help.
